4andnotout · 22/04/2009 18:49

sasamaxx Glad it got to you ok, i would try without a booster to begin with and then if you need one i used to put it on the outside of the nappy, but not sure how that works with wool?

theNatty - did you get the liners?

Ohh the nappy rash. I did a bad thing. Harriet was at out-of-ours cos her screaming colics scared me, and the GP gave her cannestan with steroid as she said it looked like thrush. I knew it wasn't - it comes up when the colic is bad - but I took it and used it and the rash went BUT today the hv said stop as her skin has thinned and crinkled up because of the steroid.

So now I want to hit myself with a brick. I NEVER use ANYTHING on either of them - except occasional dirobase on dd1. I only ever use totally natural products painfully researched by me. Urgh.

AM big sack of depleted mummy emotions tonight. Poor Harriet. On plus side have referral to consultant to deal with the colic - I'm thinking milk intolerance.

Waving labour pom poms for you Soon - doesn't seem 2 mins since this thread was waving them for me.

twoclimbingboys · 22/04/2009 19:55

soon - I even use fleece liners in fleece lined nappies. I realise that 2 layers of fleece is known to cause leaks but I haven't found it to so far!

twoclimbingboys · 22/04/2009 21:00

Is it just me who can't get on cnt tonight? So frustrating - i've got e-mail notifications that I have messages.

sasamaxx · 22/04/2009 21:19

rusmum - great - could you send pics to [email protected]?
(Think I want them anyway)

soon2befamilyof4 · 22/04/2009 22:25

TCB - I have had trouble too but it is working now.

I have tonight but DD to bed with our new disana wool soaker over her UDNN. If it works as well as I think it will then i think it is going to become my favorite nappy related item! I lanolised it about a week ago. It did take a good few days to dry but it was worth it. It is so soft and cozy, fit perfectly and just looks so comfy! And I didn't need to bother putting PJ bottoms on over the top, so its just that and her PJ top.

I got my minkitimes today! It is very nice! It is the giffafe print one. Got another cow UDNN too so I can have matching babies bums! .

My baby was actually due today! No sign what so ever though! Tomorrow night would be a good night for me to go into labour as my sister has managed to get down for the weekend again which is fantastic but it could be the last time she is around for a while - and she would be perfect 24 hour standby for DD! And she obviously wants to meet her new niece as soon as she can!

TheNatty · 22/04/2009 22:43

no no liners yet tree. did u send them recorded? i have a recorded parcel sitting in the postal office im collecting tomorrow, perhaps thats them.

mothercare got some cheap BG in their larger store, 20% of rrp. also bg reusable wipes, tots bots nappies and liners are 20% off.

the tots bots liners fit perfectly in my BG and TB AIOs, no folding required lol! i will be stocking up, they are 2 rolls for 3 quid, which i thought was good.

Does anybody else have any greenkids pockets? I can't work out how they go smaller for newborns? They don't have poppers like the other onesize ones but would be HUGE on a newborn as they are. It would come up to the armpits! I have anytimes and minkytimes and they are both the same?!

swampster · 23/04/2009 12:57

This is the secret of the Greenkids, soon. I have a couple of Minkytimes and an Anytimes. Even folded they are fairly big on a littlie but quite bombproof. I like them. DS3 is 11 weeks now and not the biggest bub but I don't have to fold them down any more and they seem pretty comfy. Using the inserts they cam with too now. (BG ones before).

Enjoy your camping trip 4.
