Yay JennyPenny! I'd love to be a tester. Haven't seen the wipes, will check it out.

I bought a wipes warmer last month, cos one day we will go over to normal wipes I think. For now instead of putting a pack of wipes in to warm I sling chammonile tea in and it keeps the water warm for dd2 lovely little bum. I likeit.

The wool - def at least 80% wool, and an arran weight is thought best I believe. Not entirely sure though!

AM having some longies knitted from a patern I got, in cream and biscuit thick stripes, with a ruffle edge to the ankles.

Have also purchased some yellow mix shorts and a dress with matching wrap by Baby its you, in a tea party theme. Thats for next summer really [maddness but I loved it]. All thi sbefore the redundancy news I hasten to add!

Now then - a strange thing has happened to one of my two itti's. It has gone all crinkly in the wash, almost like the pul has shrunk, but not the fabric.

Anyone had similar? Bit as I only have 2. Wail!

ceb80 · 01/06/2009 14:35

Jen GK arrived today thanks

JennyPenny22 · 01/06/2009 20:28

Great - are they all ok?

I have put Elouise to bed in her UD fleece to give it a full test. IF it doesn't leak over night then it will be worth investing in more.

So today,

My itti has gone weird
A fuzzi has leaked
ABG has leaked.

Wtf?

ceb80 · 01/06/2009 20:54

Yes, they're fine thanks, just need to get some more inserts as haven't got enough to go round! I already have the double hemp ones, have you tried the bamboo GK ones? Are they the same as the hemp as I find them a bit bulky and sometimes get wicking round the legs.

Sounds like a bad nappy day Tree no helpful suggestions I'm afraid, maybe someone else will have the answers!

Octothechildherder · 01/06/2009 20:55

Tree - have you changed washing powder? I would chuck them all through on a no detergent wash - my fuzzis did it when I changed from liquid to powder.

treedelivery · 01/06/2009 21:08

Good idea!

4andnotout · 01/06/2009 21:46

Evening all
I had some tots flexiwraps come today and they are fantastic, they look brand new yet i only paid £2.50 each
I have also got 2 UDOS and the strawberry nappy coming and 3 bbos inserts to go in the udos's.
tree i have days like that too, dd3 leaked through a bbos in about 2 hours this morning havent changed liquid though but will try a no detergent wash too incase we have build n something up.
My cousin is bringing her newborn over to my parents tommorow with my grandparents so im going over to snuggle him Going to put dd3 & dd4 in stunning nappies to try and show her what she is missing

Octothechildherder · 01/06/2009 22:11

I had a look at UD nappies - very cool!

Octothechildherder · 01/06/2009 22:15

4andnotout - did you find the fluffle easyfit leaked - we have been struggling with it! ds now nearly (fingers crossed) potty trained. I prefer the bamboo ones.

I will be selling my fuzzis, blueberrys, lollipop rainbows, cowfleece, bamboozles and lots of others when convinced her has grasped it!

4andnotout · 01/06/2009 22:25

I found the fluffle ones were more prone to leaks, the bamboo ones very rarely leak but we got a few with the fluffles, mainly with dd3 who pees like a cart horse!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 01/06/2009 23:46

anyone tried Lollipop softees and microfleece fitted nappies? I've got 1 of each (in size 1) to trial for our local real nappy project. They are trying to find something to replace the previous Fluffle they put in their starter kits (they like to have one quick drying nappy along with the others). They're certainly very quick drying and soft, (and nice and flexible for small babies) but I really prefer natural fibres! But far better to touch than Little Lamb microfibre nappies - I hate the one I got! Don't know why I decided to pick it for my free nappy in the giveaway - guess cause I'd never tried that one of theirs (had cotton & bamboo before). But I so wish I'd got bamboo instead! LOL Oh well. Just not sure I'll ever want to use it! Anyway, I think for a quick drying nappy (or hard water areas), the Lollipop ones are quite good. I just like real fibres to go under wool!

Hope everyone is doing OK. Loving the great weather we're getting. Children are enjoying spending the entire days outside, which gives me a bit more peace! And Clement is quite a happy baby too (as long as he's kept cool and in minimal clothing!) and he slept 7 solid hours on Saturday night!

treedelivery · 01/06/2009 23:53

Those are all I used to begin with, apart from ME Sandy's. I really like them. The microfleece with a fleece wrap make amazing nighttime nappies - they are touch dry in the morning so far. Like you say, hard water and line drying too, they are a bit of a winner.

Glad Clement is settled happy man for you.

Octothechildherder · 02/06/2009 01:05

Rachel - glad you like the lollipop nappies - would you like to test a lollipop bamboo? I can send you a used one to try out - would be good to know what you think.

email me [email protected]

JennyPenny22 · 02/06/2009 10:06

I have either lollipop softees or lollipop micro but I am not sure which one. I was 99% sure they were softies but then I sold one (very cheaply - 99p on auction!) And have just had a complaint to say it isn't a softee . Feel bad now, but have offered a refund. TBH though, I don't find them absorbant enough - but even our bamboo nappies are drenched after 3 hours or so (on Talia - 5 weeks) I think it is too much time on boob!

treedelivery · 02/06/2009 10:18

Softees are like big balls of cotton wool, it's quite a long furry fleece.

Micro are tight and short, like a blanket type fleece. What colour is it?

For 99p get it returned to you - surely you would get more on CNT or used nappies? I'd have it for way more but we need size 2 really.

treedelivery · 02/06/2009 10:28

Oh a bb side snap arrived this am, from ages ago. It has had a posting nightmare that nappy. The lady has been very nice about it all I kept missing it's delivery!

Brown with blue spots. It's so so soft and tidy! Looking forward to trying it.

Camping Thursday, the campervanning. Will miss the nappies.

JennyPenny22 · 02/06/2009 14:22

I think it is actually a micro. The lady has now said not to worry about it anyway. Yes I know 99p was way too cheap, I expected it to go for more, but started it off at 99p. Oh well. I have more though if anybody is interested? They are mostly brand new, I prewashed them all, I have used one but can't tell which one!

JennyPenny22 · 02/06/2009 14:41

I need your help. I am trying to decide what fabric to have an UD fleece wrap made of. Its out of these but I want one of the girly ones. They are all nice! Not the blush strip as I already have one of those, and needs to be an "in stock" PLEASE tell me your opinions! . I sold ipod for £45 - all going on nappies!

4andnotout · 02/06/2009 15:01

I liked aqua spot, monster bugs, i love cats

ceb80 · 02/06/2009 16:07

Anyone seen these before
pee pee teepee!

eclairea · 02/06/2009 17:15

Hi cloth users. Does anyone have a nappy bag or two they could sell me? Ones like the nappy lady sells that hold 4-5 used cloth nappies and then can just be put straight in the machine with the nappies? I need a few for when ds goes to nursery. Also any chance anyone has some babygrow extenders they would like to sell as well?

Octothechildherder · 02/06/2009 17:41

I have some cheap white one on ebay shop lollipopclothnappies - they hold about 3 normal sized nappies - not huge stuffables! - having clearout of them - they are only £2.75 I think.

There used to be pee tee pees ages ago called willy wigwams!

I am really surprised people part with their nappies for 99p - quite a few been doing it recently - madness! Better on here or nappytree where you can get a decent price.

4andnotout · 02/06/2009 17:55
