ady? In the day

With the weather I mean I don't bother if it's raining or misty [get a lot of mist around here. Sea fret they call it. Think fog in other words. Brrrrrr]

Nappies were out in several downpours yesterday - thats great as they are so much softer and better rinsed than our crap tap water can do. If it rained enough I would invent some rainwater collection device for my washing machine tbh.

JennyPenny22 · 17/05/2009 17:17

Tree - I don't think there is much wrong with leaving them that long if you are happy that they are clean and are not stinking your house out! Elouise's stink after 24 hours ish but Talias don't. I have enough nappies for a full load every 1.5 days though so they don't last that long! Makes sense to make the most of the weather if you can - which is what I do with clothes.

Do you think it is wrong to sell something for more than you paid for? I can't remember what I paid for stuff and worried that I might charge more and the seller see and get peed off?! Am I being silly?

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 17:23

Not wrong at all - they are worth what people will pay for them I reckon. Not that I can remember what I paid for any of my nappies [except my one small itti - a fiver, bargain of the decade]

I can see your dd on CNT! And the 2 climbing boys. Lovely!

Hey listen I can delete that if you don't wnat your pics advertised around mn Sorry!

JennyPenny22 · 17/05/2009 17:29

Was that for me? As in a pic of my DD? Where can you see that on CNT? I don't mind at all - just don't remember putting one on!

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 17:34

On your ages thingie, though one is still a scan photo

JennyPenny22 · 17/05/2009 19:28

I am soooo gutted. I honestly thought it was saturday today. All day yesterday I thought it was friday. I feel like I have lost a day!

JennyPenny22 · 17/05/2009 19:30

How do I show you a photo on here? I took a picture of Talia in her little wool soaker! Lol.

rusmum · 17/05/2009 19:37

did anyone get bamboo size 2 as their free Lamb?? I LOVE mine and want more!!

twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 20:08

Tree - I am so sorry I seriously can't find a tape measure, my house is a tip. Even in the shed, but the xl minki is at least 7 cms longer in the rise than the xl bumhuggers and fits more stuff in (I used the height chart in Toby's room lol). Thanks for the comment about the boy's photo!

Jenny - I wouldn't worry about the prices at all.

Rusmum - I love the ll bamboo as well. It seems to be staying so soft, but I think it if fairly bulky and takes a good while to dry, even comapred with the hemp and wnnn's I have.

TheNatty · 17/05/2009 20:34

jenny the WNNN is bamboo, fleece inner, its got that trifold insert with booster.
its an excellent nappy tbh, shame to be rid of it, but on the small side for ellen now.

i put my last lot of nappies in the wash today and they stank to high heaven as they were night nappies and had been sitting about 3 days.
took 3 washes one with vinegar to get the smell out.

i just cant hack it, setting of my MS, so sticking to disposbales till baby is born, then they can go into new ones. i want so XL WNNN as they are the only thing that worked particallary well, and have to be special ordered.

OP posts:
twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 20:43

My new WNNNs have arrived - the XL for Toby is a lovely fit and the new style are so much higher in the rise, so a better fit for both of mine.

TheNatty · 17/05/2009 20:48

TCB that sounds great! i will be investing and will start to use them once baby is born and i can wash daily once more.

do let me know any problems you have with them, how well they do for absorbancy

OP posts:
twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 20:51

natty - lollipop left a msg on cnt letting me know that they aren't as good as the old style as they can gape if you add anything extra in. I will let you know a full review in a couple of weeks!

TheNatty · 17/05/2009 20:52

What's CNT?

4andnotout · 17/05/2009 21:42

Evening all
My nappies have been lovely and soft since using bold 2in1 but i think the flexitots are shedding from it Will keep using it as it makes everything so soft and smells a million times better than it ever did (and i ahve gallons of the stuff as it is BOGOF in Tesco today!)

I havent had any fluffy post in ages I think i only have small airflows and a few cotton totsbots to sell too, will have to sort all my spare nappy bags and pushchair accessories out to raise some funds, ordered a new pink phil and teds yesterday so skint now

twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 21:47

4 - I am sure there was a thread about flexitots shedding and it was a fault. I think tots have been replacing them for people if I am remembering properly.

Sorry wasting - it is cloth nappy tree . com

twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 21:51

speaking of fluffy post - I love the look of this aqua seas minkee at Upsy Daisy

treedelivery · 17/05/2009 21:53

cnt - somewhere else to find out about nappies spend on fluffy post

Which bold you using 4? The liquid?

Congrats on new pink P&T am very [green].We have a Jane twin powertrak as I worship and adore our old single. Not used yet as prefer dd2 facing me, but dd1 very excited about the idea [at 4.5!]
Will maybe bring on holiday, just can't bear idea of her facing away. I bought a loola just so dd2 could face me up till she was 3

btw, I got two of these and it turns out they are the 70/30 most absorbent microfibre mix and ultra thick and fluffy. So shall be hacking one into inserts and soakers and maybe even a nappy!! I reckon I'd get 5-8 inserts from it, for £4. Bargain!

wastingmyeducation · 17/05/2009 21:57

That looks good twocb, I shall have a good look later.

Is that where people sell nappies? I am thinking of selling some and I haven't done second-hand yet.

twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 22:04

I use there, uk parents lounge and a yahoo real nappy network.

twoclimbingboys · 17/05/2009 22:06

tree - what a bargain! I might get some and cut them to wonderoo insert shape and size as spares.

4andnotout · 17/05/2009 22:07

tree i have been using the powder but bought the liquid as it is on offer Until the p&t arrives im down to only one pram and that is a huge mountain buggy double Hope the p&t gets here soon!

twocb my size twos had shed a bit previously but since switching when you open the machine you can see the fibres that have come out Im not sure if it is just the flexitots or the other nappies too as my bbos inserts had some loose fibres this morning when i pegged them out it's a conondrum

JennyPenny22 · 17/05/2009 23:20

I use 1 bold 2 in 1 tablet and a bit of soda crystals to soften water seems to work!

4 - i am selling cotton tots bots too but they don't seem to sell well?!
In fact, I have tonnes of cotton nappies that I want to shift! I have been sorting some out into boxes so I can sell a box at a time! Lol. Last time I was selling too much in one go and got confused!

Everybody who has bought nappies from me - I will post tomorrow for you!

I have one cow and one zebra BBOS left. There are no inserts left now so have reduced to £10 each posted! OR I can add a different insert for a small extra cost.

I have finally found my camera so got to take lots of photos and then I can get selling! Got some brand new MEOS and ME sandys that are going on ebay.

TCB - WHY did you send me to UD website?! You know, I can't close that window now till I have made an order?!! I don't even want the fabric you linked to as I have girls but just got looking at everything else!
Can I ask, where on their site can you see the other fabrics/patterns? I can't find them anywhere?
