Cracking top of page post, Swampster

Thank you for the explanation. I hope that karma can be restored too, I enjoy ILMD&MO's posts very much.

TheNatty · 15/05/2009 21:54

excuse me i did make the donation, as far as i was aware everything was fine.

i paid the hospital, then a few weeks later i get a horrid letter sent t omy house
she sent it recorded delivery, which i missed as i wasnt expecting it, and had to travel 2 miles to my local parcel office to collect
saying basically that i had stolen money from a charity by not paying it, and how rude i was when i HAD paid it

she had my email why didnt she just email me? why send rude letters to my house?

and i dont even have the nappy as my changing bag was stolen off the buggy the day i went to the pacel office

which is another reason im annoyed, as my bag wouldnt have been stolen if i hadnt had to go to collect this rude letter off her in the first place. she could have just emailed me? why didnt she?

anyway shes the one being silly, as all i have said to her is what i posted on her yesterday, if she wants to flounce off because i got annoyed with being hassled about something i had already paid for and said several times i had paid for well thats her problem.

im not the bad guy here

Don't want to be in the middle here or take sides but can I ask something?

  • How would anybody know if a donation has been made? I am just wondering where ILMD is getting her information from? Surely the hospital can't give out that information? Obviously we have no idea who is in the wrong here but I just wondered if we actually KNOW that the donation wasn't made? I know I would hate to be accused of something I hadn't done.

Hope we can sort everything out.

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 22:06

Natty - please don't feel that anyone thinks 'you are the bad guy'. This is none of our business really. I didn't think your post yesterday was aggressive.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 22:06

Me too

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 22:08

x-post sorry jenny.

I agree with Jenny. The hospital wouldn't release that and it is easy to get in a muddle with who is sending what nappy/ebay purchases - it doesn't mean that they haven't been paid for. I would be very upset to be accused too.

TheNatty · 15/05/2009 22:09

no i didnt think it was either i am very that she seems to think i was having a go.
i wanted to scream "FOR FUCKS SAKE I PAID YOU"
but i thought it was a very measured responce as i hate offending people on here.

she has been posting all over MN today so im sure she will be back, who could stay away from fluffy threads long

JennyPenny22 · 15/05/2009 22:23

Natty - I was the same and everybody kept saying how huge I was. BUT 3 weeks after the birth and I weigh less than before I got pregnant with DD2! Shame I put on loads just before I got pregnant though!

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 22:31

Jenny - you are making me horribly jealous of your weight loss! I must have eaten like a pig when breastfeeding, as I lost hardly any.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 22:43

I put on tonnes [well, stones] when I stopped bf dd1. I hardly put on any in pregnancy with dd2 and it was gone in 2 weeks - but am still left with origional hardcore fat from the toddler years with dd1. Bugger.

It was after wedding in 2007 - it was just so nice to eat without worrying about the dress. So I did. And then did some more.

I seem to be stuck at 90kgs now which is a bugger - will have to proper diet to go under 90kgs I think [glum]

JennyPenny22 · 15/05/2009 22:44

See I PUT ON weight while breastfeeding - which is where my problem lies. I don't seem to gain much in pregnancy as i spend most of the 9 months vomitting everything up . But eat like a pig BF and with DD1 thats where I gained it all - and i have yet to loose that. I am now BF DD2 and praying I don't do the same again. I am starting proper excerise after my 6 week check. Also meant to be starting slimming world anytime soon but keep putting it off because I crave chocolate so much! . We are going to tennerife in september in a big group of (slim) family which is why I care, otherwise I wouldn't be that bothered.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 22:47

Oh God it's so tedious isn't it? Loosing weight I mean? And it's a real bore cos we all know it will pile back on if we so much as look at a chip buttie. Phht.

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 22:53

I went to slimming world for 1 week after having DS2 and then didn't go back - I just can't be bothered at the moment. It was particularly helpful that my sister taught DS1 (who I had to take with me and was 23 months at the time) to say 'hello fatties' while I was upstairs

tree - I weigh 2 stone more than when I got married. I just tell DH he got more than he paid for !

When it comes to holidays the spare flesh on my tum bothers me more than my weight - I can't imagine me ever wearing a bikini again tbh.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 22:57

When at Alton Towers dd1 said 'mummy will you be able to go on a ride...you are so...y'know...flumpy' [or something like that]

She's 4 the tyke. Am trying to instil positive body image regardless of weight etc etc and so laughed and said I would be more comfy as my bum is well padded and softer to cudle up to if she were scared etc.

Then sobbed into my mega coke.

Had to LOL at 'hello fatties'.

JennyPenny22 · 15/05/2009 23:11

See I am more bothered about my stretch marks than weight. I have them REALLY bad, I dont think I have ever seen worse, even on telly. And it isn't just my tummy so can't cover them all up - its legs and everything! I don't even know why I have them there - they are even on my calves etc - not somewhere I have particually put on weight! And the worst thing is - they will never completly go so I have to deal with them for life

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 23:12

they are just so honest it's awful isn't it! she sounds hilarious!

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 23:13

Oo now stretch marks...

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 23:16

I'll see your stretch marks and raise you....

this

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 23:17

jenny - I know what you mean. I even have them on the back of my knees from the pregnancy with Blake. They won't go but they will fade to practically nothing. I had them badly on my boobs as a teenager and they are really hardly visible now, it took about 3 or so years.
