The Muslin thing confuses me - how long are you meant to use them for? Other than the first 2 days, before my milk came in, Talia soaks through even stuff like tots bots etc so surely a muslin isn't going to be very absorbant? But I have heard a lot of people use them - what am I missing?

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 01:00

I used them till we cleared meconium. So about 3 days. The xs sandy's and size 1 lollipop fleece.

I seem to remember somebody looking for wonderoos? There are some cheap ish ones on UKPL?

Jenny - TLES was after some wonderoos!

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 12:10

Ooo yes TLES!

btw - mine are £5 tles - I didn't realise there was no insert so £6.50 waaaaaaaaaaaay too much. You should have said!

But if you find some cheaper send mine back - no worries

Had a night in microfleece nappy, fleece wrap and fleece trousers. Brilliant. Nappy nearly dry this am and no wetness or leaks any where really. Very important as she sleeps in crook of my arm!

If they are reading this, can I say Thank you to the person who received my upsy daisy order in error, and who then posted it on to me. I really appreciate your honesty and trouble taken to sort out a problem not of your making.

Sorry to read your post ilovemydog , I didn't see the post that prompted your decision, but hope you find your way back here at some point.

ceb80 · 15/05/2009 16:19

JetLi · 15/05/2009 19:19

Dashing in with a question for you lovely ladies.... I've realised I need nippa's - so is one nippa much like any other nippa or are all nippa's not made equal?
The nippa nappies I have are TotsBots Fluffles if that makes any difference
Thanks in advance

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 19:30

i have 2 types of nippas and they are both fine on my fluffles

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 20:03

'Dad does nappy' funny story -

I thought dd2 was feeling a bit damp after only 3 hours. I found an unstuffed bbos with a thirste wrap over the top.

Must get flow chart for him.

Can't help on nippas, I can't use em. I hopeless with them.

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 20:26

haha tree, but at least he is having a go with cloth.

I got Blake out of bed in the morning last week and was stunned he had leaked through a WNNN, until I realised it had been put on without a wrap!!!

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 20:31

Now then. DD1 is still in nappies at night, no sign of dry nights at all.

She has finally agreed that a washable might be nicer than a size 6 pampers which are a bit tight on her.

What do you all suggest? Tried a tb fluffle size 2, too small.

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 20:53

Tree - how old is DD1 and what size clothes is she in?
Toby is in age 3-4 clothes. I use fleece lined nappies on him - so we have 2 XL bumhuggers and a very, very old style WNNN that the elastic has gone in so it fits perfectly. I can still fit him in size 2 fluffles, but not easily or with much boosting. Suzanne is making an XL NN for him.
There is still plenty of growing room in the bumhuggers, but I just hate applix so i'm thinking of selling those and asking Amber at UD if she could make him a couple of XL NNs (when, if ever, funds allow).
He also has an XL standard minki, but that is really huge. He has it on tonight, although it is huge there is no gaping so fingers crossed it won't leak.

If you aren't too bothered about them being fleece lined - treehuggermums have bamboo toddlease (sandys) for £6.40, but I don't like just using a fleece liners of a night in case they scrunch up.

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 20:58

Sorry - yoy need that info doh!
She is 4.5, slim and otherwise average.

xl bumhuggers sound good if there is room in your ds's. Will look into those ans a minki

twoclimbingboys · 15/05/2009 21:13

The minki seems great. The pocket is huge for boosting and it had crossover tabs. Ours is preloved and I think it was less that £5 posted. It is Toby's favourite as it has a really cute cotton outer of safari animals.
I don't know if the xl bumhuggers would be long enough in the rise - I could measure one for you in the morning?

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 21:24

That ould be great cheers mi dear!

swampster · 15/05/2009 21:26

I'm going to attempt to explain why ilmd has left the building because I heart ilmd.

A while back she sent a BG to thenatty and asked that, in lieu of payment a donation should be sent to an appeal that she is involved with at the hospital where her DS was being treated.

A while later she asked if the BG had been received and got:

ilovemydog yes i got it but couldnt remember who had sent it thank you very much!

So clearly no donation had been made...

treedelivery · 15/05/2009 21:31

Oh dear I heart ilmd too.

We must protect our fluffy world!

Did thenatty not post she had made the donation?

I dunno like, it's nothing to do with me really- but would be nice to have fluffy karma back so I hope it can be resolved.
