Was it red, by any chance, rachel?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 07/05/2009 19:18

LOL - yes, it is red! It's shrunk from a large too, but at least I can see what one looks like in real life!

Ewe · 07/05/2009 20:10

Evening Ladies

Popping in for a quick bit of advice, I bought a starter pack of cloth nappies that I never used and am looking to sell them. Where would you suggest? I vaugely remember hearing that you can't sell them on ebay, is this true?

Hope you don't mind me asking, feel free to tell me to bugger off

I haven't sent for mine either as my printer isn't working. I bet I am going to miss out again - I didn't know anything about the free pop in when it was around.

I have registered with CNA now but this whole BBM thing is bugging me! Everything is like 10 pages long and sold anyway! Or am I missing something?

twoclimbingboys · 07/05/2009 20:24

ewe - if they are new you can list on ebay - it is only used ones that aren't allowed. You could also list on cloth nappy tree and uk parents lounge (they both have no fees at all).

jenny it all seems a bit odd doesn't it? I registed but don't think I will be using it at all tbh.

rusmum · 07/05/2009 20:24

Ewe can sell on here, e bay if they are unused, uk parents lounge, cloth nappy tree, the used nappy co. What are they?

JennyPenny22 · 07/05/2009 20:30

Ewe - if they are brand new then ebay let you but not used. What ones are they out of interest?

Ewe · 07/05/2009 21:23

Cloth Nappy Tree looks fab, I was hoping to try and find a specialist site like this. It is this www.thecottontailcompany.com/index.php?productid=202 starter kit although have no clue what size the wraps are. Need to get the box out, my foray into cloth didn't get further than the purchasing unfortunately

I forgot Mumsnet have sale boards still, will have a look over there too, thanks for the reminder and the other site suggestions.

Deemented · 07/05/2009 21:24

Jenny - things are being listed all the time on BBM, it's just a question of seeing if you like something when it's added. Most WAHM's add new things either daily or every other day.

ceb80 · 07/05/2009 22:16

Thanks for everyone's advice earlier, changed booster in the BG and it lasted for almost 3 hours, result! He just obviously has more wee than the average newborn or is he not classed as a new born at almost 6 weeks?!!

JennyPenny22 · 07/05/2009 22:22

Will keep an eye out on BBM then, not that I have any money! Wool seems to be my new addiction!

Has anybody used a disana soaker on a toddler in the day? What do you do about clothes? Nothing will fit over the top but too cold not to wear anything? Have just lanolised it but it had been through the washing machine so would like to check its waterproof. It has been fine for nights before that though so hoping it will be OK,

JennyPenny22 · 07/05/2009 22:24

ceb - thats great news! knew you would be able to sort something out!

treedelivery · 07/05/2009 22:38

Hi all.

Good ceb got the BG issue sorted.

All good here, fluffy post today of a fleece totbot wrap and kissaluv size 2, and a turqoise [sp] itti which is the most lovely colour. Was a bargain.

AM getting obsesssed with wooly longies and skorts and all that stuff. Am thinking nanna could knit them for me!

JennyPenny22 · 08/05/2009 00:10

My fluffy post was some more XS sandys that I got from CNT so have plenty now.

Have had 2 (minor) leaks today from the LL softies, but they were brand new and I hadn't even prewashed so I am sure that is why. I am just super lazy! And I have realised as I am typing that I should have put the unused ones in with todays napy wash. Oh well.

I also found a BBOS that was left, DIRTY in a bag! I am not sure how long it has been there, not ages as it was in the living room under some bags of baby presents (yes I am a slattern . The nappy STANK! Really gross! And as it was one of Elouise's ones, I still had to tip the poo out before shoving in the machine! Was gross I have to say. Not 100% sure it will recover fully! Will see when I hang the washing up!

I washed some longies and 2 wool wraps today in the machine on a wool wash and they all seem to come out fine. So they can lanlolise tonight - last nights ones are still soaking, but its my fault for being lazy and not rolling them out in a towel!

Can't wait to try Talias new soaker!

I have at least one, I think a few, XS wraps with zebra print if anybody is interested? Brand new. Talia is growing too fast!

twoclimbingboys · 08/05/2009 10:59

Morning All. I always wash longies in the machine, but the wool wash on mine is 40 degrees so I always use the handwash cycle and then a separate slow spin - they seem fine so far.

I vaguely remember someone on MN (months ago) mentioning that they lanolise lazily by putting lansinoh in the fabric conditioner drawer of the washng machine. I am tempted to try it - what do you all think of that as an idea?

Upsay Daisy have just e-mailed to say they are posting my 4 orders today! I am thrilled. I ordered with WN over 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard, but I am ridiculously impatient and they are custom orders with an XL NN pattern being done for the first time.

afterglow · 08/05/2009 12:34

ooh, I am waiting for an upsy daisy order too, but mine was placed last week in real nappy week so I think I'll be waiting a while yet. I'm so impatient though!

twoclimbingboys · 08/05/2009 12:57

3 of mine were placed during RNW too! Amber is doing mine and and a custom wrap that I ordered earlier. I am really impressed and the customer service is fab. What have you ordered?

afterglow · 08/05/2009 13:03

A one size aplix pocket with the springtime minkee spotted outer and pale pink microfleece inner. I just need to get some pretty dresses to go over it now.

twoclimbingboys · 08/05/2009 13:06

That sounds lovely! If Blake was a girl I am sure I would be bankrupt with all the nappies and clothes I would want for him. I've just realised that was really nosey of me - I hope you didn't mind me asking.

treedelivery · 08/05/2009 18:56

Hi folks.

Got the freebie little wrap today. It's brill really isn't it! Free nappy and wrap.

Yay for all your nappy fluff orders - I am wanting doem longies now. Where would you suggest I head for them? Am hoping mil will get knitting once I suss out they are going to work for us. Also saw skorts which are a must.

Off to alton towers water park, mega drive but worth it. So see you all Monday.

Hope BBOS survives - it will be right with good wash and some sun

JennyPenny22 · 08/05/2009 20:00

I might have to get rid of my BBOS (not the dirty one, I just mean in general!). I was really looking forward to them for the summer, but Elouise has had a growth spurt and they keep leaking where they are very small on her - even though they are meant to be BTP and she is only 16 months! She was naked but with a BBOS on for an hour before bath today after covering herself in water, and the nappy kept falling off! At first I thought she undid it herslef but then after that I watched it just pop undone where it was bursting!

I have also decided to get rid of all my cotton shaped nappies! . I have always said I would never sell my MEOS and I am tempted to keep them but they just don't get used!

So if anybody is interested I have for sale:
Loads of cotton shaped nappies, loads of wraps in various sizes, childrens books, cotton boosters.

Need to get some more funds! Although DH is going to go mad when he sees my UD order! I still want more from them though!

Really annoyed at myself that I didn't send off for the free nappy. My printer wasn't working but I wish I had made the effort to go somewhere else to print it? I guess it will be pointless trying now?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 08/05/2009 22:53

off on holiday in the morning for 2 weeks!

Looking forward to a break away from the usual - apart from the fact of dreadful disposable nappies! I was determined to take cloth along until I found out there was no washing machine. boo hoo

Anyway, don't miss me too much! (just kidding!) Will be back soon to chat about nappies! x

ceb80 · 08/05/2009 22:55

Have a great time!

twoclimbingboys · 08/05/2009 22:57

Jenny - what a pain about the BBOS, but at least they sell really well.

Tree and Rachel - enjoy yourselves. V x

JennyPenny22 · 08/05/2009 23:16

Does anybody know how much BBOS are selling for? My mind has gone blank as to how much they cost me! Some have inserts, some don't. None have stains, so all GUC. Its hard to know if I should keep them for Talia as she will grow into them soon enough. Not sure what I would replace them with? Elouise was in them most of the time, but now we might have to go back to using shaped nappies and wraps. Hoping Wool will work well and then we can go down that route.

Does anybody know if MEOS sell well? No idea how much I could expect to get for some if I decided to sell? If I am hardly going to get anything for them then I might as well keep them in a box incase I do want to use them at any stage but if I can get some money for them, then I would be happy to part with them.
