Sure thing Wont be able to post until thursday though when the p.o reopens

JennyPenny22 · 05/05/2009 12:43

I was looking for bamboo ones really - what are the fluffle ones like? Are they bulky? Can you remove the booster same as the bamboo ones? Basically, if I use for DD1, I remove the bamboo booster and put in an easy peasy hemp. DO you think this would still work with the fluffle?

4andnotout · 05/05/2009 14:33

They are exatcly the same except that the fold out portion is fluffle rather than bamboo, the insert is still the same, i do have 2 white bamboo ones but was going to keep those.

JennyPenny22: I think it was 3 pounds including postage I was thinking for the WN trifold & poppered insert (just getting back what I paid for it). So you can let me know when you find out what the small stacinators are like and how much you want for them. Would want wool that's in decent condition though, as I recently bought some pre-loved wool which was rather too nasty for my liking. Not at all saying somethiing you're selling would be that but just don't really want stained wool!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/05/2009 15:50

should have also said that afraid I'm not looking for another size 0 tots fleece wrap. Although I love the one I have, I think Clement will very soon be out of that size, so better not buy anything else that small. Thanks for the offer though.

rusmum · 05/05/2009 16:24

4 whats that with the fairy on the bum?? not liking fit of tots cant seen to get it right wraps wise. what you got in the tots on that pic????

rusmum · 05/05/2009 16:27

4- the itti i have left is lime also have 2 sets inserts and 2 mini boosters left

4andnotout · 05/05/2009 16:30

The fairy is a wacky wrap but i only have the green tiddlebums wrap left now, do you mean the size 1 tots? That is the sewn in fleece liner, the other tots are the tots aio's fluffle version
Im v.tempted by the itti but need to make some cash first!

treedelivery · 05/05/2009 18:41

All wrap problems can be solved by thirsties. I heart them.

JennyPenny22 · 05/05/2009 19:33

Am I the only one who is not remotely tempted by the ittis? They just don't appeal to me at all. If I saw one really cheap I guess I wouldn't mind trying one to see what the fuss is all about but other than that, there is no appeal what so ever to me.

Is anybody looking for any wraps? I have WAY too many but can't decide what to keep and what not to! But if anybody was looking for something in particular then I would be more than happy to help if I have what you want as it would help me destash and have some more money for things that will actually be used!

I am trying to sell off my Usborne book stock (I am an organiser but not currently doing much with it). Does anybody have any idea where I can sell them? Not ebay though. I want them for nappy funds!

afterglow · 05/05/2009 20:42

I heart thirsties wraps too. Though I've been unable to fit one over a sandys.

Ittis didn't do it for me, Jenny. I loved the prettiness, though I did find them a little low rise, but I really didn't like all the poppering and folding inside. I'm hoping that the bbh minkees that are on their way will be pretty, higher rise and less of a faff.

JennyPenny22 · 05/05/2009 21:11

I don't even think ittis are that pretty TBH. Compared to some of the lovely patterned nappies and wraps you can get anyway.

DD1 has gone to bed in longies for the first time. We have had them for a few weeks but they looked too small so I put them aside, but as her wool soaker stank and needed to be washed, it is down here waiting to be lanolised again. So that left me looking for something wool to use tonight over her UDNN. I don't like to use PUL overnight as ELouise just ends up drenched! Anyway, I love longies now. They look so comfy on her and then didn't need PJ bottoms. Not going to buy anymore longies for her though till after the summer. When it gets to winter again we will definatly be investing in more longies.

Rachel - Wool wraps. Right. The blue one is quite stained and probably not much good for you/not worth selling. The green one though, doesn't have poo stains but does have some sort of spots over it. I THINK it is just from where it has been lanolised and the lanolin wasn't melted properly iyswim? I am hoping to lanolise some other bits tonight, shall I put the green ones in and see if the spots go away? It is definatly not poo or anything, not the right sort of marks, but couldn't garantee it is lanolin. Looks like it though. I don't want loads for it, not really sure what it is worth?! Will see what I can find by searching online.

treedelivery · 05/05/2009 22:16

I like itti's as they are so slim between the legs, and also the softness of the fabric. And the colours. Sigh. I only put the on einsert in though, on 2 poppers so that is very easy I find.

Will be really really interested to hear about the nnh minkies though!

Haven't tried a thirstie over a sandy, but I can see how they wouldn't work. ME have such a specific square shape I think.

Will wool on a newbie non roller not leak as it is squashed when they lie on it all night. [all night, as if, about 30 mins on this house]

Can't wait to diversify into wool.

4andnotout · 05/05/2009 22:21

I love my itti's especially the purple it is the same shade as cadbury wrappers
See i just dont 'get' wool, i tried it and didn't like it at all.
tree the blue tots is all yours, my pp is [email protected]

treedelivery · 05/05/2009 22:26

Oh yes of course it is - I forgot I had it. Will pay now.

God don't tell dh! Have spent a fortuna major recently!

Still getting used to jennyPenny22. I still call you Soon in my head!

treedelivery · 05/05/2009 22:30

All done 4, dunno if my address is on the invoice biut gis shout if not will email it.

Bad night to be my Harriet. The colic monster is giving her a big shake. Poor poor mite. She is being carried up and down the stairs by dh. I seem to make her worse, smelling the milk she can't drink for belly ache.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/05/2009 22:34

JennyPenny22: Yes, do let me know if the spots come out if you soak it with the others. As long as they're not too unsightly, might still be interested. Guess it's mainly the poo stains that I don't want wool to have! lol Nappies can sun out, but had no success hanging a couple of woolies out in the sun on a very sunny day!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 05/05/2009 22:38

tree: awwww, poor Harriet! and poor you & dh too - it's soooooooo difficult with colic baby! My first seemed to have it for a couple of months, but thankfully didn't last too long. Always been afraid we'd get a repeat of it with later children, but so far not reappeared. Though Clement has had restless day the past 2 days - I held him practically all day yesterday (and worn in sling) and about 3/4 of today. He'd just scream if put down, but was a peaceful/beautiful baby in the sling!

JennyPenny22 · 05/05/2009 22:42

4 what didn't you like about wool if you don't mind me asking? I find it soo much nicer at night, but am yet to convert to using it during the day, but that is mainly because we mainly use pockets in the day. I hope to use wool in the day eventually but at the moment, don't have much suitable.

Tree - We have been using wool at night on Talia, just an old wrap at the moment but I have some gorgeous brand new girly ones that I am hoping to lanolise overnight but I have 2 non sleeping babies at the moment . I have a soaker that is pink and yellow knitted and some pink longies. They are SO cute!

Wool is just so much softer than PUL which is what I like. Elouise started to get deep red marks on her legs from airflows at night.

4andnotout · 05/05/2009 22:53

I think it was a combination of the lanolising rigmarole, the smell, and the feel of the wet wool. Also i always dress mine in vests and babygro's so longies were out and soakers wick with too much pressure, it just didn't inspire me

treedelivery · 05/05/2009 22:56

I have a fleece wrap on the way, so maybe I need to try wool too. I thought it was better when they were on the move so they didn't get big 'wicking' spots where they laid?

Will try anything once, and find, like you Jenny, that wraps are a bit too harsh often. Hence I love using fuzzi's as wraps! No sharp edges! A bonus of itti's too.

JennyPenny22 · 05/05/2009 23:24

TBH I think the only thing I don't like about wool is that they can take days to dry. The lanolising doesn't bother me as making it up is just the same level of effort as making a cup of tea, so I do it with the last cup of the evening, then let them soak in a bowl overnight.

I have only just tried fleece, and haven't given it much of a go yet but so far not over impressed. Found it quite bulky, but can't remember what I had it over. Going to try it again tonight.

Not too sure about the whole wicking thing, we haven't had any problems yet but I am not an expert on Wool at all. Elouise only uses it at night but obviously she is old enough to move about in bed. Talia obviously isn't but is still tiny so doesn't do enough wee for it to leak really yet.

swampster · 06/05/2009 09:39

I am lanolising my Sugar Peas woollies for use for the very first time right now and I LOVE Sugar Peas fleece wraps - they are quite trim.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/05/2009 10:54

*swampster: oooh, I want some! Just had to Google and see what the fleece covers look like and they look lovely! But never see any come up secondhand over here - guess it's cause they're American and not taken off over here yet? They look sooo scrummy though! But afraid I never buy new nappies LOL - just like to buy loads of secondhand ones! Then again, if I bought less used (since one doesn't really need millions of nappies!) I could buy a few new instead!

afterglow · 06/05/2009 11:50

I like my wool. We have 1 pair woollywraps shorties, 1pair of woollywraps pants and one preloved pair of shorties. I like using them when we're in the house or garden, over sandys or bbhs. I did once use the sandys + shorties on an epic pushchair/shopping/pizza express trip and we were fine but for a little clamminess on the outside. The lanolising doesn't bother me, I thought it would, but it's really no hassle.

I hope Harriet and Clement are both better today.
