I would love 2 more dc's but dh is set against it!

I can't believe i'm saying this but i'm not convinced ittis suit blake's shape. I may start by selling my large jade with a spare set of inserts. It has no stains etc - how much could I ask for it with the extra set of inserts?

4andnotout · 10/04/2009 20:59

I think there are a few shops doing them for £10.99 so i'd say £9 delivered plus the extra for inserts as i dont know what they retail at Im very tempted myself but i think i already have a large jade.

Anyone want any size 2 flexitots? Im going to sell a couple so that i can get a couple of size 1's

thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/04/2009 21:28

treedelivery: Just wondering, did you say you used cloth from the first nappy, or only after the sticky meconium was over? The earliest I used cloth was day 6 - but this time (whenever baby appears!) I'd really like to use cloth from the start. But I know some people seem to think the early poo just won't come off/clean...but surely it must be possible! lol

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 21:31

We were there from the start
The meconium came off the stuff I washed, the big explosions I threw out tbh, I used muslin and maybe 2 got slung out.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/04/2009 21:34

Thinking it should be OK with decent sized fleece liners on top of shaped nappies (xs sandy's etc)? tho I do have the Disana tie-on nappies too - but they look a bit daunting! lol

4andnotout · 10/04/2009 21:42

I used cloth from 12hours (when we were forcibly removed from hospital, i wanted to stay for a fortnights rest!) i just threw away any really bad merconiumed liners!

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 22:09

4 - I can spare 2 I am sure. Only thing is, being easter weekend, it might be tuesday before I can get to the post office - is that ok? I think my local one is open till 12 tomorrow but I don't think they will be dry in time! I assume the will be closed sunday and bank holiday monday? Do you still have my email address for PP?

tree - I wasn't aiming it at you - I don't blame you for not wanting to sell. I am not desperate for them anyway. I have loads of smalls and onesize pockets as well as some shaped terries that are pretty small. But if you do decide to sell, then defiantly let me know.

Out of interest, when you say she is growing out of them - what are you moving onto?

Have FINALLY got DD to sleep after sitting with her for about an hour - desperate to get her sleep sorted before this baby arrives so did everything to keep her in her bed.

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 22:46

Soon - I should just do it and know they have gone to a good nappy home!

But I reaaaallllllly want another dc - but by then nappies will be so totally cool. Even ME Sandy's will come in red I bet!

DD calls....again.....Night all

twoclimbingboys · 10/04/2009 23:31

rachel those disana tie on nappies look so cute. Please post photos if you are brave enough to have a bash at putting one on when bump arrives

Just out of interest how do newbie cloth nappies fit around the umbilical cord? (as pampers new baby are so slim I just folded underneath to make sure it stayed clean)

tree if only it wasn't morally so wrong to just go ahead and get pregnant without our dh's consent!

I think I might sell my large jade itti with an extra set of inserts for £13.50 posted?

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 23:47

Rachel - I would be REALLY grateful if you would try out the tie on when your LO arrives and give me some feedback! I have been umming and aring about them for ages! But haven't spoken to anybody who has used them! Haven't seen any preloved either but I know they are very cheap - even to buy new.

4andnotout · 11/04/2009 09:50

soon how much do you want posted and what is your pp? Im off out in a bit so it might be this evening is that ok?

treedelivery · 11/04/2009 10:57

Morning - nappy rash again here. Urgh. E45 nappy rash cream sorts it 1-2 changes but still .

Big bad night, my own fault as she slept 11 till 3, but instead of doing same dh and I had a big 24 session. As Jack left my screen. dd woke up and did so every hour after that.

WISH WISH WISH I'd got a disana now, just for fun if nothing else - so go Rachel. We will need pics.

twoclimbingboys · 11/04/2009 11:07

I have decided to also well my 2 BBHs and 3 WNNNs - to buy Blake 3 brand new WNNNs. DH will be irritated - oh well ...

TheNatty · 11/04/2009 11:36

what sizes are they TCB?

swampster · 11/04/2009 12:23

I have a couple of disana tie-ons kicking about if you are interested, soon. I found them a bit too origami for me.

I'm at the out-laws right now, everyone has gone to look at the sea but DS3 (asleep) and me (malingering with a cold. And MNing!) BLISS.

twoclimbingboys · 11/04/2009 14:55

The BBHs are BTP and the WNNNs are all large. One I bought off Rachel last week, the other is bamboo outer (I think) with a monkey eating a banana embroidered on and a blue fleece inner.

One of them is the very old style - not side snap and has a combination of buttons and poppers, but the elastic isn't great. Although skinny legged Blake hasn't had any leaks for some strange reason? It has a plain bamboo outer and a blue fleece inner.

TheNatty · 11/04/2009 15:39

i would love to have one of each, but no funds till 23rd
someone paid for an item on paypal and they are withholding the funds until then for some strange reason. AND i have to post it first apparently.

thats a week and a half away, but if you coud keep them for me i would be super thankful.

BBH is baby beehind yes?

twoclimbingboys · 11/04/2009 15:52

Natty - I have no probs waiting until the 23rd, but someone on CNT has already said they may want both BBHs. Is she doesn't get back to me you can definitely have one.

Which WNNN would you like me to save you? The one that I got off Rachel is £6.50 posted, the monkey one is £7.50 posted and the one where the elastic is going is £6.00 posted.

TheNatty · 11/04/2009 16:00

what one is the one rachel sent you? is it bamboo?
i have one WNNN which is bamboo and works fine, how absorbant have you found them?

soon2befamilyof4 · 11/04/2009 17:23

I think Rachel is in labour now by the way. She is on the same antenatal thread as me, and has been having contractions etc for days but things were picking up and now she has been gone for quite a while. 24 hours I think.

Can anybody tell me why I am getting charged to pay people with paypal when paying directly from a card rather than from PP funds? I always used to pay like this and never had a problem but not it charges me unless I have the funds in PP. Really annoying as I need to order some more inserts but bit worried that I will get charged extra.

I got my UDNN today in medium and it looks like it will be big enough - will try tonight. Only thing is, I don't know how I will tell the difference between this one and my large for putting them together with inserts etc (the inserts are sized so I need to make sure the right one goes in the right nappy iyswim). Was thinking about putting a dot or something on it with a pen somewhere but don't want to end up decreasing it's value when I come to sell? I just don't wat to have to riddle about measuring them against each other each time I wash. There isn't an obvious difference in the size without comparing.

treedelivery · 11/04/2009 17:32

No idea Soon sorry!

Yeah Rachel!

soon2befamilyof4 · 11/04/2009 17:34

4 - do you have anything you would want to swap for the BBOS inserts? Looking for onesize pockets, hemp or bamboo inserts or tiny nappies for newborn (as in smaller than size1/small), anything in french soy.

Swampster - I am defiantly interested in the tie ones to try out. How much you looking for?

swampster · 11/04/2009 17:44

Soon, £2 to cover postage? I think I have two, will check in a couple of days when I get home.

Also have a couple of size 0 Tots fleece wraps and (old style) PUL wraps if anyone is interested.

4andnotout · 11/04/2009 18:52

soon i have a newborn lolipop softee, or have some bamboo hourglass boosters or some hemp trifold inserts?

soon2befamilyof4 · 11/04/2009 19:24

Would be interested in the bamboo boosters and/or the hemp trifolds. Are they very absorbant? We curently use an easy peasy hemp insert wrapped in a pettis dessous insert - do you think they would match the absorbancy? This is for daytime.

The UDNN medium fit DD so she is in it tonight. Fingers crossed it is absorbant enough - I guess it has less fabric than a large.

We are getting very sore marks from my airflows so might have to look into fleece or wool. We did buy woolies but they were too small.

Swamster - do you mean £2 each or £2 for the 2? . And how much you asking for the size 0 fleece wrap(s)? We have lots of pul ones but some fleece might be good - I have never tried them. What colour as well?
