I find a fleece Stacinator with a BBH bomb-proof at night. Fleece is too bulky for day time IMO and prone to compression wicking.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 21/03/2009 15:02

I've not tried fleece wraps at night, but I have a fleece Stacinator too, and Benajmin's worn it around the house (under loose fitting clothes) and it works very well indeed. Looks very soft and comfy too!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 21/03/2009 15:37

mumoftoby re: BBH, yes please. Paypal is the same. You are so organized if you know which is mine!

AnnVan - could you send me your email address or shall I cat you?

4notout are you still interested in BBH?

I am going to use a minki pocket tonight instead of a WNNN as I won't be here and it will be DH putting DD to bed. How many EP Hemp inserts do you all think I should use? I will have to put a layer or so of bamboo or cotton over the top.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 21/03/2009 17:15

Sorry, but never used hemp inserts before so can't give any advice! I did use Minki pockets on both of mine for over a year at nights. For Abigail I just used a large Junior Joy ordinary prefold and a microfibre insert and lasted her OK, but guess she wouldn't have been clasified as a heavy wetter. And for Benjamin I used a bamboo prefold. I used Minkis on Abigail until she potty trained - and they always worked fine, regardless of what kind of pyjamas she wore. However, Benjamin is a tummy sleeper and we got wet clothes when he started wearing cotton pyjamas (because of eczema). As long as he was in fleece sleepsuits, the minkis were great though! So although I don't have anyone wearing Minki fleece pockets, I'm keeping them for future use! Just in case bump (or any later babies! LOL) is either a girl (and they work like for Abigail) or a boy, and doesn't have eczema and need cotton sleepwear!

Sorry to have rambled on without giving any advice!

mumoftoby · 21/03/2009 18:10

I use fleece stacinator or tots wraps at night and they work really well.

I have also used the fleece tots of a day at home and i've had no leaks.

4andnotout · 21/03/2009 21:07

We are off to Gt Yarmouth, it isn't far from us but it was only £89 for a static caravan mon-fri on a haven site. Be lovely for the kids, and me and dp will enjoy the bar! How many do you have left?

treedelivery · 21/03/2009 21:54

Have splurged on a NEW, yes NEW, totsbots AIO onesize thingie, can't remember name. Its green with stars and lovely.

But am really gutted with the outer and the legs in particular. It feels really rough and scratchy. Anyone got them and agrees or do they soften or have I got a faulty one. It feels like scrunched paper on the leg cuff! Poo.

Got a thrsties nappy which is velour like and makes an itti feel rough. Lovely stuff. Also wrap which is quite nice too, sort of BG shape.

Gutted about TB. May have to return it!

4andnotout · 21/03/2009 21:57

I love my tots easyfits, i haven't found them rough yet but you do have to do up fairly tight on the legs as i have had a few leaks from dd4's scrawny leg pits

treedelivery · 21/03/2009 22:08

If you run your finger round the leg does it feel scratchy? Maybe I have a dodgy one. I love it otherwise. So silky soft inside and love the print.

4andnotout · 21/03/2009 22:19

I will have a feel tommorow when i get home, im really worried that i left wet nappies in the washing machine before leaving home on thursday

treedelivery · 21/03/2009 22:21

Oh no! Even worse than leaving gas on!!

Can't wait to try new pop in and new thirsties. When the pop in box arrived I thought they had sent me the entire starter kit as that was how it was labelled. Now that would kick ass.

4andnotout · 21/03/2009 22:26

I know Dp is trying to convince me that if i have they will be fine but he just doesn't want to drive home and check what is wrong with the man does he not understand how important nappies are?!?!?!

TheNatty · 21/03/2009 23:14

lol @ washing machine full of nappies!

tree my tots bots seems fine, not noticed any scratchyness, and it certainly doesnt leave lines or anything on ellens skin (which used to mark with MEOS)
if you do decide to sell it on, i will give u full price for it as you havent had it long, just cover the postage for me

havent emailed seller yet about lack of inserts and greying peeling velcro, i reckon she will ignore it anyway
not impressed as i paid £30 for 4, and i cant use them out the house they are that tatty i would be ashamed to be seem in them.

that'll teach me to buy things from ppl i dont know lol..
not that i count you lot in that

soon2befamilyof4 · 22/03/2009 01:00

Well have used 3 hemp inserts and one double bamboo insert on top. I will let you know how we get on! We started off with 4 in there but it was so bulky and heavy I felt mean. Lets hope this lasts the night!

Natty - I have sold something before where the buyer wasn't happy. I felt awful and gave her a full refund and in my occasion it wasn't intentional at all. So I would def email to see what she says. If you don't get a reply then you know she was in the wrong. Did you pay paypal? Did you send it personal or for goods?

ellielou02 · 22/03/2009 08:45

Good morning & happy mothers day!!! Does anyone know of any sites that I could get some pre loved nappies?
Thanks

TheLadyEvenstar · 22/03/2009 08:59

Ellielou, what are you wanting? THIS is always a good place to start!!!

Isn't it sad about Jade Goody

ellielou02 · 22/03/2009 11:04

Its awful her poor family!!
I was looking thinking about trying BBOS and BBH? I have a girl and she is 19 weeks and approx 16lb.

soon2befamilyof4 · 22/03/2009 11:48

Cloth nappy tree forum is great for preloved and so is uk parents lounge. If you google you will find the web addresses. Sorry I am a bit rushed!

Off to FILs today which is an hour or so away ad we should have left an hour or so ago! Collecting some preloved freecycle nappies too. In fact, some are brand new! So looking forward to seeing what they have. Sounds like Sandys which is good.

I am dying some more nappies tomorrow. Doing pink tomorrow! Going to get some more purple but put more washing in to get a lighter shade. My other purple ones are a very deep purple and look fab, but would still look fab several shades lighter and works out cheaper to do more anyway.

No postman today as it is Sunday! I feel deprived!

Still haven't got my easy peasy order!

TheNatty · 22/03/2009 15:31

i emailed and put a message on here, and have heard nothing.
might just have to keep them as house nappies, u wouldnt feel right selling them on, as they are in terrible condition.

brand new all the way for me from now on, i could have put that 30 quid towards something else i am very annoyed.

hope your easy peasy come soon soon i ordered at the same time so i should think so, i think it was wednesday i got mine.

first day at home since getting the hemp inserts so i can test them to full capacity, i have put just one in with a microfibre insert thats fairly thin, its done 2 hours so far, waiting to see how long till it leaks so i can work out how many i may need for night times.
will be trying a MEOS with a nature babies wrap and as many hemp as i can tonight, i would like to avoid buying to many diff night time ones if i can, it can work out so expensive (not to mention addictive)
