Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

sorry soon but I would only want orange or royal blue wonderoos (as I already have loads) or ella's house hemp nappies with a flap out booster (the whole no dryer thing again)

soon2befamilyof4 · 09/04/2009 22:13

I don't use a dryer either - i don't think many people here do, do they?

I have just sold another 3 wraps on ebay - well one sold and 2 are still going but have enough bids that I am happy and any extra is a bonus. Now got to decide if I should get another UDNN or get some EP hemp inserts with the money?! I guess I will have to see if the medium UDNN fits when it arrives. I think they are still waiting for a french soy delivery anyway for now.

4andnotout · 09/04/2009 22:18

I try not to use a drier but sometimes i have no option! Thats a positive to having so many nappies that i can let them dry on airer and still have enough to use! Got to find an insert for my UDOS, it is chocolate brown minkee with lilac spots and lilac fleece inside, cant wait to try it!

gosh that took me a while to catch up too!

bugger about the wonderoo, will i ever get rid of mine? grrr

ellen has potty trained
she did two wees and a poo today, taking HER OWN nappy off, and going then putting it back on HERSELF

i wanna cry! she is only 23 months, what the hell is going on

however, i CAN concentrate on newborn stuffs and buy more boys stuff lol!!

swampster · 09/04/2009 22:47

You are, of course, supposed to be delighted and proud, Natty.

soon2befamilyof4 · 09/04/2009 22:51

Lol natty - I think that is the first time I have heard somebody upset that her child had PT! lol. Do you now have nobody in nappies till next one arrives? Although I am guessing Ellen will still need nappies some of the time for now?

drlove8 · 09/04/2009 23:06

there, there Natty! it will be ok..... theres still night nappies! .think i'll have to give up cloth soon too!, dd4 is taking her nappies off herself when shes wee-ed!.... is this a new trend or what?....self training toddlers!

TheNatty · 10/04/2009 00:13

i know! i am supposed to be proud of her, but all i can see are her nappies hanging up on the line, looking all lost and forlorn

soon yeah i have two in night nappies now, and ellen will be in nappies whilst out, but at home she just wont wear them

would it be evil to put her in backwards babygrows all the time at home?

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 09:03

Rachel - I used your UDNN last night and it is fine. I do think I need the snap in booster though so will order one separately when the french soy comes back in. I might order some inserts anyway so I can try them in other nappies.

Rachel - I don't know how you must feel by this stage - I am already getting people keep asking me if I am in labour/had baby etc everytime I log into facebook! still got 12days till my due date!

Doesn't bother me when it is netmummers etc but when it is close friends and family - they should know I would ring them!

4andnotout · 10/04/2009 10:04

Who wanted a royal blue wonderoo? There is one for £5 posted on cnt.

SOON do you fancy selling one of your bbos inserts?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 10/04/2009 12:31

soon: ooh good, glad to hear you didn't have any bad leaks with the nappy!

That's crazy ppl asking if you've had the baby when you're not even due yet! Just hope you don't go late, else you'll really be fed up by that stage!

I had contractions all night long but not so many since I got out of bed! Still getting the odd ones (quite painful) but no pattern. On the positive side (maybe!) I was only barely a 1 yesterday, tho midwife today says she can stretch me to 3cm. Soooo, glad that my awake through the night with pains wasn't totally for nothing! Still very annoying to be having pains all week and still no baby here!

twoclimbingboys · 10/04/2009 12:53

Thanks 4 - hopefully I will get it.

poor you with the pains rachel

TheNatty · 10/04/2009 13:13

i know im not technically supposed to be here...

but im not leaving

two wees and a poo in the potty today so far, my baby is all grown up.
tried to put a nappy on her this morning like i had "forgotton" or something she wouldnt have none of it. apparently she is "not baby mummy, only bedtime nappy"

twoclimbingboys · 10/04/2009 13:45

natty - i'm jealous. DS1 (although potty trained) would love to be a baby forever. Not feeding himself, bottles etc

TheNatty · 10/04/2009 14:01

oh TCB i have one of those.. boys its must be.. lazy to the end

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 14:21

Oh Rachel - your labour sounds sooo much like my first! The only difference is my waters went right at the start - which was actually a bad thing becaus ethey only gave me 24hours to deliver before it meant that I couldn't have my home birth - which I didn't so ended up in hospital and eventually with an induction because of infection (because of my waters having gone early on). I was 2cm from the start to about an hour after I was eventually induced - then things started happening properly. Praying for a quicker birth this time round!

The UDNN did slightly leak, but not a lot. Sort of wet patches on her vest etc. But I think with the booster it will be fine - just got to wait for soy to come back in stock! I can use a hemp one for now which should do the job - but its just more bulky and heavy -unlike the soy. The nappy was soaked so I don't think there is a problem with the nappy itself. I was starting to wonder if it was a dodgy bit of fabric or something!

Is £5 a good price for GUC BBH? This is a local sale rather than online? And do you think BBH are small enough to be used in the daytime? Or too bulky? I like mine, but want UDNN for nights really for DD. But the BBH might be good as a night nappy for the new baby when she starts to need something? Ie maybe at around 6 months or something? As it is BTP. I do have one but haven't had much chance to test it out as I took ages prewashing!

4 - Yes I guess I might as well sell one or some of my BBOS iserts. I do still use them but they are not my favouite and could use the funds for some more of the ones I use first. I really want more EP hemp but if I buy them new then I have all the hassle of prewashing them seperately to the other nappies - keeping them seperate to my ones that are already at full absorbancy (not sure how I would stop them getting mixed up?) I wish I could find some preloved!

How soon do you need them 4? Did you just want one?

Got nappy wash on as we speak. Horrible and rainy outside . So can't hang out in the sun!

TheNatty · 10/04/2009 14:47

hope things pick up soon rachel.

anyone watching the penguin thread?

rusmum · 10/04/2009 14:49

i am dying to know whats going on~!

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 18:58

Yay Rachel - got my labour pom pom shaking. I nearly went mad waiting for dd2 to turn up.

Think we have grown out of xs me sandy's. Just about anyway. Time has flown.

soon2befamilyof4 · 10/04/2009 19:58

Tree - that is interesting about the XS sandys, I had been wondering if it were worth getting some but if you have got 2 months out of them I would say that is pretty good going. I keep changing my mind so I am just keeping my eyes open and if I see any bargains I will get some but not bothered if we don't. Have been given quite a lot of small disposables and have enough onesie pockets as soon as I can get them to fit, which seems to be early on from what others have said.

4andnotout · 10/04/2009 20:05

soon i would be looking for 1 or 2 inserts, i have funds in pp and in the bank so whenever your ready really

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 20:11

3 months on Thursday! I ought to sell you mine - I just don't know if I can! Dh says no more babies - this one cries all the time and he's in a state of shock.

Wail!!

4andnotout · 10/04/2009 20:18

tree dp said the same after we had dd2, she was his first 24/7 experience of a newborn (i was single when i had dd1) but tbh if i'd have had dd2 first i'd never thought of having another! She was nocturnal and screamed for all her waking periods I also had PND so the whole time was a fraught period and she is still very hardwork but it makes her good behaviour and affection more rewarding iykwim, anyway moral of this epic story is that was after dd2 and we are looking forward ttc dc5

treedelivery · 10/04/2009 20:20

Thanks 4 - that's lovely!

Interesting too, as dd2 gummy smiles melt my heart, whereas I was more po faced about dd1! Maybe I feel she is rewarding me for all the hard work getting her wind up.
