Thanks Natty and Soon.

The people at UD sound really helpful - have you resolved the diffrences between the nappies ordered by yourself and rachel?

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 21:59

Oh and I have taken a risk with my BBH tonight. It hasn't really had enough prewashes for night times I don't think but what I did was take all the original inserts out and put my own mixture of hemp and bamboo in. Might not work but it was that or a disposable.

That lady never did buy my WNNN so it will be up for grabs again soon, but I have decided to wait till I have another UD - they are waiting for more french soy so can't do an order yet.

4andnotout · 07/04/2009 22:01

If anyone see's any preloved bbos inserts cheapish can you let me know please

ooh - i'm very excited about you selling the WNNN when your UD arrives!

TheNatty · 07/04/2009 22:05

i got the chocolate and blue dots one, its lovely, however it IS well worn, not suprising it was very cheap, i just wanted to see what the fit was like before i bought any.

i MAY get some in popper, cos the velcro on BTP nappies while a better fit, look so worn and grey ever so quick.
or it that just me?

oh and soon can i have ur WNNN? when u get rid of it that it

TheNatty · 07/04/2009 22:06

TCB - drat you got there first!

twoclimbingboys · 07/04/2009 22:06

Definitely 4.

Similarly if anyone sees any BBSS in large (unisex or boyish) reasonably priced could they let me know please? I may wait until payday and then send a wanted round on the yahoo group.

twoclimbingboys · 07/04/2009 22:08

x-post sorry natty - hopefully I did get there first - I love WNNN!

4andnotout · 07/04/2009 22:12

Large BBSS she says open to offers i can't see them selling at that price so she will have to come down soon.

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 22:17

4 - do you know what the going rate is for the BBOS inserts? I MIGHT sell mine but I am not sure - have no idea what I would get for them and if it isn't much then I might be better off keeping them. Do you have anything to swap? I am looking ofr more inserts - Mainly french soy, or EP hemp or PD bamboo. I am not making any promises regarding the inserts though as we are still using them - but they are mainly for when my other ones run out.

Natty - I haven't found the applix to wear quickly on any of the nappies other than the BG. The BG seem to grey very quickly and most of mine look awful.

I used the tots bots AIO today and put an EP hemp inside instead of the booster it came with and it seems to work very well.

I can't decide how many night nappies I will need for DD when the baby is born. We should hopefully be going through enough nappies to wash every day - 2 at the most and the UD dry a lot quicker than other NN.

4andnotout · 07/04/2009 22:24

The bbos inserts are £4.4o on babykind, i only have trifold hemp inserts, some mf greenacre inserts, wonderfulls mf inserts and some peachy cheeks hourglass bamboo boosters.

twoclimbingboys · 07/04/2009 22:34

Thanks 4. How much could I offer do you all think? What she is aking seems really pricey - I would rather pay the bit extra for new. I really fancy the blue spots on chocolate for Blake.

soon i'm not very organised with my washing and have no dryer so Toby and Blake need 4/5 night nappies each I think.

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 22:34

4 - I think I have about 6ish which are all in EUC. I can have a look for you if you like. I can't do it tonight as DD is in bed but could possibly do it tomorrow depending on how long we are out for - we have quite a hectic day! Are you in a hurry for the inserts? I wasn't planning to sell but as you are looking for them and we could do with the funds it makes sense I guess.

twoclimbingboys · 07/04/2009 22:37

Just realised that I haven't mentioned on here that I was previously mumoftoby - but felt awful to only have 1 of the boy's names in my MN NN!

soon2befamilyof4 · 07/04/2009 22:45

I did wonder! I thought you were somebody who had name changed but couldn't work out who! Didn't want to look rude by asking who you were!! How often do you wash for 4/5 night nappies? We don't use the drier either (we have one but I feel it defeats the object of using washables so don't use it unless really needed).

TheNatty · 07/04/2009 23:07

soon i only have 3, and CAN dry them on airers if i am REALLY organised. i would like another 2 i think, then i wouldnt have to tumble them every other day when i forget to wash them in the morning.

i reckon TCB is right, about 4-5 each seems about right.

ilovemydogandMrObama · 08/04/2009 07:39

the natty did you get the Bum Genius V3 I sent?

OP posts:
soon2befamilyof4 · 08/04/2009 09:25

Natty - how often is that washing? Its just that 4-5 each is going to get expensive so don't want to get more than what I need, but then at the same time, it is probably cheaper to buy an extra one or 2 than to run the tumble dryer.

Although saying that, DD used her BBH for the first time last night (with my own boosters rather than the ones that came with it until I am sure it is up to full absorbancy.) And it didn't leak. It was drenched though and isn't fleece lined so felt a bit sorry for her. It wasn't as comfy as her UD. But it is onesize which is good. But then looking at it, I can't see it fitting a 2 year old? Has anybody else tried one on an older child? Elouise didn't have that much space left and she is still very small for her age - 15 months. She is the size of about an 11month old. And not sure it would last the night without any extra boosting?

Have just put DD in a white BG - it just seems so plain now I have pretty and funky BBOS! I used to think BG were pretty enough with the pink colour etc but they keep getting put to the bottom of the pile! I think they are probably the most slim and reliable pocket I have though.

rusmum · 08/04/2009 10:09

anyone want to but fleece?? One navy one pink!

soon2befamilyof4 · 08/04/2009 10:30

What size rusmum? Fleece wrap?

rusmum · 08/04/2009 11:52

pink is small navy medium got pics- yes fleece pull on style!

TheNatty · 08/04/2009 14:58

ilovemydog yes i got it but couldnt remember who had sent it thank you very much!

soon i have to wash everyday with just 3 and sometimes the hemp ones just arnt dry in time and have to be tumbled.

i reckon if i had 4-5 i could wash every other day and there would be ample time to dry without the tumble dryer.

i missed a parcel today, bloody typical had nothing for 3 days.. then the minute i have a doctors appointment!
the sorting office is miles away from me, and will take a whole morning to get to now tomorrow so i am most annoyed.

treedelivery · 08/04/2009 20:00

Been bonkers in my world - so I dropped in to see if anyone had a baby????

soon2befamilyof4 · 08/04/2009 20:43

Natty that alaways happens to me! If you don't need it tomorrow though, you can arrage a redelivery online. Usually you can choose any day, after tomorrow iyswim. My sorting office isn't too far, but it means getting kids in and out of the car etc and is still a major hassle. Redelivery is great because you can choose when it comes.

No fluffy post for me today.

Had an expensive day today. Had to get my car MOTed which was £60 and then it failed and I needed a new tire which was £160! And new wipers for £15 and then my BIL fixed the other thing for free. I then didn't have enough to get it serviced so that will have to wait . Wasted a whole day sorting it all out which is annoying as my sisters had offered to have DD for the day, which they did but I would have loved the chance to get the house sorted.

Tree - I haven't had a baby. Not sure about Rachel though, she is quite overdue now. I had a MW appointment today and babys head still not engaged.

Somebody is selling a medium UDNN for £13 incl postage etc and I am very tempted but don't know if it will fit! DDs is a large but she did say it just about fits her 27 month old. My daughter is 15 months and is small but is quite big on the belly. It is a good price as it is pretty much brand new and comes with the night booster. What do you guys think? I guess I could sell on if it is too small? Or just use the (fab) inserts for daytime use.

soon2befamilyof4 · 08/04/2009 20:46

Oh and rusmum - fleece wraps no good for me I am afraid - wrong sizes! Never mind!
