ceb80 awww, sorry you didn't get the birth you'd planned! But at least your little boy is here safe & sound! And I'm sure he'll be into your lovely fluff soon enough! My first baby was born on her due date, yet still took 6 weeks before she fit into the cloth I had for her! I'm now (patiently - not! lol) waiting for the arrival of my 3rd baby! Was due Wednesday (according to scan - so now 3 days late) or, not due till Tuesday next week according to my dates.

Welcome back!

swampster · 04/04/2009 22:51

Welcome home ceb

thebluefoxategreensocks · 04/04/2009 22:57

swampster: ooooh, meant to tell you the Sandy's arrived this morning! Thanks soooo much! Now, just where is this baby?! lol

Your bub obviously doesn't want any fluff.

swampster · 04/04/2009 23:25

A couple of teeny Rikkis here.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 23:34

congrats again ceb

Evening all! Not much to say really (for once!) Just wanted to pop in so you all knew I wasn't off having my baby - unfortunately.

Ceos - congratulations! I can't wait till I can announce my DDs birth! What nappies do you have to use?

Rachel - I have the opposite problem with dates. According to my dates I would be due this week, which would make sence as I am massive and measuring big for dates (not big enough for them to do anything though). But the scan dates don't make me due till 22nd!! So really I could end up going into next month Xmas Shock. I have an appointment at the birthing center which will be my 38 week one and I think I will ask again about the whole date thing. I am getting so big and I can't go anywhere alone now - due to dizzyness and sudden pains. I am sooo fed up! Anyway I will stop ranting!

Really can't decide if I should go off hunting for XS sandys or just hope I can use my BTP pockets? I have maybe one day supply of tiny nappies (if that) but quite a lot of BTP nappies. Have worked out I shouldn't need many more pockets for 2 babies as I would 1 as I will be washing much more often and they dry so quickly. So if say I washed every evening, after DD went to bed, they would be dry by the morning (the pockets that is, not the inserts) so I only really need one days supply, which i have already as I can go 3 days without washing and have enough for DD. AND I have loads of MEOS I could use on DD1 if needed. But the sandys XS are soo tiny and lovely! Will just see if any bargains come up I guess!

I think I have too many small/size 1 though, considering we should be able to use the pockets before the size 1 shaped.

So much for not having much to say .

swampster · 05/04/2009 01:24

OMG I just ordered some Sugar Peas in wool and fleece!!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 05/04/2009 01:39

i want to buy more nappies before ds2 stops needing them.......

soon2befamilyof4 · 05/04/2009 08:48

Swapster - they look fab! I couldn't find where to change it into ££? I have been looking for a wool wrap for ages but couldn't find anything in the right size - have bought a few preloved but they are all too small for DD so will save for DD2. How much did yours work out to be? Do you know how long you have to wait? I might wait to see how you get on with yours first - if I can wait that long!

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/04/2009 09:25

US exchange rate is diabolical at the moment: £1.00 - $1.30

Keeping in mind that last year it was around £1.00 - $2.00

swampster · 05/04/2009 12:17

They were diabolically expensive but... no excuses! My mum will bring them back from the States with her so I have a couple of weeks to wait.

twoclimbingboys · 05/04/2009 20:05

congrats ceb! swampster I am so jealous! They look truly fab.

4andnotout · 05/04/2009 20:41

Evening all
Has anyone tried the tots pockets? There is a couple cheap on CNT but i didn't want to buy one if they are crappola
Im down to two children today as my parents have taken the older two away for a few days, it has been a help as dd3 is ill at the moment and is needing a lot of attention
Housesitting now but have brought all my nappies and im putting my mums huge washing machine through it's paces

ilovemydogandMrObama · 05/04/2009 20:48

evening all -- opinions on blueberries?

(other than the fact they are hyper expensive?)

OP posts:
4andnotout · 05/04/2009 20:54

I love my blueberries the inserts are great and i never get leaks, the fabrics are lush too

swampster · 05/04/2009 21:20

I adore my Blueberries, I'm still trying to decide which I prefer, side snapping or one size. Want more!

TheNatty · 05/04/2009 21:22

4 do you mean the BTP tot bots (flexitots are they called?)
if so i have 6, and they are great

swampster · 05/04/2009 21:27

M giraffe lil stinkies on CNT...

4andnotout · 05/04/2009 21:29

No i mean these the pocket tots by totsbots
I love the flexitots and easyfits but im not keen on bamboozles or the cotton tots.

TheNatty · 05/04/2009 21:46

oooh SIZED pockets.. i hate sized nappies, seem like such a waste

ceb80 · 05/04/2009 22:08

Thanks for your congratulations!
soon I have 2 Sandies xs which are ok in the leg and waist but are just too high in the rise (they come uo to his armpits! )and my xs wrap just looks ridiculous! Have been using the Nature Babycare newborn nappies which I am really pleased with although he does get little red marks round his thighs.

soon2befamilyof4 · 05/04/2009 22:23

Regarding blueberrys- if you mean the blueburry onesize (BBOS) I have a few of them. I don't find the inserts that great, even though I loved the idea of it - hemp topped with MF. Doesn't seem to hold enough wee for us. BUT I love the actual pocket and we use a EP hemp inside a PD bamboo insert and it works fine. I find them as good as BG but SOO much cuter. Possible a little bit more bulky for the furry ones but this is just what you get with furry pockets. I have a BBOS delux which is PUL rather than fully and it is almost identical to BG but has kept in much better condition.

You can get BBOS for around £10 if you keep an eye out for bargains. I have just bought one for about £6 ish so there are bargains to be had with them if you go for preloved. Some people are asking too much though IMO. I have seen people asking for £16 or so with no insert, so buy the time you have bought an insert you might as well of bought a brand new one.

soon2befamilyof4 · 05/04/2009 22:28

Really ceb? I was hoping to use sandys XS from birth pretty much but maybe I won't invest in more of them till I have my baby and know what fits. They look pretty tiny though - the ones I do have. I have loads of smalls so maybe XS are not worth the investment? It is so hard to know without baby being here!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 06/04/2009 08:41

soon: Just wondering if you've had any better success with the UDNN yet? Hoping it was a one off occasion!

Still no baby here! Think it's forgot that it's meant to come out!
