Nothing to add, just at tree describing herself as "such a sap" a couple of pages back.

Rachel, hope your baby doesn't keep you waiting much longer. You do look glowing though, and far more smiley than I was after 39weeks.

swampster · 02/04/2009 18:42

I HATE MEOS with a vengeance!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 18:43

I just found them to be nasty, soggy rags which barely contained a wee, real One Size Fits Nones. And ugly with it!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 18:54

lmao swamp.
we used these for about 2 months and i must admit having changed to pockets i am loathe to go back

mumoftoby · 02/04/2009 18:58

rachel thanks for the nappy. It arrived today and looks great.

I've never tried MEOS or greenkids - but must stop buying nappies!

MrsHD · 02/04/2009 20:59

Hi. I bought a stash of 2nd hand MEOS and used them much sooner than I expected as DS was huge - 10lb 4oz born, now 17lbs at 3 months - and grew out of his lovely Diddy Diapers (which are for sale if anyone is interested!). I found the MEOS did the job, quite absorbent but boy are they boring as hell. He's now outgrown the small setting but is too small for the big setting. I've put them away for when he's a bit bigger, and I know from experience that the poppers will be a godsend once he understands about removing nappies!

swampster · 02/04/2009 21:45

Got my bit of jammy fluff today, thanks Dee.

4andnotout · 02/04/2009 21:46

LOL - didn't know I was being watched! LOL Just been busy with things like cooking dinner, doing the washing up, bringing in clothes from the line outside (after dark!), putting children to bed, which is a long routine with Benajmin to cover him in creams/emollients etc and then lie beside him till he falls asleep (usually quick, but he had a nap today so took a bit longer). And he's got nasty un-known rash on his back (which I think is different to the eczema) and he's had it nearly 3 weeks now, and none of the GPs seem to really know what it is....and it seems to just get worse and makes him itch badly!

So yeah, I'm here ... no baby ... just busy!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 02/04/2009 23:50

anyone here good at identifying rashes?

soon2befamilyof4 · 03/04/2009 00:02

Hi ya! Nice to know I am missed!!

Just had a really busy day today and FIL came over early evening and then had a take away when he went.

Don;t slag off MEOS! Even though we now use mostly pockets, I still think MEOS are the best 2 part system. But you are more likely to get a BG to fit a newborn than a MEOS I would think.

Natty - why don't you see what me and rachel find works and it might help you decide? I have most brands of onesize pockets to be honest.

In fact - does anybody have a list of all the onsize pockets to see if I have one of each ? I don't own a minkitimes yet because I have never seen one preloved. I might be tempted by a new one when funds are more available though.

Natty - did I tell you that the wrap is actually a tiny bit bobbly on the outside? Not very, but thought I must warn you before you decide. And by the way, I wasn't meaning you when I was moaning about people not paying! I mean people who have emailed me with a whole list of what they want (or one or 2 of the more expensive ones) and then not bothered to get back to me. DD has gone to bed in the WNNN again tonight. I think if the lady doesn't reply by tomorrow I will forget about her. I am actually tempted to keep it till I at least have Rachels UD and have tried the BBH once or twice.

I am definatly going to invest in a 3rd UDNN. I will see how I get on without the booster in Rachels one and then save some funds for another. I think 3 would be fine once I have 2 in nappies as we would probably wash every day and they don't actually take that long to dry. And they can go outside in summer and above a heater in winter as they don't go crispy like other nappies.

Have got to post lots of nappies tomorrow as I have received a few payments today.

soon2befamilyof4 · 03/04/2009 00:09

Oh and thanks for the link. It actually looks like it might be a help to me. I am too tired to work it all out right now but will have a better look tomorrow. Thank you

TheNatty · 03/04/2009 10:49

soon thats an idea i think i will wait till u have tried and tested for me!

the wrap is fine, cant remember how much u wanted, but its only for nighttimes, its the only time i use a two part system.

the WNNN worked for us last night, BUT it wasnt nearly as dry as her bumhugger is usually, so it will do us fine for now long as her bladder doesnt get too much bigger

swampster · 03/04/2009 11:01

Ooooooooh, get you, Natty, starting a whole new thread about BGs! Did you not believe me then?

TheNatty · 03/04/2009 12:03

lol swampster!!
just wanted to get a few people experiances. i dont want to be sitting here with nappies that dont fit and waiting 2 weeks for ones that do to come in the post!

i am really annoyed at how long my bumhuggers and XL wraps are taking, ive run out of night time disposables so im squeezing thomas into ellens reusables, he wore her large ellas house last night lol.

i dont want to buy a whole new packet of nappies and then for them to turn up on like monday or tuesday.

its very irritating

soon2befamilyof4 · 03/04/2009 12:30

Rachel - I have just got your UDNNN - thank you..

And the maternity nighties have just arrived too - thanks a lot.

So I am happy this morning!

Do you know what - we are now completely leak free at night. And bulky bum free too. I hope it lasts! I am going to wash all the matress cover etc when I have a nice day here (I did it not long ago but have had a leak or 2 since).

And I have found that with putting an easy peasy hemp insert, inside a pettis bamboo insert during the day, works perfectly. Not bulky and I change after a few hours and still have absorbency left!

TheNatty · 03/04/2009 12:52

yeah soon i am using a easy peasy hemp and a bamboo booster inside a microfibre glove insert.
this one

very slim, quick absorbancy and lasts for FIVE hours if needed...

soon2befamilyof4 · 03/04/2009 12:59

Really? I find MF squishes out the we if left for a while? Haven't tried the glove ones though. The link you send me went to EP homepage.

TheNatty · 03/04/2009 13:08

oh dunno why it did that. the glove ones are single layer very thin microfibre, they dont actually absorb anything a keep it, it acts as a stay dry layer (which is good as the totbots are not fleece lined) and helps the hemp absorb better.
its also neater and easier cos i keep them made up in the drawer and tis easy to put them in the pockets then.

4andnotout · 03/04/2009 13:38

Im loving the new smilies

No fluffy post today but i did buy a dirt cheap itti yesterday which sould arrive soon and im waiting to pay someone for 2 bbh's Now need to sell some of mine to make a little space!
