Mighty fine bump, rachelin. I am thinking I will pop the rest of your fluff in the post today and you can PP me when you can be bothered... no rush, you have more important things to be getting on with.

thebluefoxategreensocks · 02/04/2009 12:04

swampster: aww thanks, that's really kind of you! How much shall I Paypal you? I'll have your email address in my inbox to send it to. So just remind me of the amount and money will be sent your way! Not doing anything very important today - just cleaning house! Got a load of nappies on to wash and now I'm dusting & hoovering. Seems the warm weather and sunshine gives one energy to clean house! We have lovely weather here - would be nice to have a baby when it's not freezing cold! Seems my other two were both born when it was sooooo cold!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 12:15

aw rachel i am very of your weather and you bump, i wish i was at the end, im only 26 weeks and ive had enough already!

i will be using ur nappy tonight, just want to check ur washing powder as i may have to wash it due to ellens super sensitive skin.
i assume no fabric softner of course, which brand bio or nonbio did u use? xx

soon are you about?
ive got the money for the wrap in pp if u would like it?

thebluefoxategreensocks · 02/04/2009 12:39

TheNatty: I know what you mean about washing powders - Benjamin has awful skin! I use Surcare non-bio (the one with no scents/purfumes etc) and give them extra rinses before & after.

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 12:42

ah brilliant no need to re wash then.
i can use tesco, sainsburys or persil non bio, but NOT arial, fairy or asda.
no chance with bio, which is a shame cos non bios fade the colours in nappies apparently.
never tried surecare as its so expensive, but i might keep a look out for an offer to try it, because the non bios smell perfumed even tho they are not and i wonder whats in them

ilovemydogandMrObama · 02/04/2009 13:09

Simply Pure is quite good too, although one has to remember that the tablet goes into the washing machine drum and not the container on top

DS went through a phase where he was allergic to even Surcare so used Bio D

Any twinges rachel ???

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 13:13

oooh yes its all very exciting!
we want pics of new baby in nappies asap lol

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 15:02

Come on babies. Its so cool we have TheNatty to carry on the baton following Soon and Rachel.

Sea fret has wet all my nappies and 4 loads of laundery that was nearly dry . Fecking coastal conditions!

Harriet wore a new-to-us blueberry brown with pink spots today. Lovely fit, realy surprised actually. She poo'd al over it 20 mins later obviously.......

Soon crappy to hear of selling woo's. Send a stern email, or a not so stern if they seem genuine but daft due to babydom [like me]. It's totally fair to chase payment.

Y'now, H has nappy rash. I bought mega cheap non-bi, you have me thinking that might be it. E45 nappy rash cream is mega good, although mostly use a petroleum free barrier.

Found very usefull purchase in Wilkos - 2 fleece changing mats, with PUL backing. But fleece on both sides. Very like a wrap fabric. About £2.50. Buy Buy Buy! Brilliant. Tempted to get wrap making!!!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 15:34

tree u have me travelling the 5 miles to my nearest branch now.. have added that to my shopping list for tomorrow

i dont know what i am doing now for my baby in first month, DH is refusing to use a two part system as he hates them, i dont want to buy AIO as they take to long to dry (and expensive)
so i think im left with the sized pocket option.
of which i can only find happy heniys that do a XS 5-8lb nappy. but at 9 quid each id have to get 15 of them, and i can justify spending 100+ quid on the first months nappies, when dh wants to just use disposables which is unlikely to cost more then 30.

yeswellreally · 02/04/2009 15:37

Make up the 2 parters in advance so he can't complain? Gat a tonne of bambino Mio's cheap ans have lined up ready to go, liners and all.

Or he stumps up the cash!

Dispos no fun!

thebluefoxategreensocks · 02/04/2009 15:37

No, no twinges yet! :S Seems a perfect, beautiful, sunny day to have a baby though! OH well, guess baby will come when it's ready - can't wait to have fun with tiny baby nappies! Then again, as many nappies as Benjamin goes through in a day...hate to think how many I'll have to wash with his and a newborn's! LOL

yeswellreally · 02/04/2009 15:37

It's me me me - am seeing if I can name change! I can!!

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 15:39

That was quite exciting!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 16:06

lol! tree was that you?

no go on making them up in advance. he wont use anything that has to have a separte wrap. he says he can never get them to fit right over the nappies and he hates them.

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 16:11

T'was!

Join me here www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/732546-to-be-hopping-mad-at-husband?rnd=1238684549067

Was going to name change but it felt daft cos who cares really?

Dunno what to suggest for your dh. Maybe you use washables, but have dispo for his changes? He wont mind taking them off will he?

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 16:47

i have joined you lol!

no he wont take off two parters cos he doesnt like how wet they feel (hence we are using things like BG cos he cant feel the wetness iuswim)

im really annoyed with him, cos it basically means IM doing all the bum changes for the first month if the BGs dont fit well enough to use from the start.

he is such a pain in the arse!

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 16:50

Bah to the boys!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 16:56

lol tree buy yourself so porn!

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 17:09

Would rather nappy fluff

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 17:29

in THAT case tree.. you should def get a custom made, hand embroidered £20 odd pound nappy!

swampster · 02/04/2009 18:26

TheNatty, I used mainly BG one-sizes to start with on DS3. He was just under 7lb and they have been brilliant.

BBOS fit soon after but are a bit enormous - but still smaller than many two-parters, and so strokeable.

Greenkids Minkytimes and Anytimes are lovely too - got them when he was already close to 9lb but think they would have worked well (if very big-bummed) from earlier.

My Tots Bots Easyfits have been fantastic from just under 9lb and are always the first nappy DH reaches for.

But for sheer cuteness, it's got to be sized - how I love my chocolate Itti Bitti and cheetah BBSS!

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 18:31

ive got BG and totbots easyfits so am hoping one of them will fit. ive got meos left over from when ellen was younger, but ive never put cloth on a newborn b4. do u think the meos with xs wraps would be a good just incase?

treedelivery · 02/04/2009 18:33

I wanna greenkids minky. snot fair. [tantrum smiley]

TheNatty · 02/04/2009 18:34

lol tree buy one serves ur dh right!
