???? may well do!!

Essie3 · 21/10/2008 13:28

Magic wand, baby! I heard that just putting them at a window on a sunny day would work.

I use reusables to save money more than anything. I've not broken even yet. But I intend to pass mine around - sister, sil, other children etc.

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 15:01

i was wondering if it would work or not they go to bout ten pound so not expensive

just been to hobby craft and got some orange dye so am going to dye some squares and a bamboozle never done it b4

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 15:20

bbm how much would u pay for those stained bamboozles

FullMoonHowler · 21/10/2008 15:26

baby - realised this morning that one of the nappies I washe yesterday was stained. After 10min in the sun (but did the same the other day when it wasn't really sunny), the staines were gone completly

Oh, I use reusables to save baby's bottom, save money (though if I carry on like this... ), brought up recycling (back home we have 1 bin for plastic & paper, one for alluminium & glass, one for compostables - though it's not used as my parents have cats, dogs, chickens etc - and bag for "dry", normal waste that cannot be recycled) and thinking of environment (big campaign by our council when I was at primary school, all those years ago), and... don't they look so cute! Just wish I'd discovered them with 1st child when he was born, as supposed to just before he potty trained.

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 15:27

thanks moon howler these ones seem badly stained tho i would put napisan in the wash to get them clean anyway i am just wondering how much they r worth

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 21/10/2008 15:31

babyjj- nothing because I don't like 'em ....but if I did probably no more than £2 each for the stained ones and no more than £3.50 for any that weren't stained. I ffp'd my tots wraps in the end. The postage seems rather high for 10 size 1 nappies

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 15:48

ye thast wat i tougt bout postage i really like them don't like cotton tots but do like bamboozles

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 15:50

tey have said £25 posted i wonder if stains will come out is that a reasonable price or not i can't really afford them

returnofrusmummy · 21/10/2008 16:22

you getting them baby????

cant get to grips with terry folds. ok with prefold now-wraps were the problem.

yes jo fold seems v small when folded....

wanting patterned pretty airflow or rikki sm or m!!!

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 16:27

dunno can't really afford them and would need the stains to come out so i could sell a few of them i wonder if any1 else will bid on them cos they are badly stained imo

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 16:29

i could do with selling some stuff to get money but dunno what i could sell

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 21/10/2008 16:32

rusmum - I have 3 savannah airflows in Sm and some white bamboozles left

babyjj - sounds a fair price - I reckon postage is more like £4.20 (not inc packing) so that is £2 per nappy...but if you can't afford it....

rainbow bots are thinner than originals btw - I liked them for DD2

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 16:34

i would like them tho what do u think the chances are of the stains coming out i would want to sell bout 5 of them or swap them for medium wraps and wouldn't swap them in that condition i don't think any1 would by them

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 21/10/2008 16:38

well they have 2 bidders already so there is interest. I reckon you could at least make the stains better. Do you have any vanish or other whitening stuff to hand that you could use in case the sun doesn't shine for weeks?

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 21/10/2008 16:39

also, it looks as though some aren't stained.....is it just the bamboozles that are stained?

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 16:47

i am one of the bidders i have got napisan yes i know it is bad but i don't use it very often vanish soap fairy soap prewash spray if it i sstained is there any germs left on it my says it is disgusting buying stained nappies lol cos i would need to sell some on i would need the stains out completly wouldn't i i can only afford £15 really

FullMoonHowler · 21/10/2008 16:54

baby - I paid 3.50 each posted for 2 used bamboozled size 1, and when they arrived they were immaculate and didn't look anymore used than the new one I had, if it helps with pricing... have you checked the nappy site?

Oh, had to use terry today as all the rest were dirty or drying, I was impressed with myself in managing to get the jo fold right, but all the poo came out from the back... obviously not tight enough at the back, any tips?

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 21/10/2008 16:59

howler you can try rolling the back in on itself IYSWIM. BabyJJ is being fussy and wanting a blue bamboozle hence paying a premium

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 17:11

hehe lol i could do with bout 5 bamboozles so would be worth gettign but can't really afford them my ma won't lend me the money cos they r stained any1 got any medium airflows or rikis for sale need to be well used so they r cheap

FullMoonHowler · 21/10/2008 17:48

BBM thanks, will try next time, all my bamboo sandy's are dry now - forgot to tell you I managed to "revive" the bamboo squares with another wash and tumble til nearly dry, but let's see how they come oout next time without tumbling...

baby - keep an eye on that site or usednappies site, they've always got good bargains...

babyjjbaby · 21/10/2008 17:52

thanks will do everything seems to be expensive with nappies tho don't u find lik a tots bots for £6.50 isn't much cheaper than new or maybe it is just me

FullMoonHowler · 21/10/2008 18:04

baby - I think it's because tot bots are the most popular, at least that's what I found when first looked into reusables, got my trial pack for DS, but couldn't really justify the cost as he was 15/18mo, so went to prefolds. the bamboozles I have are very soft, good absorbence and slim, but sandy's are far better ime, would go through at least 2 bamboozles for 1 bamboo sandy's. (and saw people buying for over their "new" price on ebay...)

4andnotout · 21/10/2008 18:15

babyjjbaby i have 2 cream one life wraps identical to motherease airlows you can have £3.50 each posted?
