It's a beautiful day here today so i have my nappies pegged onto my airer and outside in the garden, this way if it rains i can get them in quicker!
I hate using my tumble dryer too so i try to use the washing line as much as possible even if i have to finish off on the airer or for 30 mins in the tumbledryer its still saving a bit.
Have you got radiators you could put airers on?
I would be drying on radiators usually but simply cant afford the oil this year so we have resorted to little electric radiators.

Ceolas · 10/10/2008 14:39

Yes we do have radiators. Good thinking! We have the heating on for a while morning and night - have done for a few weeks now

Hi, newbie to cloth nappies (and this thread) here.

I have a bunch of prefolds but need a few nappy nippas. Where can I buy them? Are there any chains that sell them or do I have to order them online? Thanks!

Any tips on folding would also be appreciated. Are there any websites that have instructional videos?

Thanks for all your posts about the acne, I'm very relieved that it isn't something I've done, well I did but I don't think I can be blamed for my hormones, and if it's any consolation to her they've been giving me jip for weeks too!

Today is day 3 in cloth and so far I've been very impressed. I put a Kiwi original (I think) on earlier and had it on for five hours and parts of it were still dry and she had a perfectly dry little bum as well, very impressed with that seeing as the nappy doesn't really look all that good. My pink Tots Bots was good as well but was rather bulky. My favourite has been the Sandy's, although I reckon the Kiwi was just as good but not as nice to look at.

Ahh lovely, I can hear that she's testing another Kiwi against breastfed poo now, can't wait!

ilovemydog · 10/10/2008 22:24

nappy nippas - saw some in Mothercare

isaidno · 12/10/2008 20:08

ceolas - been using the wool wrap and I'm very impressed by how dry it is in the morning. Wasn't really sure about the concept! Trouble is I've got desires for those knitted shorts / longhies now! Will have to wait for dd to grow out of this wrap!

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 20:21

Oh glad you like it! Yes it baffled me as to how it worked. Have you got some lansinoh for lanolising?

rusmum · 12/10/2008 20:59

how do i go about it so i can sell on here.?? Got lots of cb wraps and some tot bots/kooshies.

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:03

You have to pay a £5 fee to sell on the for sale boards. Think you go through "My Mumsnet" and set up for CAT. You'll need a credit/debit card to register.

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:05

Here rusmum

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 12/10/2008 21:05

yep - you need to read this there is a link to sign up to cat on that page.

rusmum · 12/10/2008 21:06

thanks.

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 12/10/2008 21:07

rusmum · 12/10/2008 21:07

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:07

Hallowe'en names rusmum. There'll be Christmas names too!

LackaDAISYcal · 12/10/2008 21:08

just a quick hello from me. Packed my hospital bag and have the crib set up so baby can arrive now

ceolas, how are you finding the babybeehind?

LackaDAISYcal · 12/10/2008 21:09

I can't think of a halloween name

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 12/10/2008 21:09

yeah! It's supposed to be a scary Halloween name! Please don't tell me it's crappy - it took me 3 days to come up with it

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:10

Oh it's really good, Lacks. Takes an age to dry though! Is it a bamboo one? Doesn't feel like bamboo.

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:11

LackaScaryCal?

No I like yours BBM. Don't usually go in for it myself - too much effort!

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 12/10/2008 21:13

lacks that's what made DS 10 days late I'm sure - I never packed a bag with DD1 or DD2 and they arived in a timely fashion

BigBadMouseInHauntedHouse · 12/10/2008 21:15

ceolas first time I have bothered. I suddenly woke up at 3.30am and said 'Aha - BBMinhauntedhouse!that'll do -then promptly went back to sleep

LackaDAISYcal · 12/10/2008 21:23

It is bamboo, but bamboo fleece. I just love the colour if it.

I'm liking LackaSCARYcal, thanks

Ceolas · 12/10/2008 21:34

Yes the colour is fab. I have a Baby Beehinds wrap in the same colour but it's medium and just a smidge too small.

I am coveting a full complement of Pop-ins though!
