Last Saturday, I managed to blag secure one of the last places for a nursing degree at a local uni starting this year... 3 weeks time in fact (gulp).

So I'm desperately filling in forms that have just been sent to me. I've been too healthy for my Dr's surgery and they've insisted on me seeing a dr before they'll fill in Occ Health questionaire for which I'll have to wait a week (deep joy).

I've been asked to write a PS. Now it's 10 years since I last did one. Does anyone have any pointers etc please as my head is spinning from DS/paperwork mountain.

Actually, any advice at all would be very helpful right now.

Thanks

notalone, the only shop that seems to mkae Jeans that suit and fit me is Dorothy Perkins...but probably will have a look around anywya...we have now a fair few new Shops in Corby and you never know they might have somehting that would suit me...
hehe, both pairs were teh same, btw ...I was not happy having to buy size 14 Jeans when I bought them, and didn't want to spend much (as I didn't think it would be permanent) and they cost £15 a piece, so, hopefully they have Jeans like that, and hopefully this time I can buy a size 12

They said it can take about 2 hours...but depends on how busy it is at the time you arrive...

I like the way Dotty P jeans fit too but I was put off when a pair ripped after a couple of months. Then again my last Primark pair did that too so I probably will venture back there sooner or later. Well you now have a good excuse to go shopping - perhaps you could go tomorrow and have a nice lunch and coffee too. Just tell yourself it will be your last relatively stress free day for a while and that you deserve it lol Fingers crossed with the size 12 too. I insist you report back and let me know what you got if you go!!

lol...thing is....waist wise the 14 are big, but legwise, they are still snug ...stupid body, lol...
I might do that me-time-bit for a few hours.......

Fairlady... I enrolled at my uni last sunday and I was there about an hour although we were told to to report at varying times depending on what course we were doing. I guess my uni is quite small though.

Im a DP Jeans girl too and was quite chuffed to pick up two pairs for £12 in a sale they had on a couple of months ago.

no sale now I suppose...

small Uni might well be a good thing, as more personal

should we get a first year student thread going, for exchange of experiences?

I'm not sure about the sales... might be a few on what with the current economic climate and all. NUS card will give you 10% off in most high street shops so maybe worth it for the £10 investment.

And you're right about the new thread being needed. I've started one here
