Ok, the thread's too long for me to something similar has been covered, but you seem quite impressed with it, so.......

DS2+3, 10 and 8, can sometimes be a pita at bedtime. (Sometimes aided and abetted by DS1).

They're loud and boisterous lads, and tbh most of the time they're only sitting talking, but they're soooo loud.

The problem is DH sometimes has vvv early starts and often goes to bed before them, and then is kept awake by their nattering.

What should we be saying to them to get them to show some consideration, be quieter, and ultimately go to blardy sleep?

Oh god sorry, was trying to work out which key fitted in the Top Secret drawer.

I'd like to extend to you the heartiest thanks of all who work in HTT for your services. Your great work for this institution has been noted and

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 23:15

Dear Ms Cod, I regret to inform you that in your absence, your underling Ms 100 times has behaved in an exceedingly unsatisfactory manner

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2007 23:18

I think I might call a meeting. Isn't that what people do? I'm going to set out an agenda for the next

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 23:21

I am far too busy typing to attend a meeting

how do you spell "affronted"?

and "incompetence"?

How long does it take to get a telegram to

erm

Arapouerto?

(wonders if that is anything like correct spelling or purely a cod-ism)

ahundredtimes · 28/05/2007 23:32

I think that's airport isn't it?

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 23:34

FrannyandZooey · 28/05/2007 23:40

I'm telling EVERYTHING

ahundredtimes · 29/05/2007 10:53

Just so you know unknown, and anyone else, we ARE open for business.

Am flicking elastic bands against the wall. Quiet day in the office. Hoping Boco will turn up so we can go through the filing cabinet. Newbie revolution.

Boco · 29/05/2007 13:03

Let's do it 100!

Umm, you go first, i'll wait at the door and listen out for Franny - on this parquet you can hear her coming for miles!

ahundredtimes · 29/05/2007 19:55

Boco - would you like a job? You can come work at HTT if you like. But to be honest if very quiet at the moment, as we only have one client and I think she said she was off this week. Perhaps we could tout for trade?

Boco · 29/05/2007 20:25

What would I have to do?

What is HTT?

What kind of trade would we be touting for?

Would Franny shout at us Alot?

Would you like to see my CV?, i have a very broad range of experience, from fedexing porn to Brazil to modelling little dungeons and dragons warrior ladies with snakes round their necks.

FrannyandZooey · 29/05/2007 20:25

I don't SHOUT

I would just tell you that Franny is Very Disappointed with you

Boco · 29/05/2007 20:30

Well, whatever the job involves franny, i would make a Very Good Job of it.

And you would be forced to give an [approving smile] and [Impressed nod] at the very least.

ahundredtimes · 29/05/2007 20:30

lol. I think your work experience to date is perfect for HTT. What is it? What are we?

Mission statement:

To revolutionise the way parents talk to their children and the way children listen to them talk AND (you see is complex business) the way children talk and parents listen.

It's a book. Dogsby was in charge, but she's off, so I am now.

Boco · 29/05/2007 20:37

Ok. So, are we 'pinko liberal arm wringing busybodies etc' as described in that thread about saying naughty?

When we talk to our kids and make them listen, do we still call them names, or is that not in the mission statement.

I have to be clear in case of ambush. It's a jungle out there - alright for you in the office, but i'm not touting for business if i'm likely to get a chinese burn.

ahundredtimes · 29/05/2007 20:55

No we don't call them names. We say 'aha' 'ahem' when they tell us something, and we, well, oh yes we say 'You got the smarts' when they done good.
Is a bit complicated to explain actually.
Perhaps you could just sit in the office with me sometimes, in case someone turns up, and we could see who can ping the elastic band the furthest?
