Oh no at your poo fail NH, that sounds like something I'd do! Smile And the flapping at the bee although I do love them.

I can get 4 hrs out of the Charlie Banana's if I use both inserts. Handy if going on a long car journey or for the childminder. Good if you get them at offer price. They have a bra strap style leg adjustment so you can get a good fit there. They are BTP pockets.

I quite like the Mio Solo. DD has a long body and slightly chubby thighs so they suit her. FYP have good reviews on night time use with a Mio Boost. Have to say I'm a bit sceptical but I'm going to give it a try.

My favourite pocket at the moment is Little Lamb. They're sized. I ran out of wraps so I had up resort to using that last night. It was amazing. I put a LL bamboo booster either side if the insert and it lasted all night and DD had a very dry bottom in the morning. Best of all her nasty rash has almost gone!

Just a shame that the sites with a good discount have sold out of size 2 but if anyone's interested Fluff Heaven have them for £7 each in size 1.

binkybonk · 17/04/2013 19:08

Ooh pleased Charlie Bananas are over with you all!! wave
The company is based in Hong Kong and so they were the first cloth we tried. They do have sized nappies as well as one size so we have a set of large as easyfits are getting a bit snug on DS1. I'm just not a popper fan patience of a gnat or otherwise we'd be Charlie Banana all the way... DS1 would choose them everytime 'soff wuns mummy'
They had them half price in mothercare over here but still so expensive... Only nappies I've bought new and was a shock!
Their wet bags and 'diaper pail' are great too.
It's 2.07am and all boys asleep- but I had a cup of tea at 11 and can't sleep. Confused

NappyHappy · 17/04/2013 20:51

Thats cool that the longies are doing their thing Grin you could sell them on if you get time.

Hopefully the stuff Ive got on Ebay and will put up in the next few days will sell so I can pay off more stuff. Has anyone downgraded their mobile contract?

DS3 is now rolling over more and sitting up alot better, he has discovered eating his toes too Grin

I cut DS2's hair Hmm bye bye curls.

Thanks for letting me know about the Mio's, the boys have skinny legs so they'll not do. I got some PL Bumgenius a few months ago and they gape lots so they'll be getting sold!

PS Buffy, a Moth with fire in its eyes got in my breathing space when I was on the toilet last Summer, it was huge and I screamed. Lots. I caught ds2's poo yesterday just in time before he trod it everywhere. Wink

LexiLoganberryBump · 17/04/2013 21:27

I've took the plunge and brought my nappy system.

With it being RNW I thought I'd pop on the nappy ladies website and buy 1 bumgenius freetime to have a proper look at. They had 20% off so DH said stuff it buy a set, so I've brought 20 freetimes, I'm ridiculously excited.

I'm slightly worried that I should of brought several types before committing to 1 system but I just found myself always coming back to the freetime.

rrreow · 17/04/2013 22:58

Ooh LexiLoganberryBump that is very exciting! I get ridiculously excited waiting for fluffy post.

As a tip I'd say don't pre-wash & use all of them in one go. Maybe start with 5 or so, so if they end up really not working for you you've still got the other ones brand new in their packaging and can either return them or sell them on at new price. How old is your DC (or is it still a bump?)? Is this your first foray into cloth?

LexiLoganberryBump · 17/04/2013 23:09

rrreow that's a good tip regarding not washing them all. I did check that I could send some back, brought some unisex colours and some more girlish colours like purple and patterned, but we're not certain that we're having a girl, so might need to exchange for that reason also.

DC2 is still a bump as you probably gathered from above, still 4 months to go. I've used cloth before with DD1 8 years ago, I have to say the nappy world has moved on a lot it seems since then or I just didn't come across much variety. I used terry squares and then the mio prefolds which to be honest worked really well for us, DD wasn't a heavy wetter or anything but have seen that they're not now considered that good, if they ever were considered good.

spiderbabymum · 18/04/2013 03:47

Lexi
My experience is that I LIKE just having one main type of nappy .....just becomes automatic and easier for my partner too ;-)

Nappy happy re wraps .......the nappy lady has some in the clearance section for 3 quid a pop . Called Onesize . Seems they are vv similar to motherease Onesize wraps ....seems like an absolute bargain .....? They are large I think size three .....

spiderbabymum · 18/04/2013 03:49

Nappy Happy see above

spiderbabymum · 18/04/2013 09:05

So sorry nappy happy those nappy lady ones are gone

But I spied thes wraps today's...reducedv...some pretty ones .

rrreow · 18/04/2013 13:08

I tried one of my Alva nappies on DS yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the snug fit around the legs! The extra row of poppers really helps with that, definitely looked snugger than the MioSolos (velcro) or Smartipants (only one row of poppers). Can't say about absorbancy as he was only in it for about an hour.

Ooh fab P and R I'll look at the links later.

Ive bid on 6 ME wraps for £6 so we'll see.

Why did we choose a beige sofa! Its covered in gingerbread!!

Fluffy post is awsome, hi Lexi! More new babies! You're keeping it going Grin

Ive seen 3 bfp's today on the CBM. FB page what is going on?!

I overheard a gaggle of old dears commenting that I must have my hands full with things 2 & 3 when I was on the bus earlier. I pretended I didn't hear them Wink then got stuck in the door at the Trafford Centre Confused

rrreow · 18/04/2013 17:43

ME being Motherease wraps? I love them so much. If I lived in a perfect world I'd have Motherease wraps with Blueberry Coverall patterns. My life would be COMPLETE! Grin My Blueberries arrived today actually, very exciting!

NappyHappy · 18/04/2013 19:59

Yeah, all large so am hoping I get them. I'm selling my medium ones to fund them! Need to look for PL Blueberry ones though.

The blardy zip has gone on my WeeHuggers wet bag and on the one from Tiny Nippers Sad Argghh!!!

LexiLoganberryBump · 18/04/2013 20:24

nappyhappy I've told my DH he'll have to keep an eye on me to stop me looking at new nappies that come onto the market, even though I only ordered my system yesterday I found myself looking at charlie banans today, I hadn't come across them before probably because I liked the AIO and was staying clear of the pocket nappies but found myself thinking how good they looked because of the way you can adjjust the size. Sometimes I think I'm rather obsessed, can see DH's eyes glaze over when I start talking nappies and always get the same response get the ones you like, get the colours you like.

Like spider I really wanted to stick to one type rather than having all sorts but it does mean I unfortunatly don't get to but loads of lovely nappies. I did intend originally to buy at least 3 different style nappies to see what I got on best with but never mind.

Nappies arriving tomorrowSmile

Ordered my cheeky wipes today as well.

NappyHappy · 18/04/2013 21:23

Lexi, that sounds like my DH! I can't believe how addictive it all is Wink

I need to check the fb competition s for the day too.

NappyHappy · 18/04/2013 21:25

But you have to buy different types Wink Wink so you can see what works best for a specific reason. Wink

rrreow · 19/04/2013 12:36

I am still struggling for a storage solution. How does everyone else store their fluff? Currently the nappies DS uses barely fit into two drawers in the changing table (they only fit in there because of part of them being in use / in the wash - if they were all clean they wouldn't fit). That plus the nappies I've got waiting for DS2 basically fill ALL the drawers in the changing table.. so no space for DS2s clothes when he arrives!

Someone suggested one of those canvas shoe hanging things but I wouldn't know where to hang it.

NappyHappy · 19/04/2013 14:46

I use those plastic drawers that you can get in Pound stretcher or Wilkinsons. Grey or black plastic frame with clear plastic drawers. £15 ish.

rrreow · 19/04/2013 14:50

Ooh great tip, thanks! That might be the perfect solution. Although I'll need to convince DH as he doesn't like stuff that is functional but doesn't look pretty.

NappyHappy · 19/04/2013 15:44

Maybe you could stick funky stickers or decoupage them??

PurplePidjin · 19/04/2013 18:39

I have shoe hanger things in the built in wardrobe then keep stuffed day nappies on the chest of drawers ready to grab. Changes are on a mat on the floor in case he rolls :)
