I do find the airflows come up a bit bigger than the rikkis. We didn't have airflows in size small, but now in medium there is some gaping at the legs with the airflows, whereas I can get a nice snug fit with the rikkis. However, I still use them and as long as the nappy is tucked safely inside there are no leaks.

Fleece sleep suits are great. Grin just not the morning whiff.

Funnily enough were being subjected too Watching In the Night Garden!

PurplePidjin · 29/08/2013 19:36

That moment when you empty the nappy bin into the machine and your hands discover a poo dp forgot to flush Envy

randomly tried on a chinese cheapy (VHCaterpillar) and they all of a sudden fit after me saying that a few days ago they didn't woop!

have decided not at all impressed with TB bamboozle, the lollipops mf I have can hold more and obv dry a lot faster, even in this nice weather it just took the bamboozle 3 days to dry!!

rrreow · 29/08/2013 23:07

I just weighed DS2... Shock he weighs 7.5kg!!!! That's 95th centile. I've bred a giant!

My bamboozles take about 48 hrs to dry inside, or 12-24 if outside (depends on how sunny it is). Are yours full absorbency yet? I find the size 2s are quite good for my toddler (boy) with the insert folded up at the front. For the baby I use them unfolded but still boosted.

Is it the spotty VHC nappy? I have that one, it's my faaaaaav, so cute.

PurplePidjin · 30/08/2013 07:13

My bamboozles take about 8 hours to dry! How strange!

When I had bamboozles they took 48h indoors and up to 24 outside. Put a fan near your maiden. I love VHC Smile

Hey ladies hope you don't mind me gate crashing!

I've been using cloth now for 3/4 months since my girl was 9 Weeks, have tried loads of different brands/kinds but boy its soo addictive! I've gotten loads free and managed to find some bargains on others but its hard to resist the funky ones sometimes.

i've been on MN for years now but never really ventured to these parts yet now I need someone to share my addiction with :o

PurplePidjin · 30/08/2013 19:32

Morning Peanut, ridiculously addictive isnt it?!

Do I start my washing now?

FoofFighter · 01/09/2013 11:37

Went to a secondhand baby market yday and managed to get 14 TB flexitots size 1 for £7 :)

NappyHappy · 01/09/2013 16:34

Now that is the most bargainous bargain ever!!!! That is fantastic! ShockShock

FoofFighter · 01/09/2013 18:48

Shame they appear to be discontinued as I really like them actually, they are nice and trim between the legs, and seem to contain poop well - am using with ME wraps though as there were a couple in the bag but I don't like them, they feel more like the old rubber pants on the inside and it makes my teeth itch!
I can't however see them last as long as say a Lollipop/LLamb size one though, but for £7...!

Also managed to pick up a 100% lambswool red jumper from Gap at the market, with the aim of making longies out of it Grin Now I need to learn to sew... can i do it by hand do you think or would I be better getting someone with a machine to do it for me?

NappyHappy · 01/09/2013 20:33

Ewww, Mum had me in those rubber pants. Sweaty.

Pidj is the one for longies, she's made a few, seen by hand.

PurplePidjin · 01/09/2013 21:09

I don't know if whip stitch would hold it tight enough not to fray? R's are es Gap too, don't forget a cute applique for the bum so you know which way round they go - he's had a rocket and a race car so far :o

Oh, and you need 100% polyester thread :)

I need to wash the boys woolies. Poo and puke. Will I need to Lanolise after they've been washed? How do I do it?

My Ebay coconut oil arrived this morning so have made up some wipe solution with it and cam tea. Im gutted it doesn't smell Hmm

PurplePidjin · 02/09/2013 17:00

Clean jam jar
1" lansinoh per pair of longies
Small squidge of baby wash stuff
Big bowl or bucket

Mix lansinoh and baby wash in jar with a couple of inches of boiling water. Shake to emulsify. Pour over longies, add hot tap water until covered. Soak for an hour.

Squeeze out gently. Lay flat on a tea towel. Roll up, jump up and down on it a bit. Repeat. Line dry.

:)

That sounds like fun to me! Do I need to machine wash the Wink matter off them first?

PurplePidjin · 02/09/2013 18:37

I just rinse unless it's a full on poonami

Sleep training commenced in earnest last night. We went from 4 wakes a night to 1!! 7:15-4, 5-7:30!! And he never left his cot!! :o

Wow awesome going PP!

DS2 went from about 11.30pm - 6.30am in one stretch!! And I didn't wake up during that time either so I think this counts as the longest continuous stretch of sleep I've had in over 2 years!
