Check you two out! WinkWinkWinkWink Thats bloody brilliant and long may it continue. Last night was the second night of the 2 small people in together and titchy woke from Midnight til 1am and didn't disturb ds2 which had totally confused me, a sparrows fart could wake that boy! GrinGrin

Not leaving the cot PP is amazing!! Do you feel a bit sleep drunk R?

PurplePidjin · 03/09/2013 18:24

He's had 3 30 minute naps today, we'll see how Night 2: The One Where Mummy Wants To Go T Kickboxing goes. Night 4: The One Where Mummy Goes To Work So Daddy And Grandma Do Bedtime will be interesting Hmm

Confused Are you back on the caffeine yet?

peanutMD · 04/09/2013 12:48

Glad its not just me who has an awful sleeper, DD was up every 2 hours last night although one of those was my fault as I checked her nappy.

Everytime she has tomato, her pee smells erm spicy Confused does anyone else have this issue?

I'm seriously considering wool wraps as we use Airflows at the moment and the elastic has started leaving marks around her stomach.

How do I measure for wool and where can I buy as i'm really bad at crafty stuff?

PurplePidjin · 04/09/2013 13:50

No, daren't risk it!

Peanut, try the fb nappy selling groups - someone will link you to the knitty wahms :) or send me a suitable jumper+£10+return postage! You measure the rise - belly button to equivalent point on the back - inside leg and waist :)

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 04/09/2013 16:13

Matchsticks? Wink

Tomatoes seem to produce orange poo here Shock

Ive still not been to the charity shops yet looking for jumpers. Can you tag me in a pic of one of the ones you've made please?

The velcro on the LL's has been irritating ds3's belly so need to remember not to put them on him at night. He's been very, very whingey lately too. Hmm

PurplePidjin · 04/09/2013 18:44

I haven't got one! Will take one for you next time i sew.

Must be Handwash Only wool :)

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 04/09/2013 21:58

Cool. Grin

Ds3's little podgy belly is starting to get irritated by the velcro on the LL at night time. He's crying alot atm, not through pain I don't think just general 'I want to be cuddled but I don't Mum'.

Still in with his bro. Wink

NappyHappy · 04/09/2013 22:20

Muuuuuummmmereeeeeeee I want you to sleeeeepppp wiiiith meeeeee.

Ds1, please go to sleep. Grin

PurplePidjin · 05/09/2013 06:11

Went down in 15 again. Shout+self settle at 3. 15 minutes hand holding at 4:10. Woke again at 5:20, dp offered to go as he'd be getting up soon and fucking took him downstairs! So I've now got hysterical over tired non sleeping baby to deal with Hmm

OP posts:
peanutMD · 05/09/2013 07:24

Oh God I feel for you Purple! DD went down at 8 then up for a quick feed at 12 and wide awake from 3-4.45 at which point my mind had gone into random thought to keep me awake mode.

So I was awake until 5.30 worrying about nursery nappies as I've bought a stack if Freetimes but am now fretting that i've been daft paying £10 per nappy when they may well get lost or covered in paint/food etc so maybe cheat pockets would be best.

This of course is completely random as I don't go back to work until January Confused

rrreow · 05/09/2013 10:45

Peanut, what we do with nursery is we provide them with a bag with fresh nappies every day along with a wet bag. At the end of the day we take all nappies back (both used and unused) and then I just provide the full amount again the next day. He's been going for over a year and they've never lost any nappies nor has there been any paint or anything on them.

Husbands can be so thick sometimes. The other day DH took both kids out because I had a violin lesson. DS2 had just fallen asleep which I told him, but instead of letting him sleep while out, he stimulated the hell out of him which meant that afterwards I had a screaming overtired baby to deal with DH has also got into the habit of handing DS2 back to me every time he cries because apparently he will only settle for me.. Of course he will only settle for me if he never puts in the effort to settle him himself!!

PurplePidjin · 05/09/2013 11:34

Dp is normally awesome which makes it harder when he gets it wrong Sad

Xiaoxiong · 05/09/2013 14:47

peanut we were starting to get tummy elastic marks and leakage with PUL wraps - airflows were our last resort but recently our hostess purplepidjin has converted me to fleece and wool. I am a born-again convert! So try fleece as well as wool. There was someone selling a lovely pyjama set with fleece longies on the Cloth Bum Mum sales page on FB the other day.

I'm doing an impromptu strip wash at the moment - they didn't smell especially bad but I just happened to notice on the pre-rinse that the machine was full of soapsuds! I've since done another cold rinse and three(!!) full wash cycles with no added detergent and there are still a few bubbles - they must have been absolutely chock full of soap Blush

PurplePidjin · 05/09/2013 17:58

You can use fleece sleepsuits too, just a fitted nappy underneath. Ds runs hot so it wasn't great for us, but brilliant if you've got one that likes to snuggle up in winter!

Hey, Xiao, i was going to link you here when i got a second :o

A friend has been lent a load of Kushies and i tested a couple for her. They're awesome, slim like sposies but as absorbent as easyfits! I'm bidding on some in the second size on ebay because we don't have long in my adored Realeasies Sad

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 05/09/2013 21:17

Hmmm, thats funny you say that about the marks, theres a post on the selling page about the LL wraps!

Has everyones babies slept better today? Fingers crossed for tonight.

Ive just changed to Ecosprout and Im liking it so far. Nappies certainly do smell less.

It was nice having ds1 in bed last night even though he kept poking me in the face. He's still getting hit by that boy in school Hmm DH spoke to the head about it yesterday so we'll go from there.

Noooo! Is R not going to last the month in the Realeasies? Ive still not tried them yet.

PurplePidjin · 05/09/2013 23:14

They go up to 18lb and he was 17lb13 3 weeks ago they're the only nappies i bought brand new for him, out of money he was given. I don't know whether to sell them to fund the next size or keep for the next...

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 06/09/2013 05:10

Keep them if you love them Grin ds3 put 7oz on in 7 weeks so is 18lb something, book is downstairs and Ive just put them both back in bed so not getting out of mine GrinGrin

Fluff is on the line getting rained on, just what it needs. Pah up again in 2.5 hours.

How did the cake turn out?

PurplePidjin · 06/09/2013 06:20

Cake has marzipan, no icing yet :)

Grr at early morning poo. Little dude finally went down at 11 when i fed him after work. Woke at 5:30. Poo. All over the sheet, although he's clean apart from his bum Hmm

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 06/09/2013 13:07

I love Marzipan. Grin

No way, just what you need at stupid o clock.

PurplePidjin · 06/09/2013 19:19

Changed, fed, 10 more minutes sleep and that was it! Now doing a bedtime battle after yesterday's disruption and too much dinner, oops!
