Cool, porridge on one but that can be picked off and I need to inspect the other pair for poops. Thanks for that! Grin

PurplePidjin · 23/08/2013 15:50

I've just been given some Holdens Landing bed bugs to try, friend passed them on as apparently she can't sell them? Hmm and i got a tots wrap size 2 yellow with white spots for £1.50 in a charity shop :o

Need to get hunting for a woolly pully to turn into longies for Mr Beanstalk...

Im having similar ishoos with them too! Ive stuck them on Ebay £25 for both. How are you finding them?

Grin Mr Beanstalk. How is he?

Ive asked to volunteer at the Childrens Centre so they will keep me informed and that and I can take the boys with me too!

Squishy slept through last night but I got woken by our noisy neighbour arguing with some bloke at 4am!

PurplePidjin · 23/08/2013 20:50

No idea, saw her this morning and want to wash them first!

Ds is fab - 3 teeth, crawling, cruising, high 5ing, says Mumum and dada and ta in context and gave me a good night of 2 short cuddles then a lie in till 7 this morning!

Volunteering sounds like fun :o wonder how many converts you'll get?

FoofFighter · 24/08/2013 14:48

Can I join you please?

DD is 10 days old, been clothing since day 5 once the meconium had gone and the cord fell off.

Have got lots of preloved bits n pieces, so far we have tried:

Bummis prefolds with motherease rikki (LOVE THEM!)
Hemp insert and a microfibre insert in a ME rikki (second fave)
Easy peasy eco bimble - ok for absorbency and nice and soft but the fit is really bad on the wing bits
Diddy diapers - really like these, whats the next size up called so I can look out for some?
Bambooty, really liked it but so so so small! she's pretty much outgrown it already.
Had a go at origami folds on muslins too in a wrap which were fine.

Also got some lollipop mf and little lamb bamboos that are far too big just now.

Lots of lovely ebay cheapies for later on too.

PurplePidjin · 24/08/2013 15:34

Congratulations, Foof, we were in cloth from 5 days too - he's 9 months now! We like AIOs for day time (Realeasies and Easyfits) with Bamboozles for nights with a wool cover although I'm thinking of moving to fitteds during the day too because I like only changing 1-2 times instead of the 4-5 with the AIOs! Just waiting for teething to pass...

I have good condition (didn't suit us) size 1 cotton and well-used bamboo fitteds in size 1 to pass on if you fancy? Ds out-pees all but bamboo or hemp Shock

Have you bought all da pretty wraps yet?!

OP posts:
FoofFighter · 24/08/2013 17:50

PP I think you might have been on the Nov12 thread with me that I had to bow out of :( ?

I've got Motherease wraps that I love as they are bombproof (apart from some preloved with saggy legs :/) but I have to admit I hate the patterns on them! What do you all recommend are pretty but just as bombproof? Pref with the extra leg gussety bit in?

Have loads of size 1s that she just doesn't fit yet, can't wait to try them out! She can be quite a heavy wetter too I was surprised how much actually!

PurplePidjin · 24/08/2013 19:17

I thought i recognised the name, is dd a rainbow? Don't answer if you don't want to

I've got a shedload of Cotton Bottoms 7-10lb ish size, you can have a couple for postage if you like. They're just plain white. NH up there ^ sold me a couple of awesome Wee Notions that work ok on my 18lber even though they're supposed to be 20lb+ I've also got a Wee Huggers but it's not great, compression wicking at the front. Picked up a Tots Wrap in a charity shop yesterday so I'll feed back on that when I've used it!

I make my own woolies out of old jumpers...

NappyHappy · 24/08/2013 21:27

Hey Foof, cool name WinkWinkcongrats on your squish Smile lots of luffly fluff to be bought. Have you joined the fb group?

Ive found the Little Lamb wraps the best so far, nice big gusset Grin and last us 12+ hours with a Little Lamb bamboo.

Ah, PP thats cute. And even better for lie ins!

FoofFighter · 26/08/2013 20:03

The CBM one I'm on NH, shall I do a post in code haha

I have left the selling pages as far too tempting! I have more than enough that I neeeeeeedddd... but of course wannnnntttt and neeedddd are different!! have limited room in this place it's only one bedroomed and till we can manage to move space is at a premium.

PP she's nearly 10lb already, put on 1lb between day 5 wi and today day 12 Shock so will pass but thank you. Would be interested in how you make the woolies though.

Yes a rainbow PP. Baby should have been due 9th Nov 12.

NappyHappy · 26/08/2013 20:12

Why not? Im on the North West CBM one. I have more to post tomorrow! The selling page is baaaad. I see loads that I want but will just have to want Shock

1lb a week?! Crikey! Thats a rather good weight gain!

PP, my American friend is sending over some more tooth stuff WinkWink does thee want some of it??

PurplePidjin · 26/08/2013 20:28

Awesome gain! Clever wee girlie :)

Please may i update the Fred on how your doing? Or i can pm you a link to the current one

Measure inside leg. Measure rise. Add IL to 1/2 rise and cut that length off the sleeves. Cut down each seam to 1/2 rise length. Turn one inside out and slide it over the other so right sides are together. The cuffs will be the ankles, the 1/2 rise length you cut is the crotch. Pin the crotch seam and pin firmly, sew. Turn wrong side out. Measure waist, cut this length from waistband ribbing. Sew into a circle. Pin at the quarters, stretching it between. Sew. Turn right side out and lanolise.

NH thank you but i have loads left. He produced his 2nd top one last night without so much as a whimper so i think we'll be ok for now.

I think I've got his sleeping under control with nappies Shock he hates feeling wet or dirty but mf booster in a bamboozle has produced 2 good nights so tonight he's in a mf insert and bamboozle. I've made him some bigger fleece liners, too. Fingers crossed!!

NappyHappy · 26/08/2013 22:26

Good, well, Ill keep it anyway for when the back ones come in. Its RAOK from him so ill be doing the same. Smile

PurplePidjin · 27/08/2013 05:06
Thanks
OP posts:
rrreow · 27/08/2013 12:00

Foof, if she's 10lbs already then you should try the eBay cheapies, they'll probably fit as long as they're the ones with leg snaps. They fit on my DS from birth (he was 8lbs). They're sooooo cuuuute. I still tend to favour 2 parters though, especially if I'm putting him in the sling as I don't want to risk a poosplosion on the sling.

Put the LLs size 1s in the loft the other day, no way they fit anymore. Not sure what babies they're talking about when they say they fit until 9 months... Hmm He also wees for Britain, I need to boost his Sandys and MEOS otherwise they're drenched within 2 hours!

Meh, can it please be the weekend again? I'm really getting fed up with work.

NappyHappy · 27/08/2013 13:30

Both of the boys were soaked through this morning which isn't like them, I mustn't have wrapped them properly.

How was R last night?

PurplePidjin · 27/08/2013 18:40

We were in btp by 8lb too, few leaks but nothing major. Size 1 still fit R, but he's 9th centile Wink

Nights are improving... Gradually...

OP posts:
FoofFighter · 27/08/2013 18:59

I've got some ebay cheapies but they are massssive on her

NappyHappy · 28/08/2013 06:57

But not quick enough? Wink

Them Ebay cheapies are brill, the boys have got the size 2 LL and they're fastened round to the middle so have loads of room left in them.

My god the presenters on kids tv are on something.

PurplePidjin · 28/08/2013 08:19

I had to wiggle the underneath bit at the front so the legs were smaller, soon gave up and stuck to easyfits and realeasies for day! I never got on with cheapies though. R spent too long between popper sizes.

OP posts:
rrreow · 29/08/2013 13:01

I just ordered some more LL boosters. Compared them to the boosters I have that have been through 1.5 years of washing... they look like a different product altogether!

Went to the Natural History Museum yesterday. It was a ZOO. So many people. I think DS1 enjoyed it though. I think he just likes running around and exploring new places, he's not that bothered about dinosaurs. He is however very bothered with In The Night Garden. I got him some Iggle Piggle pyjamas and he was over the moon!! God I love how easy it is to please a toddler, a cuddle, some food and Iggle Piggle pyjamas.

FoofFighter · 29/08/2013 13:09

Got some new sized small Airflow wraps, they are much bigger than the rikki ones??

Going to try her again in the ebay cheapies when she next needs a change, if not I think the TB easyfit (chicken licken)should fit her by now, it looks a little smaller on the smallest settings than the ebays. Although not as funky!

Does anyone know - I heard about fleece soakers, and somewhere on a forum I am sure I read that a fleece sleepsuit/pjs will do the same thing? Is that right? Cause if so will get her some for the winter.

PurplePidjin · 29/08/2013 14:17

R was in fleece sleep suits for a while but got too hot (he's a hot baby anyway) you need one per night and they whiff a bit come morning but work fine :)

OP posts:
FoofFighter · 29/08/2013 14:23

cool :)

the tb ef fits woohoo! will pop up a piccie on cbm fluffy chat then you'll know who I am ;)
