Does the Cashmere work as good as average wool? Ive not used the bargain longies yet, they're really thick so shall wait a few months til its chilly out Grin

How is R at nights now?

PurplePidjin · 29/07/2013 18:51

They seem to, at least he wakes up dry on the outside!

Night weaning night 2 is about to commence...

Oh thats great! Grin For both. How are you night weaning? Now DH has no job I can do the same with mini me. Still at similar times so its def habit.

Fingers crossed for you!! You'll have to let me know how you get on. Smile

NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 04:18

Ive not been to sleep yet. Ds2 wont go to sleep and has woken ds3 up and he has been asleep on and off since 11pm when it all started. I want ti go home now.

rrreow · 30/07/2013 09:50

Oh NH that's torture Sad

NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 10:38

They were giggling at each other! Was kind of cute at the time.

If DH had just left me to get boy2 to sleep instead of disturbing us by coming in the room and telling me to put him in my bed with me non if it would've happened as boy3 was sorting himself out for sleep. Wanker.

How is that lovely chubby baby of yours? Grin

rrreow · 30/07/2013 12:45

He's got those roly-poly legs Grin, J never had them, he was big but skinny. Size 1 Little Lambs look as if they have about another weeks use and then they'll be too small (supposed to last up to 9 months my arse).

He's been asleep in my office for ages, but when I looked around just now I can see his eyes are open! I think I shall lock him onto the boob for a while.

PurplePidjin · 30/07/2013 14:08

Awww, rrreow Thanks

I'm just not offering boob when he wakes up. He gets cuddles, water, dummy, teething gel etc but no milk.

Last night he woke up at 1:15. 1:30 was play time. Dp eventually got him down at 2:30 (we tag team) then he woke up at 5:30 Hmm

Night weaning is the pits. We switched to a bottle during the night for that. He didn't drop it until very recently, although for ages it was pretty low maintenance (wake up, chuck bottle in cot, go back to sleep Grin).

How is the crochet learning going NH?

NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 18:38

It didn't ha! The internet connection is rubbish so will do it when I get home. Did you get any work done? How much does he weigh now?

Hopefully P you'll not have many more nights of it now. Doesn't help when they smile and be all cute at you when they wake WinkWink I cant remember how old the first 2 were when I NW them, or how I did it! R's wakings don't seem too bad apart from the wanting to play Shock he's so big! Does he love his food?

NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 18:43

I love roly poly legs and fat podgy baby feet.

PurplePidjin · 30/07/2013 18:57

He's 8 months and really really doesn't need it. He needs to go to fucking sleep and fucking stay there!

17lb odd, crawling like a loon and pulling himself up! Shock

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 19:58

I got ds3 weighed the other week and he was 18lb and he's 10m now. A woman I know said to just let him CIO at night. No way. If he was 5yr old and having a strop then yes. Wink

What was night 1 like?

Were not doing the pulling up to standing or cruising yet just pulling up to the knees and bouncing on them. R is doing fab with his getting about Grin sounds like he'll be walking by the time he's one!

PurplePidjin · 30/07/2013 20:51

Night 1 -sunday - he woke about every 1.5 hours but shouting not crying. Night 2 - last night - one major one 1:15-2:30. Tonight he went down late at 7:15 but hasn't needed resettling yet - I'd been in once by now for the last week or so.

Dp skipped crawling and walked at 10 months. I was a demon on four limbs at 8 months, walked at 13ish...

NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 21:25

Fingers crossed for tonight onwards for you! Wink Hopefully not long now.

Walking at 10m?! It certainly sounds like R will be an early walker too Smile

What are you going to do when you get your evenings back?

PurplePidjin · 30/07/2013 21:53

Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

Not watch New Tricks. Oh no...

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 30/07/2013 22:23

With ears ringing in silence.....

And maybe a glass of vino? WinkWink

Ooh you can watch CSI!!!

rrreow · 31/07/2013 00:16

cluster feeding at midnight.

NappyHappy · 31/07/2013 07:52

Midnight?! 5 hours earlier is more appropriate young Z! Had you not been asleep long before he started?

PurplePidjin · 31/07/2013 08:00

7:15-5:30 with one half hour wake up. There is hope!

Tbh, he's always gone down ok and given us an evening, it's the early morning disturbance that I've struggled with.

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 31/07/2013 08:51

That is brilliant! GrinGrin

Masters 1 & 2 slept great and 3 woke at 6.30 after the usual 2 wakes.

Do you feel better for the extra sleep?

rrreow · 31/07/2013 10:18

I hadn't been asleep yet. I fed him around 11pm, then he wasn't interested anymore at all, so I thought "we'll go to sleep". But then he was doing all sorts of grunting and not going to sleep, so I put him on the boob again around 12am: cue 45 minute boobing session Hmm

Next wake up was 3.30am for about 5 minutes and a nappy change, and then.. wait for it.... 8.30am!! I'm still tired but the 5 hour stretch does make all the difference.

Off to a sling library soon! I love the Kari-Me but I find it a bit too stretchy and also such a faff to put on and take off. which I always end up doing more often than I think. Hoping to try maybe a woven sling, a part shaped one like a caboo and maybe something like an Ergo.

PurplePidjin · 31/07/2013 10:55

Not really i stayed up watching new tricks!

Ds is currently asleep on my back, rrreow Wink
