Ha! You have to tell how you got on.

Theres only my Nana who is 94 ish, she'll not tell anyone how old she is and my next door neighbour who is lovely and still has 2 of her children living there and they are older than me!

Is DS really on the move now? In a belly shuffle kinda way?

PurplePidjin · 21/06/2013 22:36

My nan's 92, she's the only local one left. Ex primary school teacher Hmm

He's all over the place wriggling and rolling. I crawled at 7 months, dp walked at 10 months

Poor little dude woke up, he's all drowsy, he puked down himself and I've managed to latch him on and he's halfheartedly sucking Sad

NappyHappy · 22/06/2013 09:05

Wow, Im not sure if Nana had a job, there were 8 children to look after though!

No crawling here, were doing the same as R, the others started crawling about now. Ds1 was 14m and ds2 12m when they started walking. Ds2 is just starting to talk a little bit 'wow, uck a daa!' Wow, look at that! And love you, thank you, all gone. But it comes out uv oooo, gank gooo. Ds1 was quite late so I was all pfb and worried. Now he doesnt pause for breath most of the time!

Still no joy with lumps/sticks of food here yet Hmm just pukes it up.

Does R seem ok today? Mo more pukes? Hmm

Dadadadada yayayaya nngah

Said R.

:o

He was fine, i suspect yoghurt so we're cutting dairy for a few days to see. He only has yoghurt and the occasional bit of cheese on pasta so no big deal.

R prefers lumps, fork squished raspberries with baby rice was a good pudding this evening :)

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 22/06/2013 23:11

R is doing great! Love baby talk so much. Is he pulling silly faces at you both too?

The chavettes on the end are having another house party with shite 90's clubland style music.

Think Ill have a look through my Annabel Karmel book for some inspiration for lumps. Im making fish pie tomorrow so that'll do him.

rrreow · 23/06/2013 14:26

Ladies, may I tell you about my boobs? I've always worn a B/small C cupsize, D during breast feeding DS1 (although was measured at M&S so likely the wrong size). Anyways, I went for a fitting at Bravissimo yesterday and the verdict is: 28GG Grin my inner flat chested girl is very pleased. Now I just need to continue to breast feed full time for the rest of my life.... Hmm

I can't wait for the babble stage! It's so cute. Although I really love the newborn sounds too, DS2 often sounds like a dolphin Grin

NappyHappy · 23/06/2013 16:53

Shit! Ill have to get measured there as they're normally a 42E and measured myself butShockShock at you new Gigantic G size busters!

Do your new bras feel better? Im wearing those Belvia crop top things.

PurplePidjin · 23/06/2013 17:15

I went to a fab local independent and came out the same size Confused

Don't you just love short-notice visits from the in laws Hmm

OP posts:
rrreow · 23/06/2013 20:18

New bra feels good indeed. Choices for nursing bras in this size are very limited though unfortunately. But at least this bra has some lace so I don't feel like a grandma.

NappyHappy · 23/06/2013 22:46

Im fat hence boob size Wink think gala melon in a long sock!

Oh noooo! Was it mil and fil or more? And the day when you've not tidied or got dressed?

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 04:24

Mil, sil, 7yo dn with asd, 5yo dn. I love them very much but dp ran a 5 mile race in the morning and they turned up just as we were about to eat lunch - they're veggie so lunch was delayed and we didn't eat till nearly 4. Also 7yo dn needs careful childproofing to keep her safe which i hadn't had a chance to do (they live 2 hours away so not like they pop in much!). Plus R was up every 2 hours last night - and tonight- so we've had fuck all sleep.

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 24/06/2013 09:20

That is not good. I wish people would phone, text whatever before they turn up. I hope you've managed to get some sleep, you'll be sat with your head out of the window then today to wake yourself up?! Do you need to go anywhere today or can you stay in and ignore the door?

Im now coming down with a chest infection. Confused

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 16:02

They did but then sil's phone battery died so we had no idea if/when they were coming after mine that said"looking forward to seeing you". They also stay till bed time normally, luckily dp went to the loo and i could drop some not-so-subtle hints about how tired we all were so they left about 5:30.

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 24/06/2013 16:29

Ha ha! But staying til bedtime? As much as I like having people over I also like them to not stay long!

Mum is due sometime this week too.

How is the night nappy combo going?

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 19:25

Yeah, it's really helpful Hmm they came for 6 hours when ds was 5 days old. Cooped up in my lounge cos it was pissing with rain. Dn found the birthing ball, i still have nightmares about her crashing into me trying to feed the baby. I couldn't even get to my spot on the sofa with the extra pillow for my back and footstool in the right place

Size 2 babeco + wool longies does all night now. Just wish ds would!

How's the chest?

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 24/06/2013 19:57

Its not come on yet but its there. Its this stupid weather.

That sounds ShockShock im not surprised you still have mares about it now.

Anno, hopefully not long now til the wake ups reduce and eventually stop. I dont even bother going to bed til ds3 has woken the first time which is normally between 10.30-12.30 as it'll just give me a really bad head by morning.

That sweet pot pudding you made sounds nice, is it more cake like?

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 20:49

On good nights, first wake is around 2 from a 7:30 bed time. So even with staying up to pump, i get a few hours. Fx for tonight!

Sweet potato pudding is a bit like bread pudding in texture. 1 1/2lb sweet potato, 1/2 cup grated coconut cream or soaked dessicated coconut, 1/4 pint milk, 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tsp each cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, vanilla essence. Mix dry, add wet, bake for an hour at 160*.

I used dessicated and soaked it in the milk then added another lot of milk separately and it came out too wet. Next time I'd just soak the coconut in the milk and be done with it.

You can cut down the sugar to make it healthier, but i used brown and got a lovely sticky crust on top :o

OP posts:
rrreow · 24/06/2013 21:42

That sounds nice! Going to try and make that this week. What do you put it in, a loaf tin?

rrreow · 24/06/2013 21:43

Also I assume the sweet potato is boiled & mashed? Don't do much baking so I haven't a clue.

PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 21:55

Big flat square one, and no - grated raw, like carrot cake. It's yum and practically a portion of veg!

OP posts:
PurplePidjin · 24/06/2013 21:56

The pudding should be about 1 1/2" deep btw. It doesn't rise.

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 25/06/2013 10:05

It sounds absolutely lush. It'll be a healthy treat for the boys.

Ive got stuff in to bake lemon meringue pie later, was meant to be key lime but there were no limes! I like baking but always get sidetracked.

PurplePidjin · 25/06/2013 14:38

Went down an absolute storm at our bf picnic. I'm going to make another and cut down the sugar to make it healthier and so ds can eat it :o

I had him in his CitH napoy, then James the green engine. Got a convert already, 15wo in G nappies :o

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 25/06/2013 15:38

Good day all round then! GrinGrin were there a lot of people there? Any young Mums there? All the bf Mums I know are my age and I dont see any teenage/20's mums about iyswim.

Mum came round earlier then me and the boyz had a sleep. Just pickedds1 up from school and he looks ready to sleep! But it wont happen Grin

Roast chicken, jackets and salad for tea.

PurplePidjin · 25/06/2013 17:12
