NappyHappy · 21/05/2013 11:08

No, I've never used them. The only fluff I need to sell are the Easy Peasy Bimbles. Wink

Cool, big growth all round then!!! I didn't make it to Baby Clinic, I've been running late all day! Confused

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 23/05/2013 18:42

It rained and hailed here today, wtf?! What is going on with this weather? Will I ever get my nappies on the line again?! Jealous of your new airer rrrreow Smile

NappyHappy · 23/05/2013 20:17

Anno, no wonder people are getting ill. Hmm

Its been raining on and orf here for days too but Ive still been leaving stuff on the line. Out doors-y freshness. Lush.

My Nin (Nana) had one of those airers on the kitchen ceiling. Happy memories Grin

It took 1.5. Hours to tidy ds1s tiny box room before. What a messy little herbert!

rrreow · 23/05/2013 21:01

It's so c-c-c-coooooold today! Bizarre.

I can't wait for my airer to be up. I went for a 6 slat one and it's 1.5m long. So 9m of nappy drying space!!

NappyHappy · 23/05/2013 21:49

Cool. I read that having a fan blow on your laundry will help it dry quicker. Makes sense really as the wind dries it quicker outside. Just dint forget ti open a window/put a dehumidifier on!

rrreow · 23/05/2013 21:59

The airer will be fixed near the door to the roof terrace, so can definitely leave the door ajar for quicker drying. Will also be good to get the nappy drying process out of our bedroom as we have a humidifier in there which I'm sure is a bit counterproductive. Oh and I get some FLOORSPACE back!

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 23/05/2013 22:09

NH, if your nappies get rained on do you wash them or rinse them again or anything? Keeping a window open make a if difference, I have been known to have the heating on or the heated airer, and a window open Blush

We're planning to get our loft converted into a room and I will lose the space at the rope of the stairs where I currently keep the airer permanently up... I don't know what I'm going to do! rrreow please can you send me the link to your airer? Maybe I can find a way to incorporate it into the new loft!

NappyHappy · 23/05/2013 23:05

Nope, I wait til they're dry and use them. Rain water on nappies is wonderful stuff. Its gets rid of smells and they feel different. Smile

Another one here who leaves the window open with the heating on! Shock

That Stinkpot detergent is good, has been used on fruit salad pooplosions and got it all out! I shall see what the next few washes has in store using it.

PurplePidjin · 23/05/2013 23:13

I need a heated airer. Or more nappies Hmm

Actually i think i do need more nappies. I've been changing bamboo boosted easyfits every 2 1/2 hours so sacked them off in favour of the size 1 fitteds. I now change every 4-5 hours during the day and use the size 2 fitteds with wool overnight. Anyone know what vguc easyfits are worth? Not sure what version, some bamboo some microfibre Confused

This is the one I got: www.clothesmaid.com/Products/91-sixer-airer.aspx

PP I'd try and get a minimum of £10 each. Maybe even more if they're in vg condition and discount multiples. Did you buy them new or second hand? Sell on FB group.

NappyHappy · 24/05/2013 10:35

I sold most of my Easyfits for £7.50 each. Do need to sell my Bimbles though to make funds for wraps.

Are heated airers any good??

rrreow · 24/05/2013 10:42

Are heated airers any good?? I read some reviews on amazon a while back and they tend to be good if you cover them with something (like a sheet) so you've created a kind of hot air 'pocket'. If you leave them just like a normal airer then only the bits that are actually touching the metal get dry and the rest takes pretty much as long as normal.

OrangeSunset · 24/05/2013 12:40

Hi, just wanted to ask about selling nappies - got a few bundles of tots bots, baby beehinds and bumgenius to sell.

Are there any sites which are recommended? I did look in the For Sale section on there, but there aren't many posts so I wondered if there wasn't much traffic...

Any pointers? EBay seems to only sell new ones these days...

rrreow · 24/05/2013 13:56

Facebook groups (I believe they are closed groups so you have to join them first before you can post):

CBM Sales
Preloved Cloth Nappies and Accessories

rrreow · 24/05/2013 13:58

eBay officially don't allow you to sell used nappies, but you can just select 'new' when you list them and put in the title/description that they're used. I have bought a lot of used nappies off eBay. You do obviously run the risk of your listing being removed, but I see so many used nappy listings on there I don't think they're that hot on removing them.

NappyHappy · 24/05/2013 14:34

Hi Sunset, Ive sold and bought loads off Ebay we've just stated Pre loved etc in the description. Ive also sold them on the FB pages Rreow mentioned below.

Hmm, heated airer is not for me as it will be used as a tent by the boys!!

PurplePidjin · 24/05/2013 15:47

Have you got any fitteds, Sunset?
