I've got a couple of size 1 LL and they fit fine. It's the wrap that needs to be leak proof, the fitted is just to mop up the wet iyswim :)

I've got some LL size 1s for my imminent arrival and I was thinking how small and cute they look! But then I'm used to DSs big nappies. The LLs look only a little bit bigger than the size 1 Pampers disposables though so I really think they'll be fine on a newborn. As PP says, as long as everything is contained in the wrap it's fine. Any reusable is always going to look a bit more bulky on a baby than a disposable. LL say their size 1s should fit until about 9 months.

PurplePidjin · 16/05/2013 13:58

As we're only getting 2 1/2 hours from a boosted EF I'm tempted to bump the size 1s to day use with a wrap and use the new size 2s over night with the woollies. Will see how the new ones do tonight first though!

Bizarrely dp can easily change a night nappy but often gets day ones twisted Hmm you'd think AIOs would be easier!

Thanks purple and rrreow

rrreow have you brought new ones or seconds, just wondered if mine appear slightly larger as they've been stretched out a bit with use, the elastic has gone on a few.

Pleased you think they'll be ok though, really can't afford to have to buy disposables as well as buying the LL's.

rrreow · 16/05/2013 15:56

I got mine new. They're the bamboo ones. They looked quite big until I prewashed them and now they look newborn size.

I have heard that before about the elastic going on LLs. Should still be fine as long as you have a good wrap (wrap with gussets should help for containing poosplosions)

LexiLoganberryBump · 16/05/2013 16:22

The wraps I have are the LL wraps.

Just had a look at my bumgenius in there smallest setting and they look a similar size to the LL's. I'm sure it'll work out fine.

NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 17:49

I am very impressed with the LL wraps.

Aww new squishy babies Grin

Even before his leg and back started he didn't P, I told him last night to move out but he wont because he says its not fair on the boys. Hmm his excuse is that he's been at work all day. Thats another story!

I got a new wet bag today from Bumdeal and I cant stop stroking it! Cow print minky Smile the zips have broke on 2 of my others but will try and get one repaired, the other can be chucked.

Me and the small people had a big nana nap before. I feel so much better. These 5.30 wake ups are not good (looks at the smallest boy) even though I put him in with me with the tv on he protests and wants to play on the floor downstairs! I can hear ds2 playing with his cars in the early hours too but he goes back to sleep.

I expect a report re the new fluff Wink

Who is the next to give birth?

PurplePidjin · 16/05/2013 18:50

Sucks then. I hate people who make excused!

Still wet after a day on the line in full sun so have to wait till tomorrow to play

greedy boy vommed exercise style this afternoon. And I'm stuck at work for the evening. Tanked him up on book and no solids and dp stuck him in the bath as i left with my mum due round to help but i still feel bad for going out. But my colleague is off sick so if i don't come in there's no youth club tonight

rrreow · 16/05/2013 18:59

I may well be next? 15 June. Just had my homebirth assessment today. Three midwives extremely excited about the prospect of a homebirth Grin it was really nice. They don't get that many around here apparently.

Glad to say my DH also pulls his weight when it comes to baby stuff. He's very hands-on. He loves to sound off about cloth nappies though.. drives me mad (I think he lays it on thick exactly because he knows it riles me!). Although he was totally singing the praises of our reusable wipes the other day (after having to use disposable wipes for one poopy nappy change).

NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 19:57

Dont feel bad P, you need time away, R and DP can do boy stuff and it'll do the young people at the YC good too!!

My fluff (not the boys Wink) is still wet too. It's been on the maiden near a radiator for 2 days now Shock

NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 20:00

PS I LOVE your boys name R.

rrreow · 16/05/2013 20:30

Thanks NH Smile

Ooh you reminded me I just ordered a www.clothesmaid.com We're having someone in to board out the loft and thought it would be a good opportunity to have the same person install one of these at the top of our stairwell. I'm so excited! Not least because it means we'll finally get some floorspace back in our bedroom as currently I permanently have 2 airers set up.

PurplePidjin · 16/05/2013 20:41

I do but feel bad when he's ill

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 21:58

He would say though if he was ill though? how did tonight go?

I do get excited R about sad things like that. Wink kitchen gadgetry and the like.

Currently trying out csp! Properly this time.

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 16/05/2013 22:41

The new blueberry is I think called blossom, or bloom - it's quite girly unlike my others which are monkeys and giraffes! Pretty and girly for a change! Lexi I like the LL wraps too they are lovely and soft and nice wide gussety bit round the legs which I think is good.

NH sounds like you have been having a really tough time with the boys at night - thinking of you, I don't know how you do it! How are you finding the csp? What have you got?

The size 3 LL looks less enormous now it's been thru the wash. Pidj when I read your post last night about the new bamboo soaking and ready to wash - I was exactly the same - and also excited about it... Oh dear... It's so sad how they lose that lovely softness when they're washed though... DD is enormous hence the 3s! She's always been 98th centile for height and weight, nearly the size of a 3 yr old at 21months. DH is 6'5 so all his fault really that I had to buy new ones!

NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 23:00

I survive on coffee, cake, chocolate and nana naps Wink

Ds2 used to be a right chubber til he started walking etc. Confused his fat was cute.

Is anyone keeping a nappy as a keepsake type thing?

NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 23:01

Ooh, yeah csp. Weenotions and so far so good. Will see what overnight brings!!

PurplePidjin · 16/05/2013 23:10

Youthie was fab. No idea how R was, he was grottering when i got in so i fed him and dp is now trying to sleep. My mum's not here though (does 6:30-9:30 is while I'm out 6-10:30) so it can't have been too bad. He's in the jammies i laid out before i went though so i don't think he's vommed since the last one at 5.

Bamboo goes soft when tumble dried Wink

NappyHappy · 17/05/2013 08:57

Wicked, all sounds good in the house of purple!

Well, little D is still having his 'lets wake up 2-3.30am' phase. Confused

I tried him in with me so he kept pulling my hair and slapping my specs! And puked.

Camomilla tonight WinkWink

LexiLoganberryBump · 17/05/2013 10:14

Thanks biscuit good to hear it's a good wrap.

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2013 18:30

He's napped well today despite being out so fx for tonight

Little gannet has had 1/2 a weetabix with pear, 1oz sweet potato, 1/2oz butternut squash, 1 tbsp rice, 1oz apple, 1/2oz parsnip and 1/2oz pear today. Plus feeds every couple of hours. I don't know where he puts it!!

New nappy on :o

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 17/05/2013 19:37

He'll test the nappy out with it WinkWink

Ds3 has had 1/2 Wbix, slept through lunch and had 1/3 an Ellas pouch ad I'd not made anything! Some of my pasta which he threw at me Grin

In bed now so we'll see if I get the 2am wake up call!!

New fluff Grin cant wait for the report (saddo)

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2013 19:58

I bought baby pasta today too. Going to try pasta with cauliflower and cheese for lunch tomorrow. Might be a bit less rough on the tum than yoghurt?

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 17/05/2013 20:46

I love cauli cheese and pasta Grin

Wonder what caused the Exorcism with the yogurt Shock was it really bad?

Someone cant manage baby pasta yet, I've got to squish it with a fork.

Its mad having this baby eat little compared to ds2 who inhaled everything in sight at that age (and still does the piggy).

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2013 21:26

I think it was just a bit rich. He'd never had dairy before then piggied an entire fromage frais. Shock to the system!

We'll see how he does with pasta, but he manages lumps in my shoddy mashing fairly well? Apparently his month older cousin refuses everything but milk, they all do things their own way fo sho Confused
