I'm thinking of the wring 'don't worry' song! Shock

PurplePidjin · 13/05/2013 21:36

No accents, no needto make even more of a twat of myself! It's a more interesting lullaby than twinkle fucking twinkle

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 13/05/2013 22:49

Anything is better than twinkle!

I get told off for my singing in accents Wink oh well. Even worse when out in public Wink Wink

Is tonight looking promising? ds3 has been asleep since 7 ish so am expecting a wake up call soon.

And the first tooth is through his gum. I definitely think the amber helps, I've only had to give him half advise of calpol once when his temp was raised the other night.

PurplePidjin · 14/05/2013 15:21

PurplePidjin · 14/05/2013 18:26

I had a bit of a rant at my Mother the other day saying that I need a break, and could she have the older 2. They're good kids just loud Wink but she wants to wait til my Step Dad is off work too Blush

Good to hear both the men in your life are doing good.

Ive got 6 Bimbles to sell with 3 Nippas for £25 all in if you're still looking for fluff?

NappyHappy · 15/05/2013 01:44

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 02:28

Ds2 decided to wake at 5.30.

I thought they were meant to sleep at night?!

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 09:04

NappyHappy · 15/05/2013 14:35

It sounds nice and relaxing. Just whats needed. Smile

How are you R?

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 15:19

It was a bit crap-had to teach them all in between looking after babies Hmm so i ducked out early an surprised a friens who's been having a rough time lately. Seeing other 6mo babies really brought it home to me that R really is advanced for his age, it's not just me being pfb. He sat in a highchair playing with toys, cooing and looking round while the others (3 a couple of weeks older) lay in prams/carseats and stared at stuff... Wish one of you guys could meet him and give me a proper objective opinion, not just what you think i want to hear! Mind, even my GP and the lovely bf mw at group think he's ahead Confused

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 15/05/2013 18:40

It is really nice when they can sit up and look around, they seem to get less frustrated than when they're stuck on their backs. This stage - sitting up and pre-mobile - is the easiest IMHO! I spent ages wishing dd would crawl as she showed no interest in it for ages, then she was suddenly off! Exploring everywhere faster than I could child-proof it, constantly in search of new ways to endanger herself... She is still the same, always trying to climb onto a chair, from the chair to the table, to the bookshelves, etc.... Enjoy. It while it lasts!

My size 3 LLs arrived today plus new blueberry wrap, the wrap is so cute! I'm guilting myself a bit about whether I really need the size 3s for overnight... They look massive... Bt then I can't see the stretchies lasting much longer and she's not 2 yet so will still be. In nappies at night for a while surely?! Going to prewash and try one and keep the rest back for a bit I think. When dh sees them he will be a bit Confused do we really need more nappies?!

BiscuitCrumbsInBed · 15/05/2013 18:41

rrreow when are you starting mat leave?? Not long to go now surely?

rrreow · 15/05/2013 21:00

do we really need more nappies?!

An emphatic 'yes' to that, of course Grin What print did you get for the Blueberry? I love my Blueberries, they're great for distracting DS: "Do you want the elephants or the dinosaurs?" And he loves the one with monkeys because he can actually say that word (in Dutch) and they have bananas.

Had to go to the antenatal department on Monday due to some shortness of breath & chest pain and spent all day there pretty much waiting around Sad All is fine though, it was probably a combination of the baby squashing up towards my lungs and a cold I've been having.

Not sure I'll be going on mat leave as such before the baby is born. It's not really an option as we run our own business. But I am taking it easy, sleeping a bit later in the mornings and sometimes having a nap if I need it. Practically speaking this does mean I probably won't finish the baby blanket in time lol

PP sounds like he's doing really well. That was a difficult age for my DS as he just wanted to be entertained all the time. For me it was actually a relief when he started crawling because he got so much happier being able to do his own thing.

PurplePidjin · 15/05/2013 22:53

Luckily he'll play by himself for 10-15 minutes when he's in the mood, which is several times a day. Plus i have dp around all the time to help out. They have breakfast together now ds is on solids which gives me an hour or two to catch up on sleep, and they go out for groceries and coffee together so i can catch up on soaking in the bath, pureeing, sewing etc.

My ebay bargain nappies turned up, they're beautiful! Unused, unwashed, silky soft! 3 layer fitted bamboo nappies with 2 layer fleece topped snap in boosters. I've got them in a bucket of water with a dash of washing powder to soak, and will put them in with the nappy wash tomorrow. Can't wait

OP posts:
NappyHappy · 16/05/2013 06:50

I'd love to see him P, little sausage is like that too but started sitting properly about 7m and is currently sat on the floor farting away playing with his toys whilst I have a brew Smile

You're are also very lucky to have a DP that helps! Grin mines never even bathed ds2 or 3 or changed any nappies!

Your new fluff sounds cool, and you have to report back on how they are Wink (even sadder).

Size 3?! Both mine are in size 2 with the tabs touching in the middle!

Ds2 is the climber, cupboards, furniture, people. He'll be the one who is in A&E alot WinkHmm

PurplePidjin · 16/05/2013 08:29

Never bathed them? Dp would say he should be ashamed to call himself a dad or a partner. He has Strong Views about men who don't pull their weight Angry unless it's to do with his health then i take it back. A bit Surely he can at least change nappies (that's why we have velcro ones Wink)

R was up every 2 hours, but dp took him down for brekkie at 6:15 so i had an hour to catch up. He ate a whole weetabix with bm and pear Shock

Must go do the nappy wash, new ones to play with!

I'm going to be using bumgenius freetime nappies when my baby is born and reaches 10-12lbs.

So I've brought some second hand size 1 cotton little lamb nappies from ebay to use before baby gets to the min weight for the bumgenius. Weight range on them is 7-20lbs, they're nice but they look huge, I was wondering if any of you use little lamb nappies and if they did fit a newborn?

I brought second hand as I wanted something that I'd most likely only be using for the first 3 months so needed them to be economical. Worried if I can't use them straight away that I might of made a mistake and should of stuck with using disposables to begin with instead.
