went to my mum's to sort out their internet and got a call from my DH, very shaken and he said that the neighbours had been round and threaten him and were standing outside and not to come home I phoned the police from my mums and came straight home, I leaped out and told my neighbour that he had no right to threaten anyone and to make them feel like this, he called me a thing and that I should just get into my 'dirty' house.... my mum got out and said to him that she was sorry for shouting over the fence on sunday and that the arguement was with her and not us.... he told us to get off 'his' garden (not his its his parents house) and started to push me, at which point my dad jumped between us, and he said that he would flatten my dad!!! I said the plice were on their way, and he said that if they did come I wouldn't be living here much longer....... I went into the house and phoned the council and said that I want to make a complaint about the neighbours. The police turned up then and spoke to us, they had already been next door, and he said that they had missed out lots of information, I went and got the kids from scool whil the police were next door and broke down in the office...... I jus want a quiet life, wh is it that wherever I go, there is trouble

Any advice misdee ? The situation sounds horrible.

You're both not having an easy time at the mo, hey...

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 17:33

no, I feel sooooo drained with it all..... have expressed an interested in two houses in Bolton, both 3 bedrooms, one has steps down to th front door so not sure if its actually suitable but the other looks lovely...

no advice. had problem neighbours as in noisey and mouthy, but not actually threats IYKWIM. we just ignored them, oh then moved. my place is more central in the town, but i dont think there is anything round this way. might be something on the new estate over the road soon, charlene who i walk to the school with says it looks like some people are planning a flit. the houses are ready for adaptions and very wide etc for disabled access. get back on the list and see what they say.

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 17:46

what do you mean you they look like they are going to do a flit??? Are they moving things out??

OP posts:
misdee · 11/05/2005 17:49

they dont stay their the nights. they are bringing runbish to the house to the night b4 rubbish collection days, and slowly moving furiture out. charlene thinks its a 4bed house.

hub2dee · 11/05/2005 17:53

Make some calls, sparkly, so at least your name is fresh in people's minds if something should happen !

misdee · 11/05/2005 17:55

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 18:11

LOL.

Sparkly: I presume the kids are home and all is quiet ?

misdee: Is your Pete still in the hossie or is he also back ?

Would it be fun to live near each other or do you fight ? LOL.

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 18:31

no they are fighting.....

OP posts:
hub2dee · 11/05/2005 18:35

the kids, right, not the neighbours ?

That's alright ! (kind of).

misdee · 11/05/2005 18:51

dh still in hospital. no idea if he is coming home tonight.

me and mieow dont fight, but our dh would be peed off as we'd be at each ithers houses all the time.

i'll ask tomorrow if i see her, have to pick dd1 up early as she has hospital appt in the afternoon.

hub2dee · 11/05/2005 19:00

misdee, have you developed a stomach ulcer yet ? The stress / adrenaline for weeks on end must be horrible. Hope you get some company in bed tonight. I'd get lonely.

I think it would be fab to have the sisters living close by. Am sure the dhs would learn to cope ! (Well, they wouldn't have a choice, would they ? !!!!)

Freckle · 11/05/2005 19:07

Can echo that. My younger sis and I live about 5-10 min drive from each other. She is a single parent. Not the same as being opposite each other, but, as we both drive, it isn't really a problem. We are always there for each other when needed, often at a few moments' notice. I think our parents are much less stressed knowing that we can call on each others' support so quickly.

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 22:48

atm me and misdee are only live about 5 minutes drive apart anyway... and my mum is about 2 minutes away from me and 5 minutes from misdee

OP posts:
hub2dee · 11/05/2005 23:25

Didn't realise you were already so close. That's nice. I wouldn't go to Bolton !!!!

LOL @ the cats. Get to bed !

sparklymieow · 11/05/2005 23:58

have been filling in the housing form, its so hard because in theory this house is suitable for their needs, but we did notice the other day when we had to use DS wheelchair inside (he had a bad day) there wasn't enough room to move it about especially in the extention that was built for him.... so I can play on that, but need advice..

hub2dee · 12/05/2005 00:02

CAB ? A disabled charity or campaiging organisation ? Maybe there's a clued up person at the council or HA who could help out ?

Good luck.

sparklymieow · 12/05/2005 00:05

am going to see the housing officer tomorrow (hopefully) and ask about the circle 33 housing and whether we would be able to have one, if one came up...

OP posts:
tiffini · 12/05/2005 00:07

i imagine it will be a long wait to get re-housed because of the specifications you need, it's a shame other people are not willing to complain about your neighbours in the hope that they would be evicted on thr grounds of anti-social behaviour.
sorry not much help

sparklymieow · 12/05/2005 00:09

TBH, I would take a 3 bed house anywhere atm, and do the work myself, we have extra rails and a downastairs bedrom (which I didn't ask for) and a wetroom, but we could get that done again if a house doesn't have downstairs toliet

OP posts:
tiffini · 12/05/2005 00:12

i am useless on this subject, Housing Associations seem to have a law of there own, i am desperate to move too.
sorry i cant help, hope you get sorted soon
