Traffic light lollypops - coated in chocolate then green, yellow and red underneath.

Green shield stamps.

Getting your divi from the co-op.

Going into individual shops for things instead of all under one roof. Queing at the butchers etc.

zippy539 · 25/03/2005 13:36

Summertime Special on the telly.

actualisedad · 25/03/2005 14:18

Brian Cant - our generation's Justin!
Buying a can of coke and a packet of crisps on the way home from school for 10p (6p & 4p)...
The time a kid at school got a ZX Spectrum...
Ludwig (children's TV faberge egg, that no-one remembers); Ivor the Engine; Mr Ben (always nicked something from the costume, and never paid...)
The mascot for the football World Cup in Spain.
Comic books with war stories set in WWII, and a top sports personality on the back (like snooker's Ray Reardon). Only forty years after the war had ended - get over it!!!
Liking Adam & the Ants - but being really embarrased that my dad liked them too...
And pretty much everything listed below, including Cheekaboos and fruit-smelling felt-tips

actualisedad · 25/03/2005 14:31

The Royal Wedding...
Doctor Who on Saturday nights...

What goes around comes around!

zippy539 · 25/03/2005 14:35

Brian Cant was the first man I ever truly loved...

moschops · 25/03/2005 14:41

i remember Ludwig!!!!!

actualisedad · 25/03/2005 15:04

Heidi on TV. I seem to recall they made about 10,000 episodes, and it stretched right across my childhood. I might be wrong - memory plays funny tricks sometimes...especially when it has been scarred by that overly-happy theme tune!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady · 25/03/2005 15:50

Flambards

Kibby · 25/03/2005 15:54

Yes we were always doing that. It wound my mum right up. Whenever she went to put something in the oven we were grilling our crisp bags. lol
