...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Yeah, you'd think...

And you're not allowed to sell on your 100 watters as second hand. Apparently you'll get banged up for that. Yes, really.

Berrie · 14/01/2009 09:48

I googled light bulbs yesterday and you can buy 300watt bulbs online! They might have been american sites though.

Oggsdog · 14/01/2009 10:22

I can't remember the last time I used a 100w bulb, in such small rooms the effect would be somewhat like a floodlight .

Berrie, what about one of those track lights that have lots of spotlights on a track.

Berrie · 14/01/2009 10:24

Dh doesn't like them as the halogen bulbs use a lot of electricity. He is always threatening to change the one in the kitchen for a strip light.

Berrie · 14/01/2009 10:26

OOOOH have just realised the one in the front room is a 150 watt, am going to be gutted when that pops. Berrie scuttles off to re google light bulbs...

Oggsdog · 14/01/2009 10:36

Bloody hell, you lot are single handedly responsible for global warming

But I didn't have a bath today again....yet!

LyraSilvertongue · 14/01/2009 12:47

I have a bath running as we speak. I've been to a body torture pump class this morning, followed by a big Sainsbury's shop so I think I've earned it. Oh and I too stocked up on 100 watt light bulbs. Sorry Oggs.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/01/2009 13:09

Good for you. Are you hurting yet?

Oggsdog · 14/01/2009 13:37

What's a pump class?

I did my walk this morning but couln't walk on the track as it was too icy so I had to stumble along the verge .

LyraSilvertongue · 14/01/2009 15:05

Body Pump, Oggs. Exercise with weights. Not hurting yet but was weak as a kitten during the class thanks to flu episode.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/01/2009 19:15

Hurting yet?

LyraSilvertongue · 14/01/2009 23:56

No, still not hurting. I was using minimal weights though.
I have just come third from last in the inter-schools quiz with my hastily-flung-together-24-hours-notice team. At least we didn't come last.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/01/2009 11:43

Congratulations Lyra. You are clearly a genius.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/01/2009 12:05

Dammit. I've just been blown out for my drink tonight which means I have to go to Bikini Workout instead. Which means I have to go and buy a sports bra if I don't want 2 black eyes.

Berrie · 15/01/2009 14:31

I do admire you both for your committment to these torturous classes...I could never do it. The only aerobics class I ever went to was a post natal one, my pelvic floor just couldn't take it and I never went back...

Berrie · 15/01/2009 14:31

Drink Zeb?

Oggsdog · 15/01/2009 14:44

I'm glad I don't have a gym anywhere near me.

Bikini workout . The last time I wore a bikini was when I was about 13.

No walk today as I went shopping straight from dropping dd at school. Have just got back and am now fully stocked up with low carb meat and cheese.

Anyone have any good recipes for goat?

LyraSilvertongue · 15/01/2009 14:57

Now I'm hurting. Bloddy bicep curls. Groan.
I've just spent all afternoon having lunch with friends and not doing housework/DIY. Oops.

Berrie · 15/01/2009 17:15

Biceps curls eh?
I have never worn a bikini...good job!

LyraSilvertongue · 15/01/2009 18:52

I don't like bikinis either - it's like going out in your undies. And it's not an option now I have a post-babies crepe paper belly

Oggsdog · 15/01/2009 19:02

I'm not that keen on swimming costumes at the moment either - anybody know where they sell these?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/01/2009 21:59

Nope, I've never worn a bikini....ever. Nor have I any intention of it. A stupid name for a mean class. I hurt. But not as much as last week. Which I guess is progress.

Oggs, when you find a supplier, let me know!
