...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

There is no cure. All you can do is suffer through the infatuation affliction, until another suitable chap takes your fancy.... Yep, Zeb's voice of experience.... she wanders of to dream about Hugh & Rupert, humming happily. Remember, ahem, Lee?!!!!

Berrie · 07/01/2009 07:47

Oh no !!!
Poor Dd

Anything interesting happening to anyone today? The children have the dentist after school. I might take dd swimming today to prepeare her for her 1st swimming lesson on Thursday.
Went out with DH, MFL'sF and our mutual friend last night and had a lovely time. Laughed a lot and had a delicious meal. It was our last chance to get together before MFLF goes off to rehearse and then a 10 month tour. It starts up your way by the way Oggs. Bit too far for us to go though our mutual friend it determined to arrange it!

Berrie · 07/01/2009 07:48

Ooo missed you there Zeb!

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 08:06

Apparently L has got another album due out in March and when he finishes his run will be taking a complete break with DVO 'Somewhere hot ? hopefully the Caribbean' then 'After that, we?re going to LA. Denise has a place there and I?ve never been, so I?m really looking forward to it.?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/01/2009 08:08

Remind me Berrie, what's he doing?
Me? I'm going to drag myself into the shower in a minute, then go to work...

Later I'm going to look at a house share in the village where DS goes to pre-school. It sounds v promising (pretty Cornish granite cottage!) although DH is not keen on the idea of sharing with someone (28 yo girl) as it just adds to DS disruption. However, we shall see.

I spoke to someone else I know who lives in the village, and you'd need a diagram to figure out how everyone fits together. To give you some idea, the next door neighbours has 5 kids, one of whom is at pre-school with DS, whilst the lady of the house is the daughter of the neighbouring farmer to DH, and the girl whose looking for the housemate is the daughter of the best friend of the person I spoke to last night. Oh, and the owner of the house, I know through work, whose sister is married into another well known local 'family', who have another son who is also married to one of the offspriing of the neighbouring farmer. (He has A LOT of children).

Right, have you been keeping up?!!!

Anyway, all that aside, it looks like I know most of them all already, albeit at a distance, so it kind of depends on what the girl's like. Although another girlfriend last night did question what it would be like if I were to start 'courting' again. It will also cut my bills in half, although add to my car/travel expenses.

Answers on a postcard please.

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 08:31

Is it still the Bill Kenwright tour Berrie? You must go to see it if YFL'sF is in it.

Zeb would it mean that you would have DS more often. (Not quite sure how it is at moment. Is he w/ dh during week and you at w/ends? Does that mean dh is based at the farm now?)

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/01/2009 08:45

Oh dear. Is that the one with the blond one in it? It's coming to Plymouth. Do you mind if I give it a miss? unless, of course, you ladies fancy a night out?

And yes, DS is with DH at the farm during the week with the au pair. I then have him over the weekend, which actually works out a lot better as I now have 'quality time' (ugh) with him, which is brilliant, whilst getting on with work stuff and simply having a life during the week. This does also mean that I would potentially be able to have him sometimes during the week as well, or at least it makes it possible. That's why I want to move to this village (Constantine, near Falmouth, if you fancy looking it up.) Oh yes, DH is now pretty much full time at the farm for the time being. But I'm not sure how long that can be sustained given the current climate.... another reason for me to consider cutting my outgoings dramatically.

Berrie · 07/01/2009 09:27

He has a part in the touring Joseph. It is the Bill Knewright one but I don't think the new tour dates have been announced yet apart from the Scotish ones.
I won't be buying the Lee Cd...

Mmm,how would the 28 year old feel about having a little one around? Didn't keep up with the people at all Do you miss him a lot during the week?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/01/2009 09:57

My question exactly, but apparently she's the most adoring of aunties. We'll see.

And yes, I do miss him, but I don't think about it - if I did, I really would struggle to get out of bed in the morning. And he is genuinely loving looking after his pigs and chickens and chicks and cows. But he does always tell me how much he misses me.

Yeah, the cd. We'll see. It depends on what songs are on there. But I heard a version of I know him so well by John Barrowman and Daniel Boys which was really good (if a bit camp!)

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 14:15

Zeb, I'm sure ds would take it in his stride having a house-sharer around. What rooms would you actually be sharing?

Berrie, I'd love to see YFL'sF but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to stomach another Craig Woodfest.

Don't think I'll be buying the CD but agree with Zeb that I'll wait and see. Don't think it's covers - songs written for and by him.

Berrie · 07/01/2009 14:33

I can barely stomach it Can only do it for MFL'sF though I am secretly hoping for a backstage invite. As a teenager I was going to write to Jim'll Fix It to be a back stage person on the touring show. I wanted to be the person to tip the 'think' cloud sparkles over J's head. I was a serious groupie! As far as I could tell when a took my year group 3 years ago, it was the same shoddy set and props from 22 years ago. (though perhaps I sat too close)

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 14:35

Oh be prepared for shoddy. Especially after seeing the West End version .

LyraSilvertongue · 07/01/2009 14:49

So Zeb, what happened to the toyboy?

LyraSilvertongue · 07/01/2009 14:51

It's so weird here. I'm at home all day with NO CHILDREN. DS2 started full time school yesterday.
I should be doing housework atm (to catch up on what I didn't do when we were all ill over christmas) but I haven't actually done much at all tbh

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 16:02

It leaves you at a bit of a loose end to start with doesn't it .
Is ds2 enjoying it?

LyraSilvertongue · 07/01/2009 16:16

So far, yes. I'm missing having him around though.
I've put a Lapland photo album on my Facebook page if anyone's interested.

Binklesback · 07/01/2009 17:41

Hey gals!!!!!

I havent half missed you

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 18:53

Ooh Lyra, how was Lapland? Did the boys enjoy?

Wahey!!!!! Binkle!!!! Welcome back!

Boy have you got a lot of catching up to do

Guess what? I'm engaged!
I know. It's a surprise!

Keep it under your hat for now.

It's a bit hush-hush .......the groom-to-be doesn't even know yet!!! I'll be known as Mrs David Tennant

Binklesback · 07/01/2009 19:31

How is everyone then?? And ar you really engaged or is it just the usual fantasy lark? If so, I have a new man of choice - Jeremy Sisto...anyone??

Curly Raven Hair - check
Sparkly brooding eyes - check
furry in all the right places - check

Oh yes. Please

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/01/2009 19:32

Naughty Oggs - I nearly fell of my chair. Have you bought the t-shirt yet?

Binkle?! Hey, all the gang's here again. Zebs jumps up and down doing a little girlie dance

Right. Toyboy update. Errrm. Well it didn't work out in that way, but we are now mates, we just don't fancy each other. Which I'm fine with. He was also a tad too much like DH, which I really don't need.

I'm also back from seeing the cottage so now need to think about that. She was lovely, the cottage was cute, so I'm going over on Saturday morning with DS to see how that suits. Meantime, I think I'll sleep on it....

So Binkle, what's been happening with you?

Binklesback · 07/01/2009 19:36

Well.......

Deep breath...

Been working in the salon, new lease of life and all that, lost a bit of weight, got my groove back realised that me and dh are very badly suited...on the verge of splitting up as we speak. We are talking temporary separation. I couldnt be happier at the prospect at the minute. Financials maybe an issue. He is in a permanent sweat

Dd is fine. Mum is fine. Dog is fine ha.

Everyone doing ok on here?

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 19:54

Coo! Lots going on then Binkle. Glad you're happy and that dd, mum and mutt are fine too.
How's it going at the salon? Hydraulic stool all it's cracked up to be?

Only joking about the engagement to Mr Tennant... ... unfortunately .

Zeb, house sounds good. Hope all goes well on Sat.

Having to temporarily delay on the t-shirt and mug front due to extreme lack of funds following my Blackpool and Dr Who extravaganza . Haven't told dh and am on Postie vigil so I can intercept .

Binklesback · 07/01/2009 19:57

Oggs!! You came to Blackpool and didnt visit me???!

That hydraulic stool has been the making of me Salon is going well, though I wouldnt recommend buying a business about a month before a major recession sets in but hey...I am keeping myself in wax and massage oil so its all good so far.

So, toyboys, cottages, lapland...I have missed so much

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 20:03

Nooooo. I've been buying up David Tennant videos left, right and centre. Have major spotty teenager style crush like no other .
I wouldn't invade Blackpool without calling in on you .

Haven't heard of the one you mentioned. Who is he?

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 20:04

Lyra, Lapland looks fantastic!
