lol at pc plum, ds2 is running about (with no clothes on ) saying we've got trouble!! all cause he got one of the those playschool helmets thats like a policeman with flashing lights and sirens with a few phrases, from which ds2 has learnt the one, we've got trouble!

at leaset i knew where my fairy cakes were, just they had all the tops bitten off them.
dp has just requested i make some more cakes. let alone that i feel like crap again, no voice has turned into major sinusitis again. and im on a 9am till 7pm shift tomorrow. so im now making a big pot of chicken soup again and hope i feel better tomorrow as it's too much overtime to not go in for.

good luck with the house viewing pudding

ThePudding · 17/01/2009 15:42

eep
they were 10 mins late and I was starting to get very irritated as I had repainted, washed front windows, washed front door, washed garage door, scrubbed hall floor ( on my knees!) and kitchen floor, and scrubbed all kitchen cupboard doors. was knackered by the time they arrived. seemed nice enough, young, bit posh, but you never know.

theyd be mad to buy now unless v. urgent as market supposed to be devaluing by the hour (curse the media)

just been looking on rightmove to see if I like anything, saw 2 nice ish ones. would living in a bungalow with kids be really weird?

ThePudding · 17/01/2009 15:44

but would it be noisy for them at night?

the garden on the bung was lovely tho.

the other is a 4 bed semi. with dh working from home we'd need 4 beds as one would be an office for him.

just looking on rightmove reminds me how hideous some decorating is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why hasnt our hoose sold, its lovely

ThePudding · 17/01/2009 15:46

quite a few houses I nosed at looked at had tiny little paved over back garden spaces, with arty pots. sadly absolutely no room for running kids.

worley · 17/01/2009 15:48

my nan and grandad brought 4 children up in a 2 bedroom bungalow! my grandad still lives there now, where all 4 of them were born too.
my friend has just moved from a 5 bedroom detached house to a 3 bedroom bungalow, ready for when shes older (shes only just 40 lol!!) she seems to quite like it but then she has teenage boys so dont know if that makes a different. at least you dont have to worry about them falling down stairs etc.
there are lots of bungalows round here and they seem to only be on the market a few days and are sold, they dont hng about as people seem to like them here. but we do have a fair amount of londoners move up here to retire also for some reason. they come visit in the summer(its a seaside town)when theres lots going on then when they move in and its go winter and realise that nearly every thing shuts down and its miserable here in the winter, cold windy depressing. . .

worley · 17/01/2009 15:49

now off to right move to have a nose around too.. i love it

ThePudding · 17/01/2009 15:51

worley · 17/01/2009 15:54

near us,opp ds1's school
my oarents looked at this when it was built and as it was next to the livery yard i had this fantasy that i could ride our horse to school every day, leave her at my aunties (where there were paddocks) then walk the 5 mins to school. (i read to many Jinny books when i was younger you see) it never happend i was gutted they didnt move there, no wonder they were just going along with my little dream state..

worley · 17/01/2009 15:58

4 doors down from us, not many pictures though. an elderly couple live here

worley · 17/01/2009 16:01

come live opposite me our road is so old we have so many different types of houses in it

Jennster · 17/01/2009 17:02

this one is very near me, but they are having a laugh if they want anywhere near that price

Jennster · 17/01/2009 17:04

This is the one on the road behind where I am now. Still on the market, we viewed it but the garden was too noisey

Macdog · 17/01/2009 19:52

Blimey it's windy!
dh working tomorrow so we're off shopping then pizza express for lunch!

ThePudding · 18/01/2009 14:41

ha ha everyone loves rightmove!

Worley liked the multicoloured kitchen tiles in the one you posted

Jenn I could imagine you in the kitchen of the noisy garden one

blimey the 450k one is swagged to within an inch of its life but dont understand whats wrong with the (lounge?) carpet where it meets the kitchen.

everything I like in Wolverhampton seems to be a bit high priced, I think we've dropped ours too much tbh for what we really want to buy
If we dont get at least what its on for now we will leave it till well after this credit crisis rubbish

ThePudding · 18/01/2009 14:42

if you like reading horror/ghostly books, try The Birthing House by Christopher Ransom.
Absolutely graphic gruesome terrorising and lots of ghostly sex!

Macdog · 18/01/2009 17:04

FARK! Glasgow was cold!! Snow and everything!!

dd and I had lovely spree - got her some really nice stuff in New Look sale. Only found out recently that they do childrens clothing too. Got her new jeans and a baby version of this. Got her some funky t-shirts and leggings too.

Lovely lunch at Pizza Express to round off the day

OP posts:
Macdog · 18/01/2009 17:10

...and dd has learned a new word "Toddlebonny". Scots term of endearment. Has had her in stitches all day

Got my Burns night name on now!

worley · 18/01/2009 20:50

i didnt know new look do kiddies clothes!! our doesnt.

i just finished reading "twilight" and then the next one "new moon". the vampire books that they just turned into a film. my friend brought them in for me to read as her daughter just finished them, when she was telling me about them i must have looked quite interested as i wasnt expecting her to bring them in for me, so when she gave them to me i looked pleased and said thankyou... as you do.. and thought i'll leave it a few weeks and give them back. but then i was bored and thought i'd read one on weds when ds2 had his nap, ds1 at school at it was brilliant. i finished it that night. and read the next yesterday. i really enjoyed them. even if they are meant for teenagers!

but then i read all the vampire lestat books too by anne rice so i do like a nice vampire book!

TheTwaMacDugs · 18/01/2009 20:52

evenin' Worley!
I didn't know New Look did kids either. I found it while looking for the Fat Dept - sensibly the two are next to each other!!
Really fun mini-trendy stuff. Jeans were £5

Jennster · 18/01/2009 21:18

You see the house we have, has a kitchen twice the size of that one with an island and a woodburner too, oh and patio doors to the garden. I'd have bought it if it weren't for the noisy garden. In the end we got a much better house for the same price. An absolute bargain. Loads of original features. The cheaper house won't budge on price though. They love it and only want to sell to raise some money to build on the land they have in the Carribean. The more expensive house is not as good as this one, and is SOOOO overpriced it's unbelievable. What looks like the back garden is actually the front, as the back is on a busy road with no parking.

We have 2 New Looks with kids clothes, but I never have the chance to look round.

Went to Lancaster today where the weather was bitter. I expected it to snow but it didn't. We went for a pizza, but they don't have Pizza Express there.
