I just wanted to say I love Uwila and her straight talking honesty. If you don't like butt out! If you do, join this thread in praise of her.

OP posts:
JanH · 26/02/2005 16:00

Uwila lashes out like a kid in a playground - not worth worrying about really - but I agree with WWB anyway .

expatinscotland · 26/02/2005 16:07

I thought wobblyknicks was a clever nickname!

Ameriscot2005 · 26/02/2005 16:08

It would suit me rather well, as you know, EIS

expatinscotland · 26/02/2005 16:12

It would, Ameriscot. Mine would have to be 'wobblygrannypants' . Perhaps there is room for 'wobblythong' or 'wobblyboyshorts' - pending wobbly's permission, of coure .

Ameriscot2005 · 26/02/2005 16:23

Didn't you spot my high-waisters then?

expatinscotland · 26/02/2005 16:27

I did, Amscot. Thought you were Simon Cowell for a mo' there .

Ameriscot2005 · 26/02/2005 16:34

Actually, I had my Susannah Constatine magic knickers on that night...

expatinscotland · 26/02/2005 16:40

Hey, those were supposed to be MY secret! And I dare a/one who knocks 'em to try 'em - then slide into your Miss Sixty jeans and zip 'em up w/o even having to lie down!

You can be 'wobblygrannypants' and I'll be 'wobblyboyshorts' - my other secret, a way around VPL w/o having to resort to thongs.

PuffTheMagicDragon · 26/02/2005 16:44

Wobblyknicks has the best nickname on Mumsnet.

expatinscotland · 26/02/2005 16:46

It is pretty ace, eh? Definitely one to be imitated, says wobblyboyshorts-masquerading-as-EIS . I love the word 'knickers'! Miles over 'panties', which just sounds silly to me now.

RTKangaMummy · 26/02/2005 21:23

Uwilla

I think you have been very rude to Wobblyknicks

She is one of my best friends

I do not want to be one of your friends

Because I disagree with you on many many topics.

But if you are going to offensive to one of my friends with one of the best names on here

I think you are very rude

And anyway if you are going to be rude about her name What about yours?

So I will butt out as one of your friends have so delightfully said

And leave you to it

If you someone will back

But if you are you will get in return

.......

so I am tired of being with you so I will

.

Uwila · 26/02/2005 21:25

SO, you think that wobbly's comment to me was kind, then?

Lashing out in response, yes that's a fair point, I prbably do let my mouth loose when someone says somethin gto me that is out of line.

Someone started this thread as a nice gesture to me. And it has had more than it's share of people coming on to say I'm not worthy and make a joke of the whole thing. So, when someone actually goes on to point out that one of my few friends around here is not actually a credible friend after all... well, youknow I've had enough. I have a pretty thick skin, and I realise I invite the backlash with my willingness to open my mouth and say exactly what I think. But, even I have my limits and I do think that enough is enough....

Uwila · 26/02/2005 21:26

Uh, is there something rude about the word "Uwila". I suspect you don;t know it's meaning.

RTKangaMummy · 26/02/2005 21:27

So more often rather the

You will get more in return IMHO anyway

Toothache · 26/02/2005 21:28

ScummyMummy - Don't think Radio Rental is used as much as Chicken Oriental!

RTKangaMummy · 26/02/2005 21:29

?UWILA? , OWL WOMAN

Night is a portal, that ?Uwila? flies through,

Piercing ?night?space? and ?night?time? she?s free,

Free to perceive the other world with ?owl?light?.

Her owl?sight looks into the depths,

As a vision?quest for profound wisdom.

Uwila?s eyes have sacred power

With visual acuity surpassing all other beings.

An oracle of night Uwila sees beyond death

Into regeneration, they being inseparably linked.

Winged huntress catches power

For her shaman h?owlets who call their mother?s

Return to the nest.

Her face carved in Irish passage grave stela 6,000 years ago

She appears like a large labyrinthian vulva of regeneration.

Shamans in Bulgaria 7,000 years ago

Polished her black stone body, incised and white?encrusted it

With a labyrinth empowering Rebirth.

A whirling source of ever?new seeing

She births her eggs of future shaman h?owlets ? 6,500

Years ago ...

Uwila · 26/02/2005 21:35

Bit late for the smilies, Kanga. Do you think the things you've said here are nice? Actually, don't bother answering that. I guess there are threads where we all can find ourselves unwelcome, even when our names populate the thread title.

Uwila · 26/02/2005 21:35

and means simply "owl".

Toothache · 26/02/2005 21:36

Uwila - For goodness sake! I almost feel like I'm talking to a petulant teenager.... stop with the insults. To take a dig at someone for their posting name is laughable if not a tad petty. Who gives a shit?? You didn't start this thread..... the person who did has never reapeared so can't be THAT much of a support to you anyway. The starting of this thread is what I find particularly amusing.

The level of maturity has plummeted to: I'm not pals with anyone who likes you so nyaaaah nyaah nyaah nah nyaaaah nah! >sticking out tongue emoticon<

I mean jeeeeeeeeeeesus!

This thread was verging on lighthearted!! Hmmm. I know I let my mouth run away with me too. And Uwila, I too have been brought down a peg or 2 by quite a few MN'ers.

TGIFridaygirl.... doesn't look like you hit and run thread really helped Uwila after all!

sigh

velcrobott · 26/02/2005 21:38

applaud Tootache

velcrobott · 26/02/2005 21:38

tootHache

RTKangaMummy · 26/02/2005 21:38

SmileSmileSmile

Toothache · 26/02/2005 21:40

Uwila - And I assume the smileys and stuff are a few MN'ers trying desperately to smooth things over. If you are not willing to play ball and move on... then what?? Are you just going to stay angry at everyone forever??? In RL we have fallouts and things blow over.... as here...

Although, I have to admit that there are one or 2 grudges I still hold to a couple of MN'ers!

collision · 26/02/2005 21:41

RTKangaMummy...I have been looking for you!!

I didnt realise your name was short for Radio Times Kanga Mummy! I always read it as RT (as in Arty) and thought you must be very good at craft and art and making things!!

I did wonder how you were the TV guru though!! LOL Now it all makes sense.
