I just wanted to say I love Uwila and her straight talking honesty. If you don't like butt out! If you do, join this thread in praise of her.

Uwila - FWIW the only problem I have is with TGI starting this thread.... no problem with you. I don't think anyway... but I am a bit stocious!

Like I mentioned before, there was a thread started ages ago (like 2 yrs ago) asking me not to leave MN after I'd had a big argument and had felt really picked upon (and I flounced). Anyway, I got more of a slating coz of that thread than about the original fall out!!!!

I wasn't happy.

Toothache · 25/02/2005 21:29

WWB - 48K Noooooooooooo! I'd love a squeeze on them!!!

One of my friends is an H cup. I've always been fascinated as I'm not 'blessed' in that department! I went up to a B+ when i was BF'ing.

WigWamBam · 25/02/2005 21:30

They're very squeezable ... not sure I would call them a blessing, but hey ho!

Chandra · 25/02/2005 21:30

Uwila, I think nobody has said anything against you, in any case was against TGIFr's start to this thread. NOw that several lovely scotts have found a cosy heaven in this thread, is another point, though I guess it's owed to the welcoming nature of MUmsnet.

edam · 25/02/2005 21:31

Uwila, no idea what's gone on here, been too busy for MNing, but hope you are OK.

WigWamBam · 25/02/2005 21:31

And a Brummie, don't forget the Brummie!

charleypops · 25/02/2005 21:32

WWB I apologise if I misread. I'm glad I misunderstood, because I have been humbled by your balanced fair postings in the past.

Maybe I'm being over sensitive in the light of the past couple of days, but I just thought we'd moved on from all the June thread stuff - there have been two threads discussing 2 defensive heat-of the-moment comments which gave people not in June thread the impression that univited posting was not welcome. This happened to be on the same day that we were musing among ourselves how cosy and nice it is there. Which it is.

The former comments have been apologised for by the protagonists and graciously accepted. The rest of the June people made efforts anyway to say that the June thread is not exclusive. Which, I'll say again, it isn't.

I am just really really sad about this whole episode. I am not confrontationalist at all and HATE arguments. I just felt I had to say something here because I worry about how very easy and convenient to lump people together and pigeonhole them and felt that I this was directed at me.

I'm not tring to distance myself by the way from ANY of the June thread - if you're reading -x- and Uwila, I of course am your friend

RTKangaMummy · 25/02/2005 21:35

I rest things on mine

do you too?

WigWamBam · 25/02/2005 21:36

Yes, I do . Although usually they're somewhere around knee level so it's difficult.

Toothache · 25/02/2005 21:38

My 3rd chin rests on my breests at the moment. Hoping that a fat removal fairy will sort all that out for me. Denial? me? NOOOO!

Uwila · 25/02/2005 21:40

Uh... Chandra, with all due respect I'd have to be a bloomin' idiot to think there aren't many people on this site who don't like me. In fact if I were to balnace those who do like me with those who don't, the scales would be a tad bit lop sided.

But, you know it's a fair point to say that I have definite opinions and that I tend to air them even when it may cause offense.

Oh I suppose it doesn't really matter at the end of day. I have upset some, and they have upset me. But, life goes on... there are far more important things in life than my popularity on mumsnet.

Although, I am still touched by some who came to defend me in the middle of the mumsnet battle zone.

WigWamBam · 25/02/2005 21:41

Only three chins? You're not doing too badly then

RTKangaMummy · 25/02/2005 21:41

I think they are useful

No idea how ones like "acorns" get though the day?

Please can you remind me who that was?

WigWamBam · 25/02/2005 21:42

Bunglie!

RTKangaMummy · 25/02/2005 21:44

I was thinking it was but wasn't 100% and after the WK + PS episode I didn't want to do it again

Toothache · 25/02/2005 21:44

Ah now WWB - I just said my 3rd chin rests on my breests.... didn't say where the 4th 5th and 6th settled!

RTKM - Acorns? Eh?

RTKangaMummy · 25/02/2005 21:46

It was a nickname for Bunglie

We have 46G and she has acorns

soapbox · 25/02/2005 21:46

Uwila - I don't think you are as disliked as you think you are

People might find your views a little forthright at times - but that doesn't make you a terrible person at least IMHO!

You do have a tendency to brazen things out though, which when you have offended people may seem a little antagonistic.

FWIW - people were genuinely upset at your comments on the other thread and in the awful circumstances that led to the comments being made I think people just wanted you to say sorry!

Chandra · 25/02/2005 21:50

Uwila, I really don't understand what it's going on in this thread (never seen something like this in Mumsnet before). But if it helps... something that I found good and bad of mumsnet is that no matter how good or bad your comments have been to other posters, people forget about them. I have been told lovely things and things that I have really resented, but I'm sure most of the people who said lovely or bad things had forgot they were directed to me, in the same way I suspect people forgets about what I say. {{{hugs}}

Uwila · 25/02/2005 21:54

Probably best to leave it alone and let you all talk about your acorns and chins...

Ta ta for now...

Toothache · 25/02/2005 21:55

I never forget Chandra! >manic

hercules · 25/02/2005 21:56

I didnt want to post here as i hate these types of threads. That's nothing to do with you, Uwila. I do disgree with lots of what you say but that's irrelevant.
The beauty of mumsnet is that we all have different views and it's not a question of liking or disliking anyone.
I enjoy reading different opinions on things and love a good barney.
I certainly dont dislike you, i dont know you for one thing. It would be a great loss to mumsnet if someone with strong opinions left.

hercules · 25/02/2005 21:56

agree with soapbox.

whymummy · 25/02/2005 21:56

toothache, didn't i start the come back M2T thread?by the way i never got to cash the cheque

RTKangaMummy · 25/02/2005 22:00
