I think iota was right, the other thread was a self-fulfilling prophecy. Not just in the sense of returning a compliment but in the sense that you would see someone's name on there and that triggered a memory, and then you post it. There are just so many names on here! I guess if I was tested I would remember random facts about lots of people, but it was just whatever sprang to mind on that thread. There are also a few people who have unusual professions like me, and that tends to get remembered.
