....well I suppose gutted is a bit strong a word! I must be hormonal, but there have been a few that have posted looooong lists of Mumsnetters they know and I've thought I 'know' them quite well..... but zilch, nowt, nyaddah, nuffink!

I'm off to be irrationally miffed. Hmph...

I was only remembered for being gobby or being JT's dd!!!

Apart from that I was remembered for having 3 boys, mostly by others with 3 boys!

I remember lots about lots of people but my memory is crap so not everyone came to mind - those I mentioned were probably those I speak to most or have spoken to most recently.

I tend to remember that I 'like' someone too or I remember their general 'personality' or 'type of viewpoint' rather than specifics about them.

I remember you lived in Sale and went to Leeds GDG

And I remember that you and JT have access to that emporium of culinary excellence Booth's
Ha ha, Toothache. I should think the residents of Seascale, having put up with questionable pollution levels all this time, will find the aroma of Bovril the very last straw

Toothache · 22/02/2005 10:23

WWW - You were one of the first to ever post to me! In fact, you might actually have been the 1st when I posted about my PND. You're posting name always stuck in my memory.

Joolstoo and Gdg,

Oh dear I offended you with the gobby remark. I did qualify it by saying that you are very likeable, and what I meant by gobby is that you are both straight talkers (which is something I generally appreciate)

handlemecarefully · 22/02/2005 10:50

And just to give rickman a little sootheing stroke. I enjoyed the thread too (I learnt some interesting stuff), but at the same time worried a little about bruised egos. How is that for contradictory ambivalence.

alibubbles · 22/02/2005 15:24

I can only remember things about people who haven't changed their names, bar a couple. I don't have a clue who lots of the names are anymore. I can name them from the frequency they post, but don't recall anything significant about them!

But I thinbk I know who one of the name changes is on this thread, just by what she has said about what someone mentionned briefly about her, I may be wrong.

Slinky · 22/02/2005 15:31

No - not gutted, I have to say I'm pleased

I come on here for a bit of fun - not really to make friends, I would never go to a "meet-up", nor do I disclose personal details - I think I've disclosed where I live, but I've never (on ANY website) said what my real name is, my childrens names etc.

Blu · 22/02/2005 15:53

I was thinking about this last night. I do remember heaps and heaps of incidents and posts, and also names, but tend to remember the two together when it's people who post at the same times as me, and on the same kinds of threads. It's made me realise that I don't 'know' anyone on the ante-natal threads etc.
I also didn't post any 'serious' knowledge - lots of things I remember about a whole wide range of MN-ers aren't necessarily the sort of thing you'd bring up out of context on a joky thread - problems they had etc.

iota · 22/02/2005 15:55

800 odd messages on "that" thread and still no-onre remembers me - I'm gonna post about myself. That'll show them

Blu · 22/02/2005 15:56

And Slinky - i do remember your name was on a thread responding to something that had been deleted - a poster called something like tex113 who had previously been asking about his girlfriend vanessa. The he started a new thread, and your name was there, but his post had been deleted. You had just put OMG or something.Whatever did he say? I felt a bit sick because I had posted in good faith on his first thread...

iota · 22/02/2005 15:59

right that's done - I'm famous too now

why don't the rest of you try it?

iota · 22/02/2005 16:08

come on - don't let me and Lunavix be the only weirdos

lunavix · 22/02/2005 16:11

I decided if noone else knew me I'd know me!

Now we know each other

SleepyJess · 22/02/2005 16:18

LOL Lunavix! Well me too.. I just read throught that whole thread.. and posted info about people that I remembered, which wasn't much, because I have such a bad memory that I only remember random stuff... like events.. and names.. but not with the events linked TO the names, lol! And I have only been around about 3 - 4 months and don't post all the time - and then nowt very interesting..so I don't know why I was thinking 'I wonder if anyone will remember me!' What a sad puppy, lmao!!!

It is like school sports terms though.. I never got picked for those either.. but I like to think that was because I was completely sh*t at sport!!

turquoise · 22/02/2005 16:24

Haven't had time to read all these various threads but just wanted to say I posted a few random facts as they popped into my head. I thought it was meant not to be about people we "know" IYKWIM and I also thought if I mentioned all the people and facts that I remember I would clearly out myself as a total wierdo.
