Just signed - and suggested "Breakfast clubs" too. Far too many kids in school without an adequate breakfast inside them.
Now - just need to find a petition for improving nutrition in hospitals.

The Food Programme with Jamie was repeated today - you can listen again on the link - oh he was wonderful, esp when he told himself off for ranting and stomped off talking to himself!

You'd never guess who we have to blame for the parlous state of school dinner provision, dinner-lady-Jools. I'll give you a clue...1980...

JanH · 21/02/2005 19:44

I mentioned this on the other Jamie thread but, quite apart from its other iniquities, DS2's school charges 15p for one toasted slice of a value loaf.

have signed, I agree wholeheartedly moondog, having also read the book and listened to Polly Toynbee talk about this issue - but at least something may be done.

I have been up to absolutley nothing she says rather hastily.

Glad to see my witty and insightful mumsnet offerings have penetrated your consciousness!

I do post on here but have had problems with my internet access since moving my study upstairs so took a mumsnet break for a few months, but am back.

moondog · 21/02/2005 23:46
