Gd'Af'noon
Tee hee yes I am going to see Dr Who and Jean Luc Picard in Hamlet I'm afraid I'm taking dh but should he leave me for some bit of totty I'll let you know.
I'm not feeling so good but I'm not bad enough to not know when I'm being boring so I'll not go on.

Oggs, when do you come to your parents again?

Berrie · 22/07/2008 14:42

Where did you go for your day out Zeb?

oggsfrog · 22/07/2008 15:35

Berrie from what I can see the tube does run but it may be a reduced service. You should be fine with a bit of planning.
I'm very . Is it on in London? I thought it was Stratford.
I'm flying down (with dd) to Bournemouth on Monday and staying down until 9th August.
Sorry you're feeling a bit down, if you need to chat you know where I am .

Zeb, glad you had a good week off. I bet it was nice to get back to your own space .
I fear you may be right about Mr Jackman's smoking . Ah well, as long as he brushes his teeth and uses mouthwash I'd still be up for a tumble with him should he feel the need

Lyra, what did you get for the teacher with the collection? I wouldn't have a clue. Dd is the only one in her year, and with under 10 pupils in the whole school it's a different scenario entirely.
Do you buy presents for all of ds's teachers or just one?

I suspect Binkle is up to her eyes in bikini waxes and dermabrasions etc.
I hope it's working out well for her. I suppose this is a busy time of the year.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 22/07/2008 15:52

What day out? Sorry, me confused. If we're talking about last Friday, the weather was rubbish so we only ended up going to Gwithian Beach for about 20 minutes. Brrrrr. And can't you dump hubbie for an evening, Berrie? How interested is he in boring old Shakespeare anyway? I bet he'd rather be in the pub.

Oggs, as an unreformed smoker so far, I think it would be too much to ask you to even consider snogging Hugh. I also watched North & South again last night, Mr Armitage does still have a certain something. Can't wait for Spooks to start again - him AND Rupert P-J. Just fab.....

LyraSilvertongue · 22/07/2008 16:15

Lots of Sanctuary Spa stuff in some very pretty boxes. We've got the same for the two teachers and the TA.
I've still got £38 to spend. Not sure what to buy. A bottle of champagne each? Flowers?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 22/07/2008 16:39

Valium?

Berrie · 22/07/2008 17:58

Gasp... Rupert PJ's, he can spook me anytime...did you see him in Persuasion?

Berrie · 22/07/2008 17:59

Lyra..either.

Berrie · 22/07/2008 18:01

Oggs, it was sold out at Stratford but is transferring for a couple of months. My brother has agreed to have a New Year's Eve do and we will stay there. Yippee!

oggsfrog · 22/07/2008 19:41

Oh that's good Berrie. Hope you have a brilliant time, will you be able to leave dc with your db?

Berrie · 23/07/2008 07:28

That's the idea.
I thought your parents were in the Cotswolds Oggs. Are they not?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/07/2008 09:52

Today's Telegraph Berrie.

oggsfrog · 23/07/2008 09:53

Nope. Wiltshire.
Dd's really looking forward to the flight as it will be the first time she's flown.
Trouble is it's an 8:15am flight which will mean us leaving home at about 5am . Poor dh - it's his birthday the day before .

Off to buy chick crumbs this morning (I say this morning, but it takes almost 2 hours to get there so will be the whole day gone ) with a quick diversion to the wool shop .

Dh is busy constructing a deluxe hen house, the love.
We're thinking of having a total cull of present stocks and getting just one breed - about 8 hens and one cockerel.
We'll see . I've grown quite attached to this rag-tag mangy lot .

oggsfrog · 23/07/2008 09:56

Ooh, Berrie you are lucky .
Which theatre is it on at?

Berrie · 23/07/2008 11:23

The Novello.

Thanks very much Zeb. I'm even more excited now! Can't wait!

Isn't Wiltshire the Cotswalds then?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 23/07/2008 13:22

I don't know why I'm telling you this Berrie, but Rupert P-J is on tv tonight and tomorrow.

Berrie · 23/07/2008 17:25

Oh Joy!
Did you see him on Top Gear?

oggsfrog · 23/07/2008 18:36

I don't know Berrie

LyraSilvertongue · 23/07/2008 21:28

Wiltshire isn't the Cotswolds AFAIK. It's more Gloucestershire way isn't it?
School's broken up at last - hurrah!!!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 24/07/2008 09:12

I've now recovered from Rupert's naked bum,, which was rather nice.
Now I'm planning a cocktail party for my new flat. So, if any of you are in Cornwall at the end of August, you're more than welcome. And any recommendations for posh cocktails and canapes are also welcome!

Berrie · 24/07/2008 09:20

Ooo, I'll look forward to that, I have it recorded.
DD climbed out of her cot last night and came downstairs for the first time last night
Dh and I are off to ikea tonight to buy ds a bed and she'll have his. Am soooo tempted to get bunk beds so that I can use dd's bedroom as an office come clothes pile come junk room but it would be too hard to make ds have his inhaler when he needs it but is half asleep. decisions decisions!

LyraSilvertongue · 24/07/2008 22:29

Berrie, can you not have two beds in the one room? DSs share and they each have a short single bed.
Zeb, I can highly recommend Mai Tais. My favourite cocktail.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 25/07/2008 09:24

I like champagne cocktails, but they give me the worst hangover. Someone else is offering to make Mohitos, and margaritas are always good. I guess if I buy gin, vodka, brandy, white rum (yuck) and tequila that covers all bases. Then I just make sure I have a LOT of mixer stuff to go with it. I even have a chocolate liquer thingy somewhere for the chocaholics.
I also have a blender which helps.

Anyone got any exciting plans for this weekend. Apart from second helpings of Rupert's bottom later tonight, of course.

Berrie · 25/07/2008 09:42

Tee hee, sounds like a recipe for a grim next day!

Dd climbed out of cot several times for Grandma last night She eventually went to sleep in our bed and fell out onto the floor with an almighty crash. I think that I will take her cot away and she can sleep on the matress until the bed is made.

We are getting together in Oxfordshire tomorrow with extended family. Last year we visited the naked gardeners' garden but I don't know what treats are in store this year. I need to make a cheesecake, I mustn't forget! On Sunday it will be bed building.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 25/07/2008 15:21

This is a GREAT poster Berrie. I think I might have to buy it, frame it and put it in my kitchen. I'm just getting soooo jealous.
