Hi Tinkerbellchelle, I haven't heard from MOT yet and I applied on the 13th.In the meantime I got a call from UA and we have the consultation tomorrow. I had a peek at your ds's pics and he looks gorge.
Maybe try going to the consultation with Rascal's and then make a decision

Hi Luce good luck with your UA consultation tomorrow - fingers crossed.
I have been to see rascals before when we first started looking when he was much younger but for whatever reason ( dont actually remember ) didnt go with them, so not sure.
I think for the ease I might go for the photo shoot with bubblegum and give it time with them and him having his pictures and then seeing.
Do you have a DD or DS? How old are they? Have they modelled before or is this new? DS has had a couple of castings but thats it - so still in a sense new to us LOL!

I have a ds who's 22 months.He's been with BK since he was 8 months old but with no luck.He had a casting for Clarks two weeks after we joined them and then nothing until January this year when he filmed an ident for the BBC.On the modelling side, he did modelled for two photographer's personal projects but nothing serious and nothig through BK so I could say he too hes nwe to this.He's now going to take part in a project commisioned and founded by the European Union but ,again, this has nothing to do with BK.I am going to wait and see how it goes with UA and then I'll make up my mind n what to do

mygirlsmum, we were there last week, its a small side street off of new oxford street, near to the my old dutch pancake place, there is a costa coffee shop on the corner too.

so coming out of tottenham ct road station you would walk away from oxford street and all the shops, , i'm so crap at giving directions, i'm sure someone else must be able to give better ones, the transport for london website are quite good, their map will be clearer than my directions! its not far from the station though.

Luce - my friend said about that european project and gave me the email address to apply to so did that and my DS is going to be doing it aswell

Tinkerbellechelle - I have 2 girls with Bubblegum aged 7 and 4. We have been with them for over a year now and have had some good castings from them including Next and Tomy. However it has been very slow for us though this year so am feeling a bit disheartened! But on the whole I think they are a good agency and worth sticking with. Hope this helps!

Re the project I am so happy your ds got chosen as well!! on the 5th they're going to use my ds for a test shoot.I got an email this afternoon asking if I was willing to take him to the University cause they need to test cameras and lights and they wanted a child to test them with.We'll be filming just on the 23rd cause we're off to see my family in Italy on the 24th . Do you know when they're going to shoot with your ds?

Hi all, I applied to an agency for dd basically on a whim and have had 2 calls from them, saying they are interested in her look, would like to discuss making an offer etc and to call them back.

What would they say on the phone and what would happen next? Any advice muchly appreciated, not even sure dd would be very good at it, she's very erm energetic and headstrong lol.

2 calls sounds like models direct, if it is dont do it! they are such a big scam, dont pay them any money.

Hi, I've got the consultation for dd at UA today. Bit nervous, anyone who has been in the last couple of days tell me what to expect, and how long you were there?

3cats, we were there yesterday, not for an assesment but just our regular updates, we were there all in all about 40 mins, but that included chatting! it will all be very relaxed, there will prob only be the owner (Alysia) photographer (Danny) and the stylist (Lisa), your dd/ds will be measured, then have face washed, hair brushed, snot check , I think on some kids they might put a bit of powder/concealer, not much, then dd/ds will have photos taken, you will get to see them on the computer after, thats it!
I think you hear within about a week if they are being offered a contract

we are there at 12 today to have ds pictures updated .Better leave in a min or we are going to be late

Had the consultation today at 12.30 and wasn't at all like I imagined it....
The owner wasn't there and the guy,Rupert wasn't very chatty at all.
There were 4 kids before my ds and the photographer took loads of pictures of all of them.
When it was my ds's turn he only took 3 pictures and he said he was a natural in front of the camera and that those 3 pictures were good for him.
My partner,Dave thinks that we're going to get a letter with a straight no after having a quick chat with Rupert.He said that he can tell when a person is laying to him
Oh well,at least we did get to the consultation this time!!

Luce2006 ..Ive just looked at your ds photo's
and i think you were waiting to go in as we were coming out.Your ds is gorgeous.ds is 9 and dd is 12 she had a orange top on.
she shouldnt have had her pictures taken today as she had hers updated last time ,but they did some brother and sister ones.
I hope your ds gets a yes as i find them a great agency.

I have to say that the photographer was a really nice guy and we chatted a bit while he was taking ds' pictures.Do you think it is possible to buy them? One of them was absoutely gorgeous and I would love to have it!!!
I am still a bit gutted that nothing went like the way they put it on the email they sent.No chat about the modelling world or what is going to happen next...I don't know,maybe it's just me but I really had the feeling like Rupert wasn't at all interested in my ds being there.He did try to explain to ds how he was supposed to behave but my ds, being 22 months and VERY ACTIVE,wasn't having none of it and started to complain.He did behave tho when Lisa wiped his face and did smiled to the photographer when asked( ok just for 5 seconds but he managed to take the 3 pictures in those 5 seconds).The photographer seemed very happy with the pics,showed them to me and put them straight on the pc.

marymay: I forgot to add that I can't remember a girl with an orange top. I remember a couple with two small boys getting out the studio while we were getting in and two women with a boy aroud 5 and a little girl around three
