Jack has resurfaced on Twitter, changed her user name and has said that a hacker has been deleting some of her tweets while she's been having a physical and mental breakdown. She also says that she hasn't been able to access funds from her Patreon for nearly a year because it was hacked and she was locked out of it. Does anyone believe her?

What a weird post to start. What has she done to you? Stirring the pot and targeting someone with known mental health issues isn’t a good look. Keeping your nose out is the path to a long and peaceful life.

Good point. But her Patreon appears to be still going, with people still donating money each month. Their choice I know, but it seems very dishonest of her to be taking money and providing absolutely nothing in return.

In hindsight, it appears she is being paid rather a lot for this job she is clearly unqualified for. And remembering where the funds to pay such a person come from, I for one do not want my tax pounds going on someone who has ruthlessly shafted many. She needs to be moved into a more menial non political role more suited to someone on her education level. As for those defending her in any way, think yourselves lucky you haven’t been on the receiving end of any of her antics. Of which there have been a lot. And she should shut that Patreon.

You can do a degree in Public Policy/Public Service/Governance and Public Policy as well as MA in public policy in various iterations and the JD also has X number of years experience as equivalent.

The bigger issue here is that Southend Council has discussed creating three of these posts, one for Labour, one for Tories and one for LibDem. It was then scrapped as an idea. Then one post has been created and appointed and it's unclear if open recruitment was followed. This was first raised last week by another elected member who is a Reform Cllr but used to be Tory leader and leader of the council. Jack appears to have claimed she could have him sacked from his day job in a London council. There also questions about what the role entails as if Jack is a Policy advisor and non political then why is she emailing on behalf of the Leader and has access to his inbox. A task which would usually be performed a political assistant on a lower salary.

“She needs to be moved into a more menial non political role more suited to someone on her education level.” This is about the most foul thing I have read on MN for a while. Would you rather she had been to Eton?

You're very invested in this. I thought she barely got GCSEs and had no a levels let alone a degree.
For anything above an admin job in the public sector these days you generally need a degree, never mind A levels. And certainly I would expect a policy advisor to have some relevant academics.

No, I’d rather she had the correct qualifications and impartiality for the role she is undertaking. I had a far less affluent upbringing than she did, in fact I’m very working class, I’ve lived in poverty and taken no handouts from anyone. Nor have I grifted my way through life. I’ve worked hard and got a very high education and a job suited to that. I expect the same from anyone else.
