Berrie · 04/03/2008 11:50

Go on with you...grapefruit...bet you had cjocolate croissants

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 04/03/2008 11:53

I'd like you to know I don't actually like chocolate croissants.... I do on the other hand luurrrvvvvve grapefruit. It's the porrridge without anything that was the hardship

MrsSeanSlater · 04/03/2008 11:55

Did 20 minutes of laps then 15 minutes in the jacuzzi.
I feel really good. I should exercise more often.

oggsfrog · 04/03/2008 12:10

This morning? Already?
That said, I was chopping wood at 10 past 7 this morning
It does actually make you feel better doesn't it Lyra? Release of endorphins or somesuch. Natural high.

MrsSeanSlater · 04/03/2008 12:11

It does. Better than the ADs in some ways but the effects don't last as long.

oggsfrog · 04/03/2008 12:19

Ads. Bugger. I'd forgotten about them....
I've not had one since last Wed . Seems daft to start again. I have got 2 months supply though . What to do, what to do...

MrsSeanSlater · 04/03/2008 12:21

Have you not been feeling weird not taking them? I thought there were all kinds of side effects.

Zebedeedoodah · 04/03/2008 14:46

Eff off Oggs, I'm not 40 for another 12 months!

Zebedeedoodah · 04/03/2008 14:48

But I'll forgive you if you post up some links to lots of gorgeous happy b'day photos for me to ogle all day tomorrow

Oh, and side effects of not taking ADs - last week I was very very dizzy and queasy having gone 10 days without. I think Berrie said she also got palpitations when she did the same, so be careful.

Berrie · 04/03/2008 15:52

She speaketh the truth, Zeb the the wise one...must be because she's so OLD!

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 04/03/2008 16:34

Does this make me one of Lee's 'middle aged women'?

oggsfrog · 04/03/2008 19:16

Sorry Zeb Anyone in particular you'd like to ogle?

No, I've never had side effects when I stop taking them. In fact everytime I've come off them it's because I just forget to take them then think now I've stopped it's not worth starting again just so I can be weaned off them slowly

binkleandflip · 04/03/2008 20:39

howdee all!!

It feels so good to be back! Have only skimmed the thread - I have missed so much - but wanted to start by harumphing at Lee's middle-age comment Does he know how old his girlfriend is??? Not too much younger than us so there!!

I want to join in on weigh-in too please - I ate like an absolute pig on holidays - on one day I succumbed to the culinary 'pleasure' of a little snack of chips smothered in cheese, sour cream and bacon and was promptly sick all night - it was a bit of turning point for me I have to say ..so I have returned home bloated and feeling a bit rubbishy and determined to knuckle down diet wise so I can get the best out of my workouts (first one since getting back is tomorrow - am dreading it!) I am going to do low-carb, low-sugar route I think

So which day is weigh-in?

Oh and just to acknowledge without going on about it - Lyra, very sorry about your news, as you know the same happened to me last year so I know how you feel. Hope you are getting ok

Berrie · 04/03/2008 21:40

Way Hey! Binkle is back...it's not been the same without you.
I think it is obvious that you have not had time to read the thread properly...the weigh in has become a bit of a joke but it's today!
Did you have a good time?

OP posts:
MrsSeanSlater · 04/03/2008 22:02

Welcome back Binkle!! Hope yu had a fab time.

binkleandflip · 04/03/2008 23:17

oops, I think I will start next Tuesday with the weighing then

Had a great time thanks, very busy and long days though so very tiring. Thankfully we didnt spend every day ensconced in 'disney magic' (cynical old git that I am!!) I do like the rides but it all gets a bit saccharin-y for me after two hour wait to meet Ariel...anyway we made it down to Miami and the everglades which was amazing and a few trips to the beach too so a lovely mixed bag really. I hated the flights, naturally, dd and dh slept all the way home but obviously I could not afford to sleep having the important job of monitoring every squeak and rattle of the plane to fret over all the way home I do wish I could stop treating it like I have treated death YET AGAIN everytime we land in the uk and just relax and enjoy it but I;m not there yet. We have those free flights to NY at the end of March too which I am just not looking forward to - I am such a boring old homebird!!

In other news, I have just sent off for some Frownies to attend to my ever-furrowing brow - never more noticeable than posing next to a bloody flawless teenage mermaid

MrsSeanSlater · 04/03/2008 23:54

What are Frownies?
If you don't want the flights to NY we'll take them off your hands. The sacrifices I make for you, eh.

binkleandflip · 05/03/2008 00:06

these are they:

www.frownies.co.uk

I know, considering what I am trained as I should know better - but I feel like they're no worse an investment that creams and stuff that dont work either. Good for the laugh factor too !! As for the NY flights - I have tried to get dh to go with a friend with my blessing but he wont have it

Berrie · 05/03/2008 07:06

Tee hee Binkle. Let us know how you go on with those!

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 05/03/2008 08:43

Morning

Welcome back Binkle (for some reason I had you at Disneyland in France ) Pah! You a homebody .

Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to Zeb

MrsSeanSlater · 05/03/2008 08:54

Oggs, it's me that's going to Disneyland in France. We're going next month if DS1's new passport arrives in time.

oggsfrog · 05/03/2008 08:57

D'oh! I get all you jet-setters confused . Swimming this morning Lyra?

MrsSeanSlater · 05/03/2008 09:00

No, I'm going to make a cup of tea and some hot crumpets with butter and watch The Wright Stuff for the next hour. Then we've got friends coming for lunch so I've got to make pizza dough and clean up the house a bit.
DP is paying the price for banning me from washing his shirts. He completely ran out of clean ones so had to get up extra early this morning to wash and iron them. Serves him right!

Berrie · 05/03/2008 09:04

OH YEAH HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZEB!!!!

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 05/03/2008 09:05
