Over here! (Berrie waves)

Well I used it on a cheap nasty chest of drawers made of an old tea chest It may now finally collapse as I think it was the dust and cobwebs holding it together.

Binkle - go for it. Corrie ain't my viewing of choice, but then I've got Jake to look forward to later, but you can't beat the sofa and jamas (very Bridget Jones )
I'm now trying to talk myself out of buying a bottle of wine to help it along. DH is also away for the weekend.

Berrie · 08/02/2008 13:55

Ah the Friday night bottle of wine alone or not dilemma...I know it well, have not bought one yet though!

Berrie · 08/02/2008 13:56

I bet the tea chest is made of wood though rather than melamine coated chipboard!

I'm only watching it for Lovely Liam (oh, turns out I can manage some perving after all )

Berrie · 08/02/2008 13:59

When we moved in there was a wall covered in cork tiles and mirror tiles depicting a delightful water mill scene....it had to go but the wadrobes, as yet, remain...Now of course I can't think why...what on earth did we spend two salaries on when we had them?

Zebedeedoodah · 08/02/2008 14:01

True. But I bet my bedside table isn't

Zebedeedoodah · 08/02/2008 14:03

Mirror tiles I can match you on the cork tiles though. We finally ripped them out before Christmas. Along with the chocolate brown stair carpet and hesian wallpaper. But the avocado bathroom is still with us.

Berrie · 08/02/2008 14:07

...ah hessian wallpaper, those were the days!

Did well at Oxfam yesterday... I can have Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in XMen, Antonio Banderas as Zorro, Ron Perlman as Hellboy or Kurt Russell as Snake Pliskin in Escape from LA ... decisions, decisions.

oggsfrog · 08/02/2008 16:46

Wipe Zorro. Although Antonio combined with Freesian horse has it's attractions, I cannot bear to watch the decidedly wooden Zeta Jones bint

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 17:20

Bleurgh. Drank far too much last night and didn't manage to make it home under my own steam {shock]. I don't remember being driven home at all. i really must stop doing this...

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 17:21
Shock
binkleandflip · 08/02/2008 17:22

Lyra, you're ace

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 17:26

I think some of the others were a little merry too.
Everyone said I was good entertainment. Don't like the sound of that at all.

oggsfrog · 08/02/2008 18:51

Suppose you won't be drinking tonight then Lyra . I on the other hand have had enough of this silly lent business and have bought myself some whisky and ginger

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 19:10

Oggs!

oggsfrog · 08/02/2008 19:22

I know, I know .
Thing is both dh and I have really cut down on what we drink (not that you'd know it from the amount I put away in London ). He only drinks now on a Fri and Sat night, so I've decided to follow his example.
Just got to decide what to watch.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 19:23

I will be drinking coca cola only. Not a drop of alcohol will pass my lips. Bleurgh.

oggsfrog · 08/02/2008 19:26

Ooh. My mum sent me a couple of vids. I've got the Lee documentary , the last two episodes of Robin Hood and the Billy Piper/Phillip Pullman thing that followed on from Ruby in the smoke.

I've just been explaining to dh how Fri and Sat night are action/ adventure nights, and period drama type things are Sunday night viewing.

oggsfrog · 08/02/2008 19:33

Is it too early for a whisky? (Rhetorical question only )

Aw, poor Lyra. Is your head still bad? this might take your mind off it

Berrie · 08/02/2008 19:38

Oggs!
Welcome back to the drunkards gang!

OP posts:
Berrie · 08/02/2008 19:39

I blame Lyra, she is a very bad example to us all...

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 19:39

Ta Oggs.
I don't really get a bad head the day after, it's more of a stomach thing. So far today I have eaten only a doughnut. We're supposed to be having the world's most ridiculously over-priced steaks tonight but not sure I can face it.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/02/2008 19:40

Sorry Miss.
