Well so much for my relaxing time. Got the lurgy too. Spent yesterday in my bed unable to do anything beyond being sick .

Farmed dd out to PIL cos dh working today. He'll pick her up on way home.

Feeling a bit better today, so hopefully I'm on the mend

Glad you had a nice time W.
I also have the obsession about cutting grapes in half

An trying to decide if I'm brave enough to risk food .

Got a fabby wine recommendation for you all:
Banrock Station sparkling Shiraz.
dh had it the other night and says it is wonderful (I don't like red wine). Looks not unlike fizzy Ribena (very potent though!!)
Pays to shop around for it though. Somerfield sell it for £8.49 a bottle, while he got it in Sainsbury's for £5.49!!

It gives you a very bad head that wine MD!

Been at my mum and dad's and pil all weekend without dh to let him and bil get their 'album' finished. Gees I hope they appreciated it. I am frazzled I'm so tired.

That sounds like the voice of experience, Jennster
dh seemed to survive ok (or maybe too macho to admit to sore head )

I'm still poorly, and now I gotta cope with dd single-handed . She is determined to bounce on my stomach, which really ain't helping anything!!

Lovely but think the bubbles make you think it's less potent than it is, and then you go and drink more.

OMG ds woke last night at 9.45, so I went up and fed him and decided I was so tired I would go to bed myself......8.75 hours later I wake up! That is the longest stretch I have had in 3 years. Makes up for the crap amount of sleep I've had all weekend.

Am at such a long sleep

so this eve i decided to actually go for it and out ds2 down to sleep in his and ds1's room. i sat and told him downstairs what i was doing and that after he had drunk his bottle he was going to sleep in connors room in his cot, (and he has now taken to saying no), im sure he understood me as he was not impressed and did his throwing himslef backwards malarky and saying no no no.

but we went upstairs, he had his baby einstein playing on ds1's cd player and he layed down, and actually started to close his eyes..... till one of the bloddy cats decided to have a mad 5 mins and runs into the room and jumps on to the windowsill and knocs down ds1's 3d puzzle which bangs and breaks into bits so they both got chucked outside and we started again. which took about and hour of me going in and getting him to laydown until he eventually give up crying and went to sleep. but i thought an hour was quite good. just have to wait and see if he goes through the night on his own.......

Tend to wake up every couple of hours, worse if I'm worried about something.

Hope it works out Worley

well he slept till 1.30am when dp decided he would shout up the stairs to tell me he was home from work he claimed he hadnt got my text to tell him ds2 was in his own cot. but hes there all night tonight so hopefullly he will sleep longer...

am sitting in bed on dp's laptop, to keep me away from the kitchen i keep going in and picking at stuff so im all cosied up in bed.

our front door lock has boken, i can only lock it from the inside so in the morning i have to put everything outside the front door, lock it and then traipse round with the kids, it seems to add about 5 mins on with all the messing around... dont know yet if we have to have a new door or they can just get new locks fitted, its a upvc one so not sure about them???

ha ha macdog

we have a upvc front door too, I would hope you can just get the lock done, our garage door lock has broken, dont know who to ask about that either, a locksmith or a garage doorsmith...

Why can't I see your pictures Macdog?

RE UPVC door locks. You should be able to change the lock shouldn't you? If not you could always change the barrel in the existing lock? I am possibly talkin bollocks. Drinking a glass of cava.

well the locks working again today!! i wondered if it was too cold for it?? dunno, anyway, while its working i will leave it until i get paid next week now. both ds's need new shoes next week too, so expensive shopping trip coming i think. ds1 is in to these geox shoes - the ones that help their feet breathe - according to the adverts on the kids tv channel!!! the only thing is they are around £40 a pair, and i thought clarkes were expensive

i did see a nice pair of hush puppies for ds2 that were nearly £30 this afternoon!!! he can stay in clarkes like ds1 has always done until his geox obssession

Worley. Sorry to hear that. Holidays are so special. Have you been to Brantano for children's shoes.

Poor Worleys.
We are toying with the idea of a holiday this year, nothing fancy, maybe a holiday park up north or southern Scotland.

I have finally been able to keep food down for the first time in days!!

dd also back to normal, so braving the gales to go swimming today.

Am trying something new on my skin. It's a blend of peach kernel oil, evening primrose oil and sweet almond oil. So far so good

Well central heating boiler went on blink last night, just as dh was running dd's bath!
Joy of being council tenant: called repairs line, engineer out and boiler mended within 2 hours (and it needed a new part at that!) It had been in throes of death rattle for a while and is now running silently again (and it didn't cost us a bean!)

i've looked in brantanos for ds2 but they didnt go down small enough for him, last time we went they didnt have geox though,
i might look online to see if they sell chepaer anywhere else, i'll take him to clarkes get his feet measured then buy them else where!! ds1 is impressed with the computer measurer thing. do you remember the machine they had years ago and you put your foot init and metal sides closed in side to side and top to bottom and gave the measurement then. i used to love it, plus they had a big rocking horse in there which was excellent

ds1 has gone to the cinema with 3 friends for one of thems birthday then the mum is taking them to pizza hut. ds1 has driven me mad all week as he couldnt wait to go.
so my mum took ds2 while i had a leisurely stroll round tescos and managed to spen £65, even with out no children and dp putting extras in. but then i decided i do have every meal for the week planned and catered for so i shouldn't have to go again to get something i've missed,,,, famous last words.
