what a nice knitting offer you are clever I wish I could knit, I used to do barbie scarves.

Jennster · 06/02/2008 22:15

Obviously there would need to be some decorating going on, but it's a lovely tree lined street, and the garden is very private and not overlooked.

worley · 07/02/2008 20:12

very nicce jenn, agree with the lots of decoration, i expected to see a knitted lady covering the toilet roll!!

our nextdoor neighbout has sold her house to her daughter, she moves in 2 weeks to london with her new boyfriend (it hasn't been a year yet scince her dh died) and if that doesnt work out she going back to new zealand.

have a physio session tomorrow morning, saw the consultant yesterday but he doesnt know whats going on with my knee, except i have an inch of muscle wasteage apparently. not sure what to expect in physio??

Oooh I'm in love with that house but dh isn't. The garden is incredibly noisy with traffic. Not sure I could live with it. We are just off to view another. It's not on the market so can't link. Will let you know.

worley · 10/02/2008 10:35

oh dear, i told ds1 an hourago we going to go out and play then go to tescos etc, except i thought "i'll just check to see if the broadband is working"(after we just had a strange text messsage on the land line from sky) and it was so i have now been on the net surfing for an hour, i really have to try and turn it off... ds2 has tried pouring his juice in to the keyboard already.

am getting addicted to facebook again.... must try to stop it now

The Mac is back!!!
Got fed up typing long nicknames

Been up to my eyes in more bitchy mothers, takes me ages to get all the daggers out my back on a Friday

dd up last night being sick . It's only the second time in her life she's ever been sick. She's up this morning and had a banana and a slice of toast and is currently dancing with her daddy in her room, so I think she's feeling better now

worley · 11/02/2008 19:56

been ice skating today, was excellent. i havnt been for years, i didnt fall over once although i didnt stray to far from the sides!! dp skated circles roiund us as he grew up near an ice rink and is brilliant

then we went to watch alvin and the chipmunks, which ds1 thought was really good but dp and i thought it could have been better. i told ds1 we can look for some of the old cartoons, and he said "what have you seen it before?" this was after only a few weeks ago he asked if i had a black and white telly when i was little.... i must seem really old to him

Oooh the other house was lovely too. We've decided to stay put though and wait until we can afford the only houses in the area we know we like.

Glad you had a lovely time at the ice rink Worley. We went to my friend's today for a coffee morning and then stayed for lunch. She has three and it was lovely them all playing nicely together. I was so proud of dd and her children were so polite and well brought up.

Macdog · 12/02/2008 20:06

Well, have survived Macpup's 2nd Birthday (piccies on FB)
Seem to have been running round all day, but been happy chaos!!

worley · 12/02/2008 20:17

happy birthday mcpup.
did she get anything exciting?

im watching the jeelyfish thing on channel5. i didnt realise just how dangerous some of them are. we tend to get influxs of them here in the summer, but us locals dont go in the sea very much now, just the holiday makers, but they dont realsie that the sewage outlet is only a few miles down the coast,,,ergh,,,, we do still have a blue flag though.

evening all

feeling sick again, due to this rotten cold I have had for two bloody weeks with dd. She was horrendous monday night, up coughing till 1am, awful. Its even affecting her eye, streaming and just horrid. So no playgroups for 2 weeks now, am going a bit batty.

We have a leaving date! whether house is sold or not we are going the last week of March, am so excited but worried about everything that needs to be done. Got to get some boxes!

Hope you are all well, happy 2nd birthday macpup, happy househunting J; and hope Derby is lovely W XXX

worley · 12/02/2008 22:17

just looked at macpups pictures, i LOVE that thomas cake, ds1 would have killed to have got a thomas cake like that!!! he was obssessed (to many s's?) with thomas bigtime when he was younger, we have hundreds of trains and now ds2 prefers cars.... typical

even i knew all the trains off by heart

OP posts:
worley · 12/02/2008 22:19

sympathies to voodz, we've all had a cold thing that seems to effect us in the eve and night but after an hour of getting up its gone again. i just want a decent nights sleep

Cake made by VERY talented friend of MIL. She also did our wedding cake.

I have no talents for baking at all. I've never been very good at the exact nature of baking ingredients. Prefer to lob bits and bobs in and do soups/stews etc !!!

dd got loads of lovely clothes, toys (both annoying and not annoying) and we got her a Thomas train set (still in box ).
Have been buying stuff for toddlers this week; babywalkers and high chairs.
I highly recommend Kiddicare for buying stuff. I ordered 2 babywalkers, some storage buckets and a blanket. Ordered Sunday night, delivered Tuesday morning!!
For the highchairs we hit IKEA. Spent too much (again) !!! (not on the highchairs I hasten to add, but rather on all the bits I 'need' that I spy as I wander round

worley · 13/02/2008 20:51

i love ikea, but our nearest one is at lakeside at thurrock shopping centre, near london. so rarely go. but always spen a small fortune when we do go there.

actually, just thought of this we went to one in nottingham once but dont think i can persuade dp to make a pit stop there tomorrow.

worley · 13/02/2008 20:53

i have brought dp a valentines card and made him a valentines playlist on the itunes for his ipod. dont know what he'll think of that, its not the standard celine dion kind of love song slush it's kind of things like paul wellar, macy gray, johnny mathis and meatloaf.

OP posts:
Jennster · 14/02/2008 11:23

Hello folks. Hope the Voodoos feel better soon.

Hope you are enjoying half term Worley.

I'm getting Ikea withdrawal symptoms. Need one of those Antilop high chairs....How sad is that, I even know the name of them.

DH got me a bottle of champagne and tickets to see Madame Butterfly. Made DH some lemon heart biscuits and he got some valentines marmite on toast (with champagne in it yuk) cut into hearts....Spoiled completely by ds sleeping right through to 6.30 who I fed and put back down to sleep only for dd to wake up and start shouting mummy at the top of her voice.

Macdog · 15/02/2008 11:09

dh got me 12 red roses and a box of chocs delivered

However dd was up most of night with extreme diarrhoea accompanied by screaming. Seems to have cleared now (touch wood), just the remnants of the sickness at weekend hopefully

Macdog · 15/02/2008 19:16

Well dd seems to be a lot better. She's got a better appetite and been bouncing around the house again.
She was out in the garden for a while pm with her daddy playing in her sandpit.

Have been up to my eyes in trying to catch up with all the washing/drying. Just when I caught up I had another pooey/sicky car seat/sheet/sleeping bag/jammies/trousers/t-shirts/vests etc to deal with.

Been really environmentally unsound cos the tumble dryer been going non-stop for days to clear the backlog. Still got another few weeks till the sun gets into my back garden to dry things on the line.

Looking forward to wine and a dvd tonight

worley · 16/02/2008 20:35

hello, you've been having a fun time then macdog
ds2 was sick yesterday morning, just as we started drinving through the narrow windy roads, nightmare trying to find some where safe to pull over and get him out, strip him down and get him in his spare clothes. i think he managed to regurgitate a grape and it made him gag!!!!!! way too much info!! thankgoodness i have an obssession with cutting them in half before i give them to him.

OP posts:
worley · 16/02/2008 20:38

we had a fantastic time, went down the ble john caverns which ds1 really really enjoyed. ds2 was the quietest we've ever known him, i dont think he was too sure about it in there. but the guide was really good and as it was only us another couple with 2 littleuns he gave us a brilliant tour and letting ds1 and thier boy really close to thw rocks and letting them look yup the tunnels etc.
