Chucking it down with rain, so took dd swimming.

That should ensure she goes out like a light tonight

Macdog · 31/08/2008 16:44

Fabby pics, worley!

worley · 31/08/2008 17:25

thankyou md!
did i say they managed to salvage most of the stuff of dp's laptop? i sat and burnt everything to disc last night!

saw my next door but one neighbour this afternoon whi told me she heard from the lady opposite us ( a school dinner lady and the school cleaner) that ds1's new school wont be open on weds as they havnt finished the building work and 'cause of health and safety they dont know when it will be open!!!

so i rang ds1's best friends mum who had also heard the same thing from a school governor she knows and it wont be open for another 2 weeks!!!
god i hope they are all wrong and its just gossip as i dont know what the hell im going to do with him. i dont have 2 weeks holiday left to take and work will be very pissed off if i have to take toil.
its only the offices that arent finished so dont know why they cant have the rest of the school open??

i will ring the local lea tomorrow am asap!!

I have had 2 small shopping trips for 20 mins each to local shops, once with just dd and once with NO KIDS!!!! was lovely to wander round matalan, albeit for 20 mins, with no worry about one crying and the other destroying displays... went when dh looked after them on an evening.
he still has his weds night badminton hour and a half, so figured I need a set weekly shopping evening too! good idea, eh.

still felt eaten up with guilt about leaving the boys alone!!

ps. I couldnt leave him crying, hes back in with us again. its fine though, will try again in a few weeks. dont even think they can tell diff. between night and day/ start a little routine till 8wks minimum, and hes only 7 weeks today.

love to you 3 XXX

Macdog · 05/09/2008 09:03

Glad you're getting some time on your own, Voods

Macdog · 05/09/2008 12:01

Well the pub that was hosting Mikey's Big Brother Party has gone bust and had their power turned off.

Sums our town up really.....

worley · 05/09/2008 14:13

got ds2 his new bed yesterday, (The car toddler bed, which he thinks is roary the racing car), he loved it as we were building it, he kept passing us all the bits, and i was saying to him, are you going to sleep in ds1s room, and he would answer yes, ds1 going to sleep in his bed, he would answer yes, and i said mummy sleep in her bed, and he said no!!! mummy sleep in roary bed!!
but i stayed with him till he sell asleep, both ds1 and ds2 went to bed at the same time and we listened to 20mins of ds1's dr who cd story then he was asleep, and went all the way through in his own bed!! yay!!

fingers crossed for tonight

whippy i can agree with that!!
i lopve my morning of shopping with no children, not even dp!

when ds1 was at nursery one of the mums used to book her ds in for an extra session on a friday and she used to tell me how much she loved her time all by herself, at the time i though she was horrid for booking him in and he could have been with her,, BUT now i know where she was coming from!! i love it, even if it is just a couple of hours, its enough for yourr sanity

My dd loves that racing car bed when she sees it in a shop!

WhippyVoodoo · 05/09/2008 20:50

well done on the car bed, W...

Ive bought bedding from asda for dd, we are prepping her to move into her OWN BEDROOM like a BIG GIRL , but need to move the pooter and get another safety gate for the doorway of the room first...

Macdog · 05/09/2008 21:27

AAARGH!!
We've no water

They're working on the water main in our street.

Can't have a nice hot bath or anything.

Luckily dd had hers and is in her kip

worley · 05/09/2008 21:39

ds2 is very happy as he has ds1's old duvet sets, he has bob the builder and thomas the tank engine!
i did try to look for lazy town as he worships sportacus but argos have stopped doing it.

as for the stair gate, our one for the top of the stairs is broken , so i tried to get an extension kit so i could transfer the kitchen gate to the stairs but they have stopped doing them. so i am having to put the base of the cot across the stairs so he doesnt walk out of his room straight into the hallway and down the stairs.
ds1 fell down the stairs when he was about 3 after pulling the old stairgate down (it was a fabric type one which was pretty useless)and still has the scar on his side where he skinned himself.
