new home? my mum and dad have had their offer accepted on this house!!!

WhippyVoodoo · 22/08/2008 19:12

so...my parents move house in 2 months flat and we've had 4 viewings in 7 months life is so damned unfair.

also why, when dh comes home does it feel like the third child has got in from school? he is in selfish git mode tonight. grrrrrrrrrr. dd driven me mad with boundless ridiculous energy all day, even though did a long walk this morning.

Jennster · 22/08/2008 21:51

I've no carpets downstairs, but I do on the stairs and landing and bedrooms.

That's tough luck Voodoo. We want to move to a bigger house. We could afford a bigger house, but not where we want, and even if we could, they are never for sale so forget it now. Dh reckons we should leaflet drop and hope for a divorce can you tell what he does for a living? Did I say we were thinking of dividing a bedroom into 2 small rooms? Well it's happening in 4 weeks while we are on holiday!

Love to the skids.

worley · 24/08/2008 09:31

jenn if hes a solicitor in not happy with one that keeps sending us a bill for work that our neighbour requested was done, she then decided it should be divided between us!!

im livid and after he sent us a final reminder telling us he would take us to court if we failed to pay i went a bit ballistic on the phone to his receptionist. we didt ask for him to do the work, we didnt sign anything, i have never met him, so how he can charge us for it i dont know!!!!

but im sure your hubby is lovely

what is slightly disappointing tripe is the sesame tree...none of the charm of the sesame street at all, except the bert annd ernie clips they use. shame.

Jennster · 24/08/2008 21:20

Worley. DH said don't ignore the letter because you could end up owing it any way. Will email you in a bit.

Jennster · 24/08/2008 21:48

Last night's adventures

Really shattered today

worley · 27/08/2008 11:48

do you ever fancy moving md?!!!

it must be horrible having the police knocking at your door that time of night.

when dp's mum was in hospital they sent the police out to get him when they thought she was about to die, but they sent the police to the wrong address, f*ing morons. this was when they "forgot" i was onduty and only had to call me in the dept next door to them.
dp would have had heart attack if police had of got the right address.

i havnt even got dressed yet, i got in from picking boys up last night at 11pm and went straight to bed, but did play tetris on my phone for a little while, but we didnt wake up till 9.30am this morning, it was HEAVEN!!! have another late shift tonight then back to normal again, thankgoodness.

At the moment it suits us where we are.
The thought of a mortgage scares me.

It's really handy for everything here, can walk to the main shops in a few mins

Macdog · 28/08/2008 10:36

Well, managed to get a night's sleep last night.

Weather sucks: opened dd's curtains this morning, she took one look outside and pronounced 'Ray-nin' with a big sigh

Wee soul

worley · 28/08/2008 14:21

The Haddows in our town is having a closing-down sale

Jennster · 28/08/2008 21:36

Aw Worley! so sorry to hear that. How gutted that feeling must be.

Macdog · 29/08/2008 08:05

Well dd got a new hat yesterday.

A bright yellow JCB helmet!

She's so girly

worley · 29/08/2008 14:44

ds2 had his first proper hair cut yesterday,
i was nearly ctying, all his beautifull curls have gone and now its short back and sides with a little bit on top, "to gel up" as the lady said, but i dont bother gelling my boys hair unless its a special occ.!!
will put a picture up as soon as i've taken one! i have to find the camera first, i know i puit it some where out of ds2's reach!!lol

he had to get it cut as he got mistaken for a girl twice last week, so enough was enough ans it was lopped off. ds1 also had his cut ready for going back to school, will be ogg in a minute to go but new school trousers and shoes, still have a feww ither bits to get him too. its soooo expensive starting a new school, i had to get him a woodwork apron, scientific calculator (at 9 ffs!!)his house colour tshirts, BLACK tracksuit (not blur but it had to be black!!) white socks for pe, black for school uniform, i think if the school is going to make up all this uniform malarky they should pay towards it or make do with his transformers socks and dr who boxershorts!!

Jennster · 29/08/2008 18:19

Tee hee Worley. My school uniform at secondary school was quite strict (not private I might add) Girls wore navy and boys black, so you couldn't even pass clothes on to siblings if they were a different sex. Plain A line skirt, no pleats, splits, belts or anything. Lads weren't allowed white socks with their uniform or dark with their sports kit. PE had to be Airtex top, gym knickers or skirt or both if you were modest and boisterous like me.

Macdog · 29/08/2008 19:44

God I HATED gym knickers.

Macdog · 30/08/2008 09:36

more 'excitement' last night.
Neighbour across road got the pillar for their gate knocked over by a ned.
Absolutely gutting for them, built it themselves last week - they were waiting for the gates to be delivered

We're going here today. got vouchers for a buy-one-get-one

worley · 30/08/2008 21:30

i never had school uniform, we all wore what we wanted, except for Pe and we did have a pe uniform!! at middle it was a horrbile polyester yellow and royal blue top and gym skirt and at high school it was a maroon rugy shirt.(and bottoms!)
i wish we did have school uniform as it was always a competion to wear the best all the time. they do have uniform at my old schoold now though.

been to peterborough to look at a car for dp today, he has in his head a specific car and it was the nearest that one was for sale. its only an alfa romeo 147 so nothing extravagant, but for some reason there were none near here and its what he wanted, so we have to traipse all the way back again on monday to pick it up. why he cant just have car from near here i dont know..... bloody men and cars...
