where is the missing wedding ring??
under the sofa? checked the hoover bag?

dd kept saying 'hoo-er' (kind of like comedy way to say 'whore') took me ages to realise she meant hoover..

stopped being sick for a while, havent taken any anti-vom. tablets for over a week hooray.
my back, hips and pelvis are bloody murder though, cant turn over in bed at night which drives me mad, walking on a hard surface is painful, getting up after sitting down the list goes on. wonder if it will get worse as I get heavier? did any of you have painful hips?

got dhs birthday party on sat, 10 family members coming better start tidying up

had no more viewings, housing market has gone completely tits up round here think we're going to knock another 5k off the price

we've decided to stay in manc till I finish work at least, so no dreaded moving in with the inlaws yet...

Macdog · 03/04/2008 15:24

Wedding ring has totally vanished.
I've had the whole house upside down, raked through bin bags, checked and double checked the hoover, investigated under and down the side of settee and in dd's toy bags.
Has gone

Just in from swimming, and off to try Jamies meatballs (snurk, snurk!!), (using lovely butchers mince though .

Sorry to hear the house market not good, Voods. Will keep everything crossed

Meanwhile house porn here and here
I've lusted after these for as long as I can remember.
Short of a lottery win (or two) I'll have to stick to admiring the pictures

jennster · 03/04/2008 16:44

FWIW I've said a prayer to St Anthony for you. I think it's St Anthony that finds things Macdog.

OMG Those houses are to die for! Can't quite decide which I like more. I like Darley House even though it's very modern. It's only four bedrooms though. The other is 19 bedrooms but only 15 bathrooms, but with fab dining room type rooms...Hmm. I think I'll bid for Darley House. The children can have the downstairs rooms, and DH and I can have the master bedroom.

Macdog · 03/04/2008 19:23

Thanks Jenn . Trying not to get too worked up over it. Been feeling a bit down, and trying not to make it worse

Darley is gorgeous!
Nether Auchendrane used to be a nursing home that's been re-converted to a family home.

We get such good house porn up here, all castles and estates.
Never have a hope of owning any of it, but it's good fun to look (and share!)

Meatballs are YUMMY!! dd polished off a big plate of them with fusilli.
She's off to PIL for weekend giving dh and I peace to wander off down the bookies and squander pennies on three legged donkeys with fat jockeys

Macdog · 03/04/2008 23:54

Oh FRICK girls, need more positive thoughts.
Was on phone tonight and discovered a lump under the skin on my ankle
It's on the front of my leg about an inch from the 'foot hinge' (insert technical term here, Worley ) and is about the size and shape of a baked bean. I realise it's probably nothing to worry about, but I'll get it checked out by GP tomorrow (Fri)

Am scared, though

Send me a hug

Will keep you posted

jennster · 04/04/2008 07:19

A ganglion? Don't worry about it Macdog. Dr will sort you out. More positive thoughts though

jennster · 04/04/2008 07:21

My mum has had one of these

Macdog · 04/04/2008 12:20

Thanks for that, Jenn.
I realise it's probably nothing, but the way my luck's been going....

Anyhoo got appointment for pm, so will keep you posted.

Macdog · 04/04/2008 19:23

And the verdict is.....

lipoma

Have a good weekend everyone!

jennster · 05/04/2008 00:10

Phew I'm so glad Macdog. Night night

Macdog · 06/04/2008 19:55

Ended up with dd at Doc on Call on Fri night. Her temp spiked and nothing would get it down (tried Nurofen & Calpol).
Doc reckons it's her teeth or a mild virus, either way we can't do any more.
Left her with PIL last night cos dh working today, she seems to be back to normal now

Got a pasta/tomato/cheesey/basil bakey thing in the oven, that is starting to waft thisaway so I'm offski

jennster · 06/04/2008 20:42

Just had a home made curry. Dh made it and was loverly.

DD been sick since Friday night. She was sick in bed and didn't wake us. We woke up to soggy sheets. yuk. She hasn't kept anything down since. She didn't have a temp on Saturday but has a low temp today. She is absolutely wiped out. Had 2 very long naps and been floppy and loving all day. She didn't want to drink anything but milk, but milk made her upchuck so I expressed an ounce or two and gave her that. She still wouldn't drink water so dug around in the freezer and found some expressed milk I've had in there for over a year.....I half defrosted it and put it in a bowl and hey presto she wolfed it down.

jennster · 06/04/2008 20:43

Glad macpup is feeling better btw.

jennster · 07/04/2008 09:35

Oh dear. She's still not well so going to the Dr this morning. I know there isn't anything they can do but my sis who is a doc says I should take her so they can at least see her.

Macdog · 07/04/2008 10:06

Hope it's nothing serious, fingers crossed for Jennbub.
There's been a lot of gastro-virus things round here. Hopefully it's going to go as fast as its come. She's lucky you can give her EBM, that's gotta be good for her

jennster · 07/04/2008 13:53

Spoken to my sister after speaking to the Dr. He was useless. Sis put it in these sort of terms. No wees today is not enough. If difficult to rouse (she is) then I need to FORCE fluid in her. I've got an oral syringe and am making her swallow 20mls every 20 mins, because it's either struggle now, or watch her have an IV drip in her.

Macdog · 07/04/2008 17:39

Get well soon Jennbub

Hope she's soon able to drink again

jennster · 07/04/2008 20:53

Not much better She really perked up when dh got home from work and so we thought she might be ok to eat. She asked for beans on toast, but brought it back up with in minutes of eating some. I'd forced a load of fluid in her and it all came up.

Macdog · 08/04/2008 09:39

How is she today, Jenn?
Any improvement??

jennster · 08/04/2008 12:40

Toast for breakfast brought up an hour ago. There wasn't much to her before, now she is skin and bones. I'm just looking into some paediatric anit emetic suppositories to get the GP to prescribe.

Macdog · 08/04/2008 12:44

Keeping fingers crossed for her

VoodooCoconut · 08/04/2008 19:35

poor jennbub hope she is better, you must be out of your mind it is so dreadful when they're ill

lots of love to y'all XXXXXXXXX

Macdog · 10/04/2008 10:38

How is she today, Jenn?
Hoping she's on the mend.

We had the Parent & Toddler toy clean last night. This is where everything get pulled out of the toy cupboard, cleaned, sorted and put away again.

6 people (including yours truly) turned up. This is out of a membership of around 60.
Just can't believe people.
Didn't realise I was that unpopular

Been thinking about investing in this slide (with the help of a grant, probably) to replace our old wooden weighs a ton one

Catch you all later

jennster · 10/04/2008 14:03

DD not vomited since Tuesday, she just has dreadful diarrhoea now. DS puked loads last night and also has the skids. DD seems ok but very weak. She totally refused dioralyte before today, but now it's pinky ponk juice she will drink it
