Ice pops but I had to crunch them
Any kind of milk shake or flavoured milk (pints of the stuff)

Frenchgirl · 29/11/2004 15:13

double chocolate chip muffins (so very healthy). I suspect 'cravings' were just a good excuse in my mind to have them though.....
hated the smell of coffee and grilled meat, and the smell of laundry!!

tammybear · 29/11/2004 15:17

lol Thomcat, you just reminded me I had a craving for milk too. I even use to go into McDonalds and buy about 3 or 4 of their cartons of milk cos I was desperate for some and had to drink out of the cartons cos their straws were rubbish! How cool did I look!

branston pickle - and yes I could tell if it wasn't branston and no it wasn't the same!! Also made dh drive round national trust places one Sunday in search of a proper homemade National Trust style chocolate cake. When I got it I didn't want it anymore and he very nearly left me there.

couldn't stand the smell of lamb tho and would physically shudder at wet lettuce. Odd time being pg.

NomDePlume · 29/11/2004 15:18

Ice or anything really cold. Didn't care what the weather was like, just had to eat really cold stuff. I also loved fish and seafood, which I carried with me post birth. My 'top smell' was the fresh fish counter in my local Tesco !

NomDePlume · 29/11/2004 15:21

I was told by sooooooo many people that my ice craving meant I was having a boy. DD is now 2y 3m !!!!

spicy tortilla chips..........WITH GRAPES!!

surfermum · 29/11/2004 15:27

Ooh! I've been reminded now. The smell of cheese and onion crisps - I couldn't even bear to look at the packets. Anyone eating them in the pub was banished to another table out of sight. Weird!! Love them normally.

My staple diet was iced donuts for the first trimester as they tasted the same on the way up as on the way down (and nothing stayed down). After that just couldn't get enough fruit or yoghurt.

I spent at least a fortnight looking for those little round coconut tea cakes, as I HAD to have them. Eventually found some while on hols in Cornwall in a tiny village and bought the lot, including the jar they were in. Keep it now as a piggy bank for dd and a reminder of how nuts I went when carrying her.

Thomcat · 29/11/2004 16:27

linniewith2 · 29/11/2004 16:58

strangely enough it has a slightly metalic taste but I realy liked the crunching and the texture ! (lost a filling through it though lol)

linniewith2 · 29/11/2004 17:03

My neighbours must of thought I was mad as I would go out late at night and search the gravel driveway for just the right sort of stone to crunch, even I think I'm mad reading this back !

I have now been free of my sand/stone addiction for almost 5 mnths lol
