Thomcat · 29/11/2004 13:04

Lucazade.
Spinach and green stuff.
I ate a lot of nuts too, not peanuts as i'd be scared off them but all other types.

Main one was milk, I guzzled it at the fridge door stright from carton. D would say, 'Can't you usea glass' and I'd turn to him with milk dribblying down by chin and neck and say 'There's no time' and go back to guzzling it! Nice

ds1 cheese and milk (presumably for calcium content)
ds2 sweets and choc
ds3 sweets and choc and a phase of crisps (presumably for salk content)

I think your body has an increased need for certain vitamins and minerals so you will feel like eating those foods that contain them.

DD1 Crushed Ice and ice lollies.

DD2, nothing in particular, which was a shame as DH bought loads of ice and lollies in preparation...

I've got to ask... Sponges? Eating them? Or what?

And with earth - I have heard about it before, but never known anyone who has and how does this work? Did you go out and dig some up? Eat it with a spoon? Find yourself sitting in the garden toddler fashion, scooping it up? I am intrigued? Did you feel odd about it? What drew you to such a thing?

I AM curious george.

tarantula · 29/11/2004 13:45

I craved porridge yummy and toally went off curry and mackrel both of which I normally love.

woodpops · 29/11/2004 13:45

Fig rolls with chocolate thick shakes. Oh a KFC gravy and chips.

prettycandles · 29/11/2004 14:16

First time around: Marmite on white bread toast with butter - but only in the mornings, and only for the first 4 months. Had a real 'thing' for salads (which I gave in to) and for salty food (which I resisted) but not a craving as such.

Second time around: Marmite! Marmite! Marmite! It even eased my morning sickness. Caesar salad (but only Sommerfield's own-brand) and salty foods (I would eat a packet of crisps on the sly, and then quickly swig down a couple of pints of water ). But again, the cravings completely switched off after 4 months. Still wanted salty foods though.

NotQuiteCockney · 29/11/2004 14:16

DS1: sugar, milk, cream, ice cream. Couldn't eat meat of any sort except salmon. Couldn't eat spicy food.

DS2: vinegar, mustard, radishes. Ate everything. Loved balsamic vinegar + salt crisps. Hate them now.

Strangely, I put on more weight for DS1.

prettycandles · 29/11/2004 14:17

And I couldn't bear the smell of chicken, which meant that I would only eat chicken or eggs if I didn't have to prepare it or see it complete.

spacemonkey · 29/11/2004 14:17

Apples. Couldn't bear the smell of coffee.

Ronniebaby · 29/11/2004 14:17
