oh BGD - cricket is sooooooooooo boring [yawn]

BigGayDad · 24/11/2004 23:33

I love it, so does Mrs BGD and even dd1, but not on the telly when cbeebies is on the other side! Took dd1 to her first cricket match in the summer and she was on Sky Sports!

JoolsToo · 24/11/2004 23:37

I can just about put up with one day cricket, but normal cricket is so tedious.

I think they take their time cos they like rubbing the ball in their groin and they don't want to stop. Once the ball has been unleashed the batsman has a stab at hitting it but quite often he misses or it dribbles about two feet in front of him - everyone scrambles for the ball, throw it back to bowler who then takes another 20 minutes walking back - having a chat along the way and starts the rubbing all over again - aaarrrrrrgggghhhhhh!

BigGayDad · 24/11/2004 23:39

And what do they talk about when they are walking back to bowl again. Well they probably haven't discovered mn so they talk about crap and all sorts then instead!

BigGayDad · 24/11/2004 23:40

It was a twenty twenty game I took dd1 to, I figured she couldn't cope with more than a couple of hours!

joolstoo · 24/11/2004 23:42

they're probably saying 'these red stains are terrible to get out of me whites mate'

BigGayDad · 24/11/2004 23:44

LOL.Mind you if I was playing against someone hurling a ball at me at 95mph, I'd be asking them how to remove the brown stains!

JoolsToo · 24/11/2004 23:47

have you ever played Indoor Cricket - now that is exciting - especially when you're a girl receiving a ball from a bloke - super scarey - AND you fenced in

fun tho!

BigGayDad · 24/11/2004 23:51

Played indoor cricket a few times. Mrs BGD has played too, but she scored more than me so I try to avoid playing with her too often. Scarey when the bal is flying off the fences and you don't know where it is going!
